Vaughan Lee House is a purpose-built residential care home catering for older people.

Staff at Vaughan Lee House seek to provide and maintain a high standard of care, 24 hours a day.

The staff are trained to meet the individual needs of day-to-day living, to be supportive without being intrusive and to ensure that the dignity of the individual is preserved.

Vaughan Lee House has single, en-suite rooms which are complete with a fitted call system together with provision for a personal television. Where appropriate, residents may bring furniture and also have an individual telephone installed.

Residents can also enjoy relaxing in one of three lounges. During the summer months, residents can enjoy a pleasant south-facing patio and attractive flower garden.

My mother has been resident in Vaughan Lee House for about three years and during that time has been cared for in an outstanding way. Carers are kind and attentive with enough time to attend to my mothers needs. The food at Vaughan Lee House is excellent in my mothers words "it's the sort of food you
would cook for yourself". The home has a general feeling of warmth and comfort.

We feel very fortunate to have mum cared for in Vaughan Lee House. The staff are well-trained and efficient, but just as importantly, kind, caring, happy and respectful. There is always an atmosphere of friendliness and well-being in the home. Nothing ever seems to be too much trouble for the staff
and volunteers who do so much to make it a wonderful place to be. There is just the right degree of encouragement to get the residents to join in without forcing them if they are not feeling up to it. There is a good range of activities available, a lovely enclosed garden and the meals are healthy and appetising.
We cannot praise highly enough everyone who contributes to make Vaughan Lee a place where we know mum is happy, secure and loved. While there are care homes around which are grander and more beautifully furnished, it seems far more important to have a homely, friendly and secure atmosphere - and this is certainly how Vaughan Lee feels.
