    They can accompany loved ones to private appointments,
    however the fee attached to this is £21 per hour. Where private taxi
    services are used for transportation to appointments the cost should
    be paid for by yourself.

Staff are friendly, helpful, and have done everything they can to make Mum welcome in the home. They treat her well, support the family, and I couldn't ask for more. The whole home is clean and welcoming. Mum is eating better than when she was on her own, and she loves the fact the home has a dog,
cat, tortoise and chickens. The staff have a lot of people to look after, but from what I have seen every resident is treated like they were members of their own family.

Before my mum went to live at Willowcroft her dementia had caused her to be so unhappy living on her own and her physical health was declining even with visits from carers to her home.
She is now healthier than she has been for years, she has made friends and is cared for by lovely people whose sense
of humour and kind hearts continue to amaze me. Their patience and kindness is exemplary.
My mum's brain will unfortunately continue to deteriorate however, I now know she is safe, content, and well cared for.

Absolutely wonderful staff, always helpful and kind, the rooms are very clean and tidy and there is a real home feel to all the building. My grandmother really enjoys the food and activities, making lots of friends and is very well looked after.

I am extremely happy with the service and level of care that the home and staff provide to my mother. The home is always clean and tidy. Staff are very attentive to all client's needs and clearly build beautiful caring relationships with the clients in their care. Staff work hard on a daily basis and
always find the time to have a chat with family when they visit their loved ones.
Staff try to engage all clients in activities and the utmost respect and care is shown to all.
I think the staff are absolutely awesome and I know my mum is happy and well looked after. I cannot recommend Willowcroft in Salisbury enough! Big shout out to all the fantastic staff that work there.
The home also worked to the max during Covid and I cannot thank them enough for the support that they gave my mum, and continue to do so.

My mum has been at Willowcroft for four years and loves it. All the staff are so caring, yet professional. Nothing is too much trouble. Mum says she would never want to move from Willowcroft as she loves the staff and feels well looked after. It gives us as a family peace of mind that Mum is in good
care.

A lovely home with lovely staff, nothing is too much trouble.
The residents clearly are looked after and well loved by the staff team. My grandmother is so happy with the care.

We came to visit my cousin today in Willowcroft. Immediately I could feel the warmth and welcoming, bright, light, clean and friendly. the staff are very helpful, caring and friendly. My cousin's room is clean and warm, homely, everything there she needs. Very pleased. Home from home. Thank you.

The team at Willowcroft were exceptional in the care of my mother. Mum entered Willowcroft in September 2021 with advanced dementia. The approach of all witnessed staff members was that they displayed respect and care towards all residents. The care towards my mother and her family was amazing. I cannot
thank them enough and would certainly recommend Willowcroft to others.

The care here has been excellent. Looked after my carers who are an absolute credit to their profession and who carry out their care with tender kindness. My friend lives in the home and has done since August 2021, she is very well cared for and really loves it. The staff are always friendly, knowledgeable and kind. I can’t thank the staff enough for the love and care they show my friend and all the other residents in the home.

My father moved to Willowcroft in 2017 and has been looked after with a very high standard of care. He bonded with the staff extremely quickly and has a close relationship with them. My mother became ill in November and was not able to return home and within a week of searching for a home, we got her
into Willowcroft, with the help of the management team. This reunited them after four years apart, which was all they ever wanted. I will be forever grateful to the team at Willowcroft for helping my parents to live the latter part of their lives together. This has been a very hard year for everybody - family and staff - and the staff worked very hard and to a very high standard under much pressure. They organised window visits, garden visits and the use of iPads. The manager and her team have proved themselves to be an excellent team and I would recommend this home to anybody, who is thinking of placing a loved one in a care home.

Mum was very poorly over Easter and unfortunately, it was expected that she would not get over this. All the staff were absolutely brilliant, keeping me well informed at all times. The tenderness and care from them towards Mum was more than just caring. When I was not there, I just knew she was in good
hands. With their outstanding attention and care, Mum is still with us - quite amazing.

My mother has been at Willowcroft for nearly two years. We have always found the staff to be loving, caring and supportive. We are happy that this has become my mother's home, where she feels safe and secure. All care homes have faced the difficult challenge of covid in the last year and we feel that
Willowcroft have met this challenge professionally, whilst maintaining their high standards. Although our visits have been limited this year, it has been lovely to see the various displays celebrating events such as Christmas, Valentines Day and Easter.

As a Daughter of a much loved Mum, I was incredibly nervous about what to expect when my 90-year-old Mum had no option than to move to residential care after an illness. From day one, we were greeted with care and compassion, even throughout covid. I have seen my Mum change hugely since moving to Willowcroft,
gained weight, enjoying food and the things she had stopped enjoying previously. She adores the staff who are amazing. From looking after Mum's needs to keeping our family updated on anything, even small things, that are happening in Mum's life, plus they always answer the telephone and will chat through any concerns or questions and really are a lovely, friendly team. Mum's room is comfortable and clean with a nice garden view and she genuinely seems really happy. I would recommend Willowcroft to anybody looking for a caring, clean, homely environment with a team who obviously take pride in what they do and put residents' needs first.

My friend lives at Willowcroft and they always talk about how lovely the staff are and the home. I, unfortunately, have been unable to visit inside the home due to the pandemic but the manager arranged a virtual tour using her phone so I was able to look around the home and see what my friend's room
was like. I have been able to have visits and face time with my friend and the staff have always been ever so helpful to arrange this. I feel that, despite the trying times we are all dealing with, everyone I have come across remains upbeat and positive at all times. My friend is very happy at Willowcroft and has been in several care homes, this is the happiest she has ever been.

My experience has been that when my sister moved in she was very disturbed, but the staff dealt with it very professionally. Since her medication has been adjusted she has made friends is joining in and is a lot happier. When I was able to visit Willowcroft I was always pleased with the facilities,
the staff were always helpful and the menu looked tasty.

The staff are very friendly and caring to the residents. In-fact I have never heard a harsh word spoken to anyone in the home while I’ve been there. The staff are very helpful and particularly at this time of lockdown they are most helpful in arranging video calls to my mother. They never seem to get
flustered and go about caring for the residents and the most lovely way.

Last week Willowcroft went into shutdown - NOT I hasten to add because of any problems within the home itself - but because they are trying to stop visitors bringing any current virus symptoms into the residents.
The manager there hit on a wonderfully generous idea. She took in her own personal
iPad, contacted relatives with access to the internet, and then arranged times that were mutually convenient and set up accounts for residents on her iPad. As a result, I was able to speak face-to-face with my husband who, from choice, refuses most social contact. The manager set the scheme up, made the connection and then left us to talk. When we finished, she came back to my husband's room and disconnected the link. How wonderful was that? How over and above the call of duty!
As it was Mother's Day yesterday, I imagine the manager was also able to connect many daughters and sons with their resident mothers who might otherwise have missed out.
I strongly recommend this practice to other nursing homes.

Carol

Carol Wootton

Job Title: Home Manager

Joined: 2009

Carol joined the Trust in 2009 and has worked in the care sector for 17 years. Carol started working as a carer at the age of 17 after completing her work experience at the age of 14 in a care home. She enjoyed spending time with the elderly so much and really felt that she could help by making a difference in people’s lives.


Carol has a Level 3 in Effective Management, Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care; Adults Residential Management and in her spare time she likes reading, going to the gym and walking.


An interesting fact about Carol is that in 2017 she took part in a sensory challenge where she was blindfolded for 7 hours! Carol arranged this with support from the Wiltshire Blind Society and had the opportunity to talk on Wiltshire Sound radio. As part of this, she raised money for the resident's amenities fund and for Wiltshire Sound.


Sam

Sam Emm

Job Title: Deputy Home Manager

Joined: 2012

Sam is the Deputy Manager at Willowcroft and has worked for the Trust in various roles since 2012. Sam is an experienced Deputy Manager who has worked hard to support the team in moving over to an electronic care plan system. Sam is very passionate about the care of the residents and likes to make sure that all the residents are treated in a person-centred manner.


In Sam’s spare time, he likes to spend time with his family and enjoys socialising, exploring and playing games on his PlayStation 5.


Dea

Dea Burtt

Job Title: Care Leader

Joined: 2014

Dea first joined the Trust in July 2014 after working in domiciliary care for many years. Dea joined the care sector when she left school as she wanted to help people and has done this her whole working life. Dea is the medication lead at Willowcroft and works hard to ensure the residents get the best possible care.


In Dea’s spare she times she enjoys walking her dog and socialising with friends.


Beata

Beata Kohalmi

Job Title: Activity Co-Ordinator

Joined: 2015

Beata joined the Trust in 2015 and has worked in the care sector for 4 years. Beta started at Willowcroft as a housekeeper and then transferred to activities. Beata decided to join the care sector as she enjoyed spending time at the care home as a visitor prior to joining as an employee. When Beata has time off she works hard to raise funds for the care home and makes up activities at home for the residents to use.
In Beata’s spare time she takes care of her two daughters and takes them to many activities including Brownies, Gymnastics, Swimming and Cheerleading.


Andy

Andy

Job Title: Handyman

Joined: 2019

Andy joined the trust in February 2019. Prior to this Andy was a driver for u-drive and had many years’ experience working as a handy person in a hotel in Bournemouth. Andy decided to join the care sector as he had been looking for a job he could do for the rest of his career, he wanted to be helpful and work with his hands. Since joining the Trust Andy supports one of the residents with handy person duties around the home.


Andy, in his spare time, enjoys reading and watching documentaries on space and science.


Marie

Marie

Job Title: Care Leader

Joined: 2013

Marie has worked at Willowcroft for 7 years, she started as a carer and then progressed to her current role as care leader. Marie prior to this was a trainee hairdresser and decided to change careers as she wanted to make a difference. Marie is the homes nutrition and infection control lead and takes these roles very seriously. In Marie’s spare time she looks after her children and binge watches box sets with her husband.

Di Vuki

Job Title: Chef

Joined: 2020

Di has worked at Willowcroft since 2020, starting as a carer, but moving to the chef role at the beginning of 2023. Di has a skilled background as a chef, with over 22 years’ experience, which includes working for the Fijian Parliament and the British Armed Forces.
In her spare time Di is completing a master’s degree in criminology.
