Certain services are separately charged for and we ask residents to maintain a 'petty cash' balance in order to pay for them. These include, for example, hairdressing, chiropody, newspaper, taxi services, specific toiletries and specialty food/snacks/sweets.
The Elms welcome guests at any time and staff would be delighted to give visitors a tour of the home and introduce them to residents. Please get in touch with the Registered Manager.

I've been in the care industry for 24 years starting off as a care assistant, learning from the bottom, and working my way up to become a registered manager. We are a great team here at The Elms and we ensure everyone gets a good quality of care and enjoys themselves - I can usually tell from the laughter I hear from both staff and residents in the corridors. Unlike other homes, The Elms is really a home from home for the residents with a friendly, relaxed atmosphere - this is how we like it to be.

Hi, my name is Anita and I have worked in the care sector for approximately 14 years, the last 5 of which have been here at The Elms. I am level 3 qualified and I am currently working towards my level 4 qualification. I am one of the Care Managers and I enjoy every minute of my job and still do! We are situated in a rural location with beautiful views that our residents all enjoy. We have a lovely working relationship with our residents and enjoy reminiscing about their past experiences and having a laugh.
