My mother has been a resident since 2018. She has always received first-class care from the staff. I have nothing but praise for the care she receives. Prior to Mum coming to Abbey Court Care I visited sixteen care homes and found Abbey Court to be the best for Mum.

My aunty moved into Abbey Court a while ago, she has really settled well, her room is really homely and I have a good relationship with her key worker, who goes over and above to help out as I live quite far from the home and don't get to visit that much. All of the staff are lovely and the management
team are easy to talk to and help me speak with my aunty over the phone. Abbey Court is a really lovely care home.

During my grandmother being in the home she has beneficially progressed with mobility and speech. Being able to visit her in a home as a family and my grandmother brings us so much joy. The staff are always on hand to help us and know her so well. We're always made to feel at home when we come and visit
her. The staff have been brilliant with us, helping us to communicate with her. All staff ensure Nan's needs are catered for we're updated in the process. We especially love her bedroom where they've put photos up to make it feel just like home.

From the first day bringing my mom, all the staff were so friendly and made me feel at ease leaving Mom in their capable hands, knowing she will be looked after. Thought the place was lovely and clean, bright with plenty of room to get around. The bedroom was homely and comfortable. Overall, the staff
were so helpful and kind. A truly caring place, bright and cheerful.

My father's stay at Evergreen was wonderful. The carers, the accommodation, the residents were all so good. It is always daunting to leave a relative in this way, but the staff supported me as well as my dad. I would just like to say thank you!

In short, I would not recommend Evergreen.
My mother-in-law can't walk and uses a stand aid to transfer her. Evergreen called me after about 2 hours of mom being there and said mom could not use their stand aid and was taking 3 to assist her (I find this hard to believe as I used mom's with her by
myself the morning I took her to Evergreen). They also said they couldn't keep her. I asked if they could keep mom until I found her a place somewhere else. To this the reply was no and that I need to collect her as soon as possible. The social worker spoke with them and suggested that we take mom's stand aid to which they said no.
The social worker did manage to find mom a placement thankfully.
Mom has carers 4 times a day and these had been cancelled. Evergreen showed no compassion.
Fortunately, mom has family to help resolve issues but not all elderly do.
Please bear this in mind before placing your loved ones into Evergreen. You could get the phone call to say come and collect.

This review is nothing short of malicious and vindictive. Before the resident came in, her daughter told us her mother could weight bare and assist with transfers. When she arrived, it was clear she could not stand using our equipment, taking 3 staff in addition to support her. It was not safe for this lady to stay with us as she needed nursing care which we do not provide. Later that day she was eventually transferred to a local nursing home. The daughter was only at our Home for about 30 minutes, taking her mother to the bedroom and then the office to complete paperwork. Because of the short time she was at the Home and the fact she only saw a bedroom and the office, it is impossible for her to have made a reasoned assessment of any of the 12 topics to be reviewed. There is certainly no marks for carehome.co.uk for using a review system that is fatally flawed and no longer fit for purpose.

Staff went the extra mile in helping my mum settle into her new home. They were gentle and kind during a difficult time. They have continued to be friendly, supportive and caring. The food always looks appetising and smells wonderful. We feel reassured that they have her best interests at heart.

My friend was admitted as an emergency placement to Evergreen. The staff welcomed her with open arms and were very kind and thoughtful of her needs. She had never been in a care home before and was very nervous about moving in. She has settled very well and I can't thank the staff enough for all they
