Luckily mum was happy to move into care but the family felt even more reassured by Frith House. The attentive staff and her room which opened up onto a small garden. Mum started to make friends and ate better than she had done for a long time. We were pleasantly surprised that she joined in with the
many activities arranged and was very good at quizzes. Mum moved in during Covid but Frith House was a safe haven where hygiene and safety for the resident were paramount. Would recommend Frith House for loved ones.

Frith House provides a top quality service for its residents. Mum went to Frith House in early 2021 under difficult circumstances, with the pandemic and mum had recently been diagnosed with complex dementia. The move was quite traumatic for mum, being they used to be a very independent person and had
to give up her cat whom she adored and missed terribly even though she knew he was safe with me. On arrival at Frith House, mum refused to engage with anyone or anything but with the dedication and gentle persuasion from the care staff mum went from someone who wouldn’t mix to enjoying quizzes, sitting out in a prime position to see what was going on and chatting to people and making some good friends. Her quality of life improved vastly and this is down to the hard work and attention to detail from the staff. As a relative, I found the staff to be kind, and respectful and would listen to enable them to understand mum better. I couldn’t ask for a better service and mum did truly feel at home.

My mum was in Frith house, only for about 18 months, but in that time the girls that cared for her on a daily basis showed her the most amazing friendship and kindness.
I live in Australia, so it was crucial to me that in particular staff but also others showed mum the compassion and patience she deserved,
but also allowed her to share their workplace as she found their company more stimulating and fun.
She never stopped telling me about these amazing girls and she knew they had her back when I couldn’t be there, especially over the difficult past 2 years. They have become our friends.

Frith House looked after my father to provide respite care for my mother. The home was clean and bright and the staff all very welcoming. They took great care of my father and I am certain he will return in the future. We were encouraged to visit as often as we liked.

It was a difficult decision to move dad into Frith House as it was the start of the pandemic and we knew we wouldn't be able to see him for a while; of course it ended up being a lot longer than we thought. But it was what he wanted to do and he was right. The care, company and support we have received
over the last year has been invaluable. All the staff have shown compassion and done their best to maintain family contacts during really difficult conditions. We are now looking forward to Frith House being able to remove restrictions so family visits and activities can resume as normal.

Mum has Dementia (Alzheimer’s) and moved to Frith House in August 2019 following 3 months in another home where she did not settle and where we felt they were unable to meet her needs. We made contact with Frith House and right from our first telephone contact we were met with friendly and very knowledgeable
advice. We visited and met staff who were able to answer all our questions and we felt reassured that Mum would receive the very best care that she needed. Mum settled well; her en-suite room is pleasant and she has her own chair and pictures and personal effects from home. Frith is welcoming and has a ‘homely' feel. It is clean, nicely decorated and always smells fresh. The decor has a ‘seaside’ theme to reflect its position just off the esplanade in Burnham. There are several well-maintained gardens where residents can enjoy a stroll or relax in a chair. Before the Covid-19 pandemic, we were able to take Mum out for regular walks along the seafront or into the town.

Very friendly staff, great location, always referred to the staff as my girls.
As his care needs got more there was always the professional care given to him.

Uncle is very happy at Frith House, he has been there for 4 years now. He says that the food is always very good the staff are all first class. When we visit the staff are always very friendly and courteous. During the lockdown, it was never too much trouble if we rang Frith House and asked for a Facetime
call they would always come back to promptly with a time or take the tablet to Uncle straight away.

The staff at Frith House truly are outstanding. They are polite, attentive and committed to the care, needs and wishes of the residents. My Mother has been a happy resident in the home for two years and she absolutely loves it there. Even in the most challenging of times, staff have been on hand for
any queries and to support relatives. I have been able to safely keep in contact with my Mother throughout COVID and more recently, see her in the home with COVID precautions in place. The home is very inviting for residents and feels like a 'home' should. It is tucked away from the seafront, but close enough that residents can go out for walks etc with the staff. There is even a resident cat!

I can not recommend the staff and the home highly enough. My father is a resident there and he is really well looked after, the staff are all very friendly and go beyond what they are paid for looking after him and the communication they have with myself. Due to my Dad's Dementia and a spell in hospital I had to make the decision to find him a care home. Although it meant a two-hour round trip to visit him I chose Frith House after reading the CQC report and looking at online reviews. The manager answered all my questions and was sympathetic to my concerns.
Sadly I was unable to visit prior to the move but the manager sent me photos of the vacant room and the communal areas. Due to lockdown I had to drop him off at the door which was difficult for me but the staff were very welcoming and Dad went in happily. Dad has now been there 4 months and the staff have been very good at putting up with my calls; giving me peace of mind when I have been worried about anything. I am really happy that I chose Frith House as I can see that Dad is happy and well cared for; added to that it is so convenient for the beach and the town which I can't wait to share with Dad.

My father has been in Frith House Care Home for the past year. I have nothing but praise for the care, attention, accommodation and general well-being, given to him by all the staff, including the management. They are also very supportive of myself and other family members, who have found placing our
dad into a care home extremely upsetting, but necessary, as he has late-stage dementia.
My daughter, who is herself a nurse, tells me she has rarely seen a care home that offers so much and has such a calm and open atmosphere.
Any issue which Dad has developed has been quickly noted, family kept informed and action taken.

We had to move my mum from a NH in Weston-super-Mare where she was rapidly going downhill. She was depressed and lost the will to live. She stayed in her room on her own all day, was not motivated by staff. Since moving into Frith House, within days we saw a vast improvement, no longer left in her room,
she was encouraged to join in activities, help with little jobs, which she likes to do, we can't thank the staff enough for giving her a new lease of life.

Frith House is a wonderful care home. A real home from home. The staff are really helpful and will do anything to help me feel comfortable.
I can come and go as I like, into town, etc.
My key worker is very good and we have a similar interest in reading and swap books with each other.

This home is one of the best homes I've come across! The care provided is five star and nothing is too much trouble.
There are always activities on for residents and residents are always encouraged to participate in social activities.
The home itself is amazing! The cleanliness is always outstanding.

This was the second care home we tried mum in. The first had 5* rating but the continuity of care was not there and mum was very unsettled and would not leave her room. From the moment we visited Fristh House to view as a possible home for mum we were made to feel part of the family. The whole team
are amazing and mum has settled in well and has made friends. She attends the dining room for meals and is helped to join in activities. As a family, we cannot rate Frith House high enough. Nothing is a problem and we feel loved and cared for. The management are superband lead a fantastic team of carers.

I cannot rate these people highly enough, from key workers though to management.


Nothing was ever too much trouble and everyone always made time to talk if needed or even just to listen as there have been dark days and extremely difficult at times but these people always made life a bit easier in

a really tough situation to deal with.


That's why I would recommend this home to anyone who is thinking or needing to put a loved or in my case loved ones into a home and to have a piece of mind that reassurance is there with all aspects of it.

I sometimes need to spend time in care, to give my carer some time to themselves. I never really want to go as I prefer to stay at home, but I can say that I found being at Frith House really comfortable.
They made me feel very welcome from the moment I met with the manager and the team, and throughout
they were so friendly. My room was really comfortable, and I felt at home with my things around me. There is lots to do each day, and time to just sit and watch TV when I felt like doing that. I made some good friends during my stay and we enjoyed meal times together, and I actually started to eat more than I usually do at home!
I had visitors from time to time, and they were made to feel welcome as much as I was - nothing was too much trouble. They were offered cups of tea on arrival, and we spent time in the quiet lounge being able to talk. I can't thank the wonderful staff enough.
Thank you for my lovely stay! I will be back.
