Lilliput House is a spacious detached house situated in the much sought-after location of Lilliput Village, Poole, Dorset. Its enviable position offers panoramic views of the harbour from many of the second-floor bedrooms and is central to many of Poole’s finest locations to include Sandbanks and Canford Cliffs.

For active individuals, sandy beaches are easily accessible by car.

Lilliput House is within yards of the local amenities to include, convenience store, hairdresser, bank and local sailing club.
Regular public transport to Poole and Bournemouth is available from directly outside the property.
Visitors will be welcomed at the entrance by automatic front doors that lead to the glass entrance foyer.

Accommodation comprises; 54 elegant single rooms all with en-suite facilities, dining room, lounge with an adjoining conservatory overlooking the garden, equipped with a 42 inch TV, hearing loop system, and a combined CD and Radio System.

I had 2 previous employers in Lilliput House. I visit them both on the same visit. I found one lady at 11.30 am with a cold cup of tea and her breakfast still in front of her. My other lady was in bed at 10.20 am with a cold cup of tea. When I gave her the tea she drank it straight down as there was
no water in reach and no glass.

We are so sorry to hear that you felt your friend’s stay was not satisfactory.
We received no complaints in August relating to your feedback and every guest enjoyed their stay.
Residents at Lilliput House get to choose when they get up and quite often indulge in staying in bed later including eating breakfast. This is often not achievable when receiving care at home due to time constraints and less flexibility.
We also appreciate that carers who have dedicated love, care, and consideration to their previous customers will always continue to feel fiercely protective when visiting and that perhaps external services could never match their own contribution.
Refreshments are available 24 hours a day via room service. We do wish that you had requested a fresh cup of tea from our helpful team, rather than providing cold cups of tea to our guests.
Every bedroom is provided with a fresh jug of water and glass.
We always welcome feedback to ensure that we can continuously improve our services.
It is always more effective if we have the opportunity to receive any complaints directly and in a timely manner ensuring that if we have got something wrong, we can put it right with immediate effect.

Rosie Hanmer

Job Title: Registered Manager

Rosie was born in Poole Dorset, together with her Husband Chris they have a wonderful Family of 5 Children and 3 Grandchildren .


Rosie with her natural caring nature has been in the Care Industry since the age of 25 starting off as a Carer then progressing to a Senior Carer . Realising very early that the care industry was Rosie's passion she then progressed to Deputy Manager. In 2016 Rosie became a registered Care Home Manager.


We are thrilled here at Lilliput House to have Rosie Join the Family .

Laura Fisher

Job Title: Deputy Manager

Joined: 2019

Laura started her career in Care 15 years ago. Joining Lilliput House in 2019 Laura has fallen in love with our Resident and is a fantastic addition to the Lilliput Family.


Laura assists the Home Manager Rosie with the day-to-day running of Lilliput House, as well as keeping all Resident's Care Plans up to date and making sure their care is nothing but the best. Keeping in touch with Families daily with any updates and making sure needs are met to the highest standard.

A Familiar Face at Lilliput House Michelle has been part of the Family for 17 Years.


Michelle started her career with us as a Carer doing night and Day Shifts. Moving on to Team Leader then went on to the role of Care Coordinator.


In 2019 Michelle was then promoted to Head Of Care. Michelle is passionate about making sure the residents are cared for to the highest standard and all their individual needs are met.


Always there with any concerns the Resident or Family have. Michelle is the heart of Lilliput House

Joined: 2013

We are very lucky to have Eddie as our Head Chef at Lilliput House.


Eddie worked on the high sea's in the Merchant Navy for years before starting at Lilliput House in 2013.
Eddie has a personal relationship with all our Resident's and makes sure they all get that personal touch and happy with the choice on our Daily Menu.
