I cannot rate Highfield Residential & Dementia Care Home highly enough. My lovely father was here for 9 months, and the care he was given was truly outstanding. The manager and her team were amazing to my father; he was given total respect and care at all times. My mother and I were happy with the care
he was shown, and since he passed, it's given us great comfort to know that in the last months of his life, we knew he was safe, respected and cared for. My mother and I were also shown the same respect and kindness when visiting; we were grateful for that too. It was always beautifully clean, and the food was lovely. I would highly recommend Highfield Residential & Dementia Care Home to anyone.

My stepmother has been treated with kindness and respect. The staff have done their utmost to help her cope with some difficult physical problems and, although her dementia is still relatively mild, they manage to stay cheery and positive. Policies during Covid have meant residents have been kept as
safe as possible, and continue to be so.

My mum now has a home at Highfield's and I say that very deliberately, it is her home not a home. The building is in the style of an older large house and not too large, small enough to feel like a home. Mum has multi dementia and no longer recognises family, time or place or even her beloved dog. She
has other medical conditions that need medication and monitoring. Not only does the team at Highfield take excellent care of her physical well-being, they offer loving care in every way. Whilst mostly placid she can become anxious and fretful, they calm and distract her halting escalation so well. Even getting a little toy dog that looks just like her dog for her to cuddle and soothe her. Also getting some special dolls that she looks after, the attention to individual personalised care is amazing. My mum is now part of their family and cared for better than we were becoming able to. The comfort and relief of knowing she is safe and so very well cared for is immeasurable.
