My father was hospitalised twice last year - the care and concern of all the staff during these times was exemplary. The consideration afforded when he returned home was as good as if he were in his own home. All the staff are caring, gentle, considerate and entertaining and always welcome us as friends
when we visit - which I do regularly. They help and advise us all the time and I couldn't wish for my 97-year-old father to be in a more wonderful place.

The atmosphere at Wrens House is quite exceptional full of warmth, love and never ending kindness even under the most demanding of circumstances. The ability of the staff to smile through the days when they must at times be extremely tired by the physical and emotional demands of the work is greatly
to be admired and I do! So a huge thank you to one and all for the great blessing of knowing my mother is in such good hands.

My mother has lived at Wren House for three years.
She is 92 years old and very disabled with arthritis.
She is not an easy person to care for in some ways with unexpected outbursts.
I have been very impressed by how the staff cope with her, very ably led by the manager.
They have sensitively tailored
her care to fit around her, altering to fit with what she's needing - in terms of food, mealtimes, cleaning her room, timing care etc, I have every confidence that at all times she is respected and her needs are put first.
I have such feelings of gratitude for the staff who all go the extra mile.

Wren House is a wonderful place for my grandad to live. They provide all the care he could ask for and all of the staff are really amazing. The building is very clean (always) and the staff are always so friendly and helpful. I cannot speak highly enough of Wren House.

My grandad has been extremely happy at Wren House since moving in. I find the place very clean and tidy. The staff are all really lovely and welcoming. I find the additional things they arrange for the residents such as the garden party in the summer and the pantomime at Christmas are really thoughtful
and fantastic!

Wren House is remarkable in its homely feel and amazing staff. They are so caring- nothing is ever too much trouble and the dignified manner in which all residents are dealt with is wonderful. The little touches like home baked cakes and bone china go a long way in adding to this homely feel. This atmosphere
coupled with the best in terms of cleanliness and quality of care mean I could not wish for my granny to be anywhere better.

My aunt spent the last six years of her life at Wren House. She suffered from anxiety, and was not an easy person to care for. The staff were always friendly, kind and gentle, took time to reassure here, and to keep the routine she had became used to. She was a fussy eater - if she did not like the
choices on the excellent and varied menu. There was always one of her favourite dishes available for her. She did not wish to mix with the other residents, so chose to eat in her room. Food was always served attractively e.g cups and saucers rather than mugs, and a different pattern in the afternoon from the mornings. The intercom system meant that as soon as she rang her bell, someone was able to speak to her, so no long waits for a response. I do not know anywhere else that could have provided such excellent care. I personally, found all the staff friendly and approachable. The senior member on duty was always ready to discuss any concerns I had at any time.

My mother spent the last 2 and a half years of her life in Wren House. Huge efforts were made to take her in from hospital just after Christmas 2011. From then on she had perfect care - a bath every day, home-cooked good and imaginative meals, a warm and comfortable room, help with the TV channels and
even her toe nails painted on request in summer!
She was quite a demanding old lady who was cared for with great patience and fun. When she passed away, aged 97, peacefully in July 2014, we felt overcome with gratitude for the time she was in Wren House.

My aunt has been very well cared for at Wren House. The only negative is that the location and layout of the house and garden are not conducive to easy access for wheel chairs or walking frames, so my aunt has spent too much of her time in her room without being able to be pushed into town, to church
or generally into the fresh air. However, as she ages this becomes less of an issue.

My mother spent the last fourteen months of her life at Wren House. We considered Wren House for my mother because her mother and great aunt had been there in the 90's when it was privately owned. It is now run by Montreux Living. The care my mother received was nothing short of excellent. She was
completely incontinent and yet she retained her dignity. This was due to the amazing staff and their care. I hope that if I were ever to need to go to a care home that I could go somewhere as amazing as Wren House. I know my late mother would agree.

My granny has lived at Wren House for almost two years. I visit her several times a week and I am always pleased with how I find her. The staff could not be more welcoming or friendly. They make sure that she is included in many activities so I know that she is not just left alone. I have two young
children who have always been completely welcome to visit. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. I could not recommend Wren House highly enough.

Wren House is a small and lovely building with good facilities and a nice garden. The rooms are comfortable and well insulated. It is a quiet home with kind and professional staff who treat their residents with dignity. The food is lovely and there is a cheerful, relaxed atmosphere.

My mother has been a resident for just over two years and it has proved to be a very happy time for her. I cannot praise the staff more highly for the dignified and sensitive care they provide. The manager has been extremely understanding and supportive of my families needs as 'carers' in the wider
sense and she, with her staff always make themselves available to discuss any changes in my mother's welfare, health and happiness. My only slight reservations concerning facilities is the difficulty of wheelchair access ( should a resident temporarily require one) from the extension ground floor to the public rooms. Car parking is also restricted

Wren House is a charming, well appointed house where my mother spent the last year of her life. She was very well cared for and nothing was too much trouble for the wonderful team that took care of her every need. My mother never stopped saying how kind everyone was to her. The meals were all cooked
on the premises and were delicious with wonderful cakes for afternoon tea. A real home from home.

I have found all the staff to be kind, patient and thoughtful. They are always willing to discuss my mother's health and concerns. The house and garden are clean and pleasant, the food is good. Overall I would say that Wren House provide an excellent service and the staff do their very best to keep

I am a mother of two and have a granddaughter, stepmother of two and four step-grandchildren. My family life is very busy but I have great support from my husband. My interests are rugby as my son plays the sport and course fishing to relax. I have been in the care sector for 15 years ranging from the acute setting of a hospital after being at university to gain my diploma in adult nursing to a senior carer at Wren House. I have been promoted at Wren House to the home manager which is a position that I enjoy as I am a very driven person and confident in all aspects of running the Home and my lovely residents.
