The experienced, fully trained staff ensure the best person-centred care available. Rooms are homely and comfortable, and residents are encouraged to personalise their bedrooms - most of which are ensuite.

The gardens, complete with bandstand, are beautiful and often welcome the community in to host a range of events here. There are activities on offer for residents seven days a week, and visitors are welcome anytime.

Burnworthy is a lovely care home in a central location of South Petherton, with a beautiful garden which is ideal for the elderly who are unable to go on visits. It gets the residents to have fresh air and being with nature, where they can hear the birds sing and enjoy the flowers etc. The activities
in the home are excellent and there is a variety of events and lots of interaction with the residents, which is very stimulating for them.

My mother arrived in November 2019 and since this time she has been helped to adapt to her new home. I have been impressed by the attention to detail and the friendliness of all the staff. We are lucky to have found such a well managed home. Also, she loves the food and is now free of all medication
at the age of 90.

The home has a very cheerful atmosphere. The staff is all polite and respectful to visitors and residents alike. My relative seems to be well-cared for and is always clean and tidy. He seems to enjoy his life much better these days.

Burnworthy was recommended to me by a friend whose mother came to live here a while ago. I was very impressed from my first visit and Mum was happy to come and see how she liked it here. When I visited my mother I found Burnworthy House to be very clean. All the staff were very professional and friendly. I joined in with one of the activities and the staff member was very enthusiastic for the whole time. My mother said the food was always good.

I have a comfortable room where I can play my classical CDs and read undisturbed.
The staff here have taken care of me very well - always polite and friendly.
I always feel very 'at home'.
There is always a good variety of excellent food available.

I would recommend Burnworthy House to anyone needing care, support and assistance. I visit every day and have always left with peace of mind that my dear friend is in the best place. The staff are wonderful, caring and compassionate about their residents. The food I am told is beyond expectations. The
house is spotlessly clean and the Activities Manager does a fantastic job, always smiling and encouraging residents to join in with a full calendar of activities. A first class care home in every way.

My parent has been a resident for over a year. The staff are always around, caring and helpful. They know the resident's personal likes and dislikes and try to ensure they are happy and well looked after at all times. There is a large garden with seating under trees and undercover (bandstand) where
residents and family can sit comfortably outside and walk the grounds safely. Meals are good and I often stay to have lunch with the residents. Rooms are warm and light and everywhere is well decorated and inviting. There are often activities which the residents are encouraged to take part in. I would be happy to recommend Burnworthy House and it's staff.

The team at Burnworthy House are amazing. Everyone is cheerful they really get to know the residents and their families. Whenever I ask questions, they know who I am and are able to update me on anything and everything it does not matter which member of the team I speak with. The residents are treated
with the utmost respect and staff really care, going over and above to ensure residents are healthy, happy, stimulated and helped to enjoy and continue their interests. It is a beautiful home, light, airy, friendly and community focussed with a superb garden and home cooked food. Mum is really happy. Thank you all.

My Mother, when asked, has never any complaints on any aspect of Burnworthy House. Although she is in the early stages of dementia she is still very aware of the right way from wrong. I visit regularly and see for myself what a great home it is in every way.

Alison

Alison Tiltman

Job Title: Registered Manager

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself, my name is Alison, and I am proud to be the manager of Burnworthy House.


My passion for care services started from an early age, as I was introduced to this career path by my late mother who worked in a residential care home all her working life and installed the benchmark I aim to work to – “would I accept this for my family?”.


I started my own career path in care in 1996 as a domiciliary care worker, and for the last 26 years I have worked various roles covering the many different aspect of care. These have included being a care coordinator, trainer, risk assessor, quality supervisor, deputy, and interim manager.


I hold an NVQ level 3 in health and social care, NVQ Level 5 in leadership for health and social care and several other qualifications including a trainer the trainer in moving and handling.


When not working I enjoy reading, going to aqua aerobics, spending time with my family including my dog (Max) and eating cake.


I look forward to meeting you and working together to make new moments and memories with you and your loved ones.
