My father is extremely happy residing at Sydenham House. Myself and my family are impressed at the genuine care and attention that my dad receives from the staff and carers. It is clear to see that his health, hygiene, safety and well being is a priority as it is with all residents! I feel relaxed and
happy that he's being professionally cared for 24/7.

The care given to my mother-in-law b the staff is exemplary, they all are attentive and caring. The premises are clean, warm and welcoming. The management are extremely good, they keep us informed of any situation that concerns Mum. We would recommend this establishment as the best in the area. If any
more money were to be available then this place deserves it. As a family it takes away stress from the family as we know Mum is in safe hands.

Both of my parents were at Sydenham House, not by choice but because they were no longer able to be at home.
Mum arrived first and soon settled in even though she had Dementia.
Her quality of life greatly improved due to the care she was given, nothing was too much trouble and nothing was out of bounds,
she was often having tea with the night staff as she was sometimes nocturnal.
Dad followed and his mobility was very limited which meant staff attending to all his personal needs, which were carried out with care and dignity.
He really enjoyed the food and the attention.
Unfortunately, their time at Sydenham House was quite short but I know that they were safe, well fed and looked after.

My uncle is well cared for. He is in a safe and friendly environment. The staff take time to "chat" to him which is greatly appreciated. His room with ensuite shower room, is always clean and warm.

When viewing the home with my brother when mum had to go into care first, we noticed how bright and clean the home was and how fresh it smelt. All the chairs were comfy and the residents weren't all sat around in a circle, instead chairs were placed in several seating areas around the home both up and
downstairs. Mum has been there for 7 and a half years now. The home has been refurbished and redecorated to a high standard. The butterflies on the walls are a lovely touch. Staff are always friendly, always very approachable and treat residents with dignity. Activities for residents are varied, entertainment well provided, there's always something going on. The mats as you go in the door reads "staff work in the residents home, not residents live in staff workplace". A lovely sentiment and testimony to all, led by a good manager that is passionate and caring. Well done everyone!!

Job Title: Registered Manager

I would like to introduce myself as the Manager at Sydenham house. I have worked in the Health Care sector for the past 25 years and throughout this time I have gained significant knowledge and skills in leadership, recognising that the residents are always at the heart of everything I do.


My role as the Manager is to support the residents and lead the team to provide the very best care. I am passionate about making a positive difference to those we care for whilst ensuring our residents live fully enriched lives.
