Wren House is a small care home with excellent staff who provide a high standard of care for the residents. The food is tasty and the "home-cooked" approach is a big hit with my mum who has always been very keen on good quality tasty food that looks appetising. The chefs even remember her particular
favourites! Restricted visiting during lockdown was a big challenge and I don't know how Mum and I would have coped without the contact provided via our video link using the home's Wi-fi system. Entertainment is still a challenge but is now building up again to its pre-Covid level. The way the staff dealt with the effect the Queen's death had on each of the residents is probably also a good example of the thoughtful and individual approach that sets Wren House apart and it's comforting to know Mum is being well looked after by such caring people.

Wren House is one of a kind, really more like a family home than a care home. The staff, many of who have been there for many years, are excellent. The food is outstanding. Obviously, Covid took its toll on the activities, but they now have an entertainment programme in place and encourage the residents
to join in.

The care I receive is first-class. I am treated with care and compassion at all times. The food is excellent, and the staff, many of who have been here a long time, are lovely.

My neighbour's elderly aunt has recently moved into Wren House where I occasionally visit her. She reluctantly had to accept that she needed day-to-day assistance having resisted it for many years. The change in her is remarkable, she is beautifully cared for and is surrounded by all her favourite things
and retains as much independence as is possible. As a visitor, great care is taken to ensure that safe entry routines are strictly followed by kind and friendly staff. Tea and cake are brought very soon after. This is where I want to be when the time comes!

The care given at Wren House is superb! Every member of staff behaves in a professional, efficient and caring manner. Residents and relatives are treated with respect and dignity but above all with great kindness. The past year has been difficult for everyone but Wren House has done their very best
to ensure relatives have been able to keep in touch with their loved ones. they have enabled visits wherever possible and kept up to date with the ever-changing Covid-19 guidelines.

Superb small and friendly care home offering home from home environment. Excellent staff and management on-site and an atmosphere which must be the envy of many other care homes.

We could not recommend Wren House more highly. To me, it feels more like a boutique hotel where care is provided. Having so few residents it is not at all institutional, the care is of the highest standard. All the staff are so patient, loving, caring and nothing is too much trouble 24 hours a day.
The home-made food cooked on the premises is excellent which is eaten in the lovely dining room or in the resident's room. Guests can join them and are always made to feel welcome. Activities are organised on a regular basis at Wren House as well as outings. There is a very happy and relaxed atmosphere thanks to a sensitive group of staff, with a feeling of security whilst maintaining the resident's independence.

Wren House is the perfect place for my 94-year-old mother. She is safe, which is my primary concern. She is beautifully cared for, extremely comfortable, well-fed and very happy. The staff are, without exception, both professional and caring to a degree, that our family as a whole have no worries at

This feels more like a hotel or bed and breakfast rather than a care home. My grandma loves it and I love visiting her there.

I visited Wren House on April 12th, 2018. I was very impressed with the welcoming atmosphere. My friend's room was attractive and catered well for all her needs. The communal lounge was most comfortable and well-appointed and I gathered was used for many excellent activities and entertainment.


I

had 2 meals there and supper conveniently served in my friend's room and lunch in the pleasant dining room. Both were excellent and efficiently served.


The staff were most helpful and obviously dedicated to ensuring the well-being of the residents.


It was, in fact, one of the best care homes I have ever visited.

I leave Wren House tomorrow after 10 days convalescent respite care, following major knee surgery. I cannot recommend it too highly as the whole experience has been very pleasant and restorative.


My garden room was ensuite and both spacious and well furnished, leading to a pretty garden in which

to exercise.
The manager has been here for many years, as have most of her excellent staff who were attentive and helpful, day and night. Food was good with plenty of fresh veg, fruit and alternative choices, well cooked and nicely served. Nothing was too much trouble and I can thoroughly endorse their excellent local reputation.

Wren House is an excellent clean and well-managed care home. The staff are always smart in appearance, courteous and they have total engagement with the residents whom they treat with the utmost respect. My mother has remarked on numerous occasions how the staff are only too willing to "have a chat
and bit of a laugh" with her. The activities provided by Wren House are many and varied and the residents are strongly encouraged to take part in them.

Wren House gives excellent care for my mother. The staff are always cheerful and willing, even though my mother can be very difficult sometimes. Excellent food and good selection of activities. I accompanied my mother to a quiz night last week, it was very well done and an enjoyable evening.

I am a mother of two and have a granddaughter, stepmother of two and four step-grandchildren. My family life is very busy but I have great support from my husband. My interests are rugby as my son plays the sport and course fishing to relax. I have been in the care sector for 15 years ranging from the acute setting of a hospital after being at university to gain my diploma in adult nursing to a senior carer at Wren House. I have been promoted at Wren House to the home manager which is a position that I enjoy as I am a very driven person and confident in all aspects of running the Home and my lovely residents.
