    These services are: Personal care, accommodation,

    Services NOT included in price are: dentistry, chiropody,
    physiotherapy, occupational therapy, opticians, hairdressing,
    medications, toiletries, clothing, newspapers/magazines.
    During your stay, you may need to purchase additional goods
    and services. If they are able to provide such goods and
    services, they will tell you how much these goods and services
    will cost and they expect that you will pay for these goods and
    services at the time you request them.
    They can accompany loved ones to private appointments,
    however the fee attached to this is £21 per hour. Where private taxi
    services are used for transportation to appointments the cost should
    be paid for by yourself.

Both parents now in Seymour House and I am very happy to feel they are very well looked after. Bright and airy building, the staff are marvellously un-patronising and cheerful. Well organised and activities are provided which are well attended. I have been happily impressed.

When my mum moved into Seymour House, she had an extremely warm welcome. Her room was ready for her, she was introduced to the staff and shown around. Everywhere in the home is spotless and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. They are all very understanding and caring and very approachable to
mum's anxieties and stresses which is helping to settle her in well. An excellent home - well done. I can relax now knowing my mum is being well cared for.

A big thank you to the manager of Seymour House, the head of care and all the caring staff who have helped with a difficult situation. My mother has been welcomed into a new family where she has been looked after ad made to feel safe, secure and happy. My respect and trust towards this team is of the
highest level. There is a hands-on approach here and mums needs always come first, she is at home here making new friends, a kind and considerate environment. The manager's door is always open to talk through any questions. A big thanks again to the team.

This is to say how much we appreciated the special care given to my mother on the occasion of his birthday in the summer of 2016 and again at Christmas. We very much wanted to celebrate these special days as a family but Mum didn't feel well enough to leave the home. We were therefore delighted that
the Manager and staff allowed us private rooms on each occasion. Christmas was especially appreciated as my husband and I was able to enjoy a delicious Christmas meal with Mum in a cheerfully decorated room. It was all very relaxed and gave us a happy Christmas together. Our thanks to all.

My mother has settled into her new home. I can't say how she feels, but when I visit and see that she has joy in her face, it makes me feel good. Not that I visit her makes her happy also.

This home is a very good facility. The home is clean, bright and a very happy place for everyone here. The staff are extremely caring and kind to all the residents (nothing is too much trouble) and everyone is treated with dignity.
The food is good and also there are plenty of activities throughout
the week to stimulate the people. This is a home I would recommend to anybody who is looking for somewhere either for themselves or family.
The costs also are very reasonable.

My friend has been a resident at Seymour House for 10 months now and needed to be admitted to hospital for treatment recently. I went to the admissions staff expecting to be asked for lots of information. I was delighted to be told by the sister and doctor that they were very impressed by the excellent
information they had received from Seymour House staff.
I too was impressed and relieved as I was able to give my time to my confused friend rather than filling in forms.

As soon as I come in, I can see the staff working. They are very welcoming and friendly. Although my gran has only been here a short time, she has already made friends and the staff like her too! She is eating in the dining room for meals twice a day, whereas before in the other home she wouldn't come
out of her room. I am happy that she is happy! The managers and staff really do go out of their way to make the home like 'home'. Good activities, good food, good location = happy Gran. Thank you.

I think the carers are very sensible and loving, it's a nice way to be. A real sense of sensibility is important. Dislikes that there are no en-suite facilities so didn't like that I have to share a toilet.

Victoria

Victoria Wallis

Job Title: Home Manager

Joined: 2020

Victoria joined the Trust in March 2020, having worked in healthcare for over 25 years, and she has built lots of knowledge and experience in that time. Her passion has always been caring for the elderly.


Before becoming the Home Manager at Seymour House, Victoria was the Deputy Manager at Bourne House in Salisbury, and the Head of Care at The Cedars in Purton. Victoria has recently completed a Level 5 management qualification for health and social care. She likes working with the team, and the wider Trust community and feels supported by the company to do her role to the best of her ability.


Out of work, Victoria loves to travel. She is currently working on a project with her husband to convert a van into a campervan to make seeing more of the country easier. She is mum to two children.


Luan

Luan Mitchell

Job Title: Care Leader

Joined: 2013

Luan Mitchell has worked in the care sector for 8 years since April 2013, starting her career as a Housekeeper, then becoming a Carer.


From this position, Luan developed a real passion for elderly care and making a difference to those she cared for. Luan then progressed to become a Care Leader at Athelstan House. Gaining specific qualifications and training in residential and dementia care, she had a desire to progress further within the Trust.


Luan has now started in a new role as the Head of Care at Seymour House. Luan loves her new role and works with a very passionate and committed team. Luan is dedicated to ensuring the residents we care for receive the highest standard of care. In her role, Luan supports and supervises the care team to promote a person-centred approach and ensure residents wishes are respected. When not working, Luan enjoys spending time with her family and friends as well as going on walks.


Hayley

Hayley Reeves

Job Title: Activities Co-Ordinator

Joined: 2013

Hayley joined the Trust in 2001 after previously working at Seymour House for Wilts Council. Hayley worked as a night carer for many years whilst her children were young and then switched to become an Activities Co-Ordinator around six years ago.


Hayley loves her job and also enjoys helping out with care shifts when she is needed.


Lauren

Lauren McGovern

Job Title: Administration Assistant

Joined: 2019

Lauren started with the Trust in April 2018, previously working at Hungerford House as the Activities Co-ordinator.
She worked in the care industry for over 8 years, starting in Chippenham Community Hospital as a Ward Clerk for 3 years, then started at a care home as an Administrator for 5 years.
She really enjoys working in the care sector as each day is different and she likes meeting lots of people with different personalities.
Lauren is a very outgoing, bubbly, laughable person who will do the upmost to help anyone!
