My dear friend was a resident at Oakhaven for two years. In that time she was very happy here and well looked after by all the staff. She particularly enjoyed any trips out, like trips to the theatre and on the canal boat, that the home put on. I would definitely recommend Oakhaven to anyone looking
for a home to stay in, whether respite or permanent.

Mum was in Oakhaven Residential Care Home from October 2011 until she died in March 2015. Oakhaven exceeded her expectations and she never failed to praise the high standard of cleanliness and the friendliness of the staff, which were important to her. We were kept informed and any problems were dealt
with efficiently and swiftly. The lively activities and trips out helped stimulate her. Oakhaven respected Mum at all times and her visitors were warmly welcomed with hospitality and spoke highly of the standard of care. Significantly the carers who met mum on her arrival were with her at the end. I will always be grateful for the realistic and sensitive approach to end of life care, which enabled Mum to have a peaceful and dignified death in familiar surroundings and with the people she loved.

In my opinion the care provided by Oakhaven is outstanding. My mother has now been here for over 3 years and has always been very happy here. She is 98 now and recently had a serious stroke. When the decision was made that nothing further could be done for her, she came back to Oakhaven for end of life
care. There are no words good enough to describe how well she is being cared for here in her hours of need. From the moment she arrived back from hospital the staff have dealt with every aspect of here care with competence and professionalism, with respect for her dignity and also with so much affection for her. As relatives my sister and I have also received care and support in this most difficult time. Thank you Oakhaven!
