Incredibly caring staff, lovely setting, extremely professional and very supportive. Very happy with the care my mother is getting here, having been at the care home for the past two years. Care is adapted well as she has deteriorated.

This is an excellent care home owned and managed by two great managers. Both of them and their staff offer first-class care at all times. During the two and a half years my aunt has lived here she has received nothing but the best care and attention. Nothing is too much trouble for anyone. When visiting
we have always been made to feel very welcome, visits often accompanied by tea and cake!
A truly caring home from home.

My mother aged 97, spent the last three months of her life at Field House and I can honestly say it was the happiest I had seen her since the start of Covid. The manager and her wonderful staff went out of their way to make Mum feel at home, taking her downstairs for each meal and to any of the activities
that she chose to participate in. Nothing was too much trouble for them. She made friends there and described the community at Field House as being like a family. My relationship with her became much easier because she had absolutely nothing to complain about! All the food is home made and Mum really enjoyed the meals and the delicious cakes that the chef made each day.
Her visitors were made to feel welcome, there was always a cup of tea or coffee on offer. Although she was only here a short time I miss visiting her in her comfortable, gorgeous room.
I cannot thank the manager or her staff enough for the care, love and friendship that they gave Mum. Thank you.

I can thoroughly recommend Field House Residential Home in Harborne, Birmingham. The staff are extremely friendly and loving, showing great patience at all times! The residents, from all walks of life, are treated with dignity and respect and I felt this was reciprocated back to the staff.
The staff
follow the manager's strong lead in trying to recreate a happy, family atmosphere and that certainly works. I loved the way everyone tries to stay connected to the outside world and many people go in to arrange a wide range of activities! I loved the way national holidays and events of importance are observed.
My aunt was extremely ill this past June and unfortunately, passed away! I was kept informed at all times and her care was exemplary. I cannot thank the manager and her staff enough. They are true "angels on earth".

My mother moved into Field House when she was 101, suffering from dementia. To ease her move we arranged with the manager on a days basis for 2-3 weeks. She then went on a permanent basis and is now approaching 104. Whilst there, my mother has had a number of health issues; inc. cellulitis with daily
district nurses visits, 999 calls to paramedics and most recently COVID 19. At each stage, the manager and her carefully selected team of Field House carers have always been there for my mother, showing her respect, consideration and willing to put themselves out to accommodate my mother’s best interests. My mother was fortunate to find a caring environment where all the staff exercise their patience and goodwill to serve her best interests. I have no hesitation in recommending Field House. During the lockdown, they have all been extremely careful and in accommodating window calls whenever practical. Much appreciation to the manager and her care team. Thank you so much.

The Manager's levels of care, kindness, positivity, attention to detail and general loveliness rub off onto all the well chosen carers and staff. My Mother spent the last three and a half years of her life being fantastically well looked after in every way by every one of them from all areas of the
home.
If anyone is looking into true care for an elderly person then look no further. Thank you so much all of you!

Mum was admitted to Field House for 2-week respite care in November 2017, she loved it immediately and never returned back to her flat, she returned to herself within weeks of being cared for. Mum loved all the team inc cleaners, kitchen staff and gardener. Joining in the many activities, enjoying visits
from local groups and schoolchildren, and sitting in the garden in the sunshine.
All of the residents are treated with love, care and dignity. My sister and I had such peace of mind knowing Mum was being so well looked after and will be forever grateful for this. The manager and her team genuinely care about every resident and treat them as their own family. Sadly, Mum passed away last year and the team cared for her to the very end - arranging for oxygen to be brought in and keeping her comfortable in her room. The family were so moved by the procession of all the staff who came to pay their last respects showing their genuine love for her. The whole family would not hesitate to recommend Field House.

We are so grateful to all the staff who are coming in to care for all the elderly and leaving their own families at this difficult time. We so appreciate the wonderful care that they give to each resident, they are consistently kind and compassionate and we are truly grateful to them all - especially
as we are unable to visit ourselves. Thank you so so much. We can relax at home knowing that our relative is in the best safe hands available. You all are very special.. thank you.

My Mum came to Field House in Nov 2017, for two weeks respite, but loved it so much she didn't want to leave. The wonderfully caring team soon had her gaining health and strength. Mum loved all the team enjoying the banter with them. She joined in the activities, particularly enjoying visits from local
groups and schoolchildren and loved to sit in the garden in the sun. All the residents are treated with love, care and dignity. My sister and I had such peace of mind knowing Mum was being looked after with such love and care and will be forever grateful for this. The manager and her team genuinely care about their residents and treat them as they would their own family. Sadly, Mum passed away last year and the team cared for her to the end - arranging for oxygen to be brought in and keeping her comfortable in her room. We were moved by the procession of staff who came to pay their last respects to Mum and their genuine love for her. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Field House.

My mother has been a resident at Field House for nearly 2 years. I am totally satisfied with her care. I am impressed by the way care staff respond to her needs, the many kindnesses they show her and the patient and respectful way they relate to her and to all residents. There is a strong caring ethos
in Field House which is reflected in the time spent with residents and in the very palpable Christian ethos nurtured by its owner and manager. Communication with families and outside agencies is strong and I and other members of my family are confident and grateful that my mother is well cared for. We no longer worry about her, knowing she is well cared for and very well looked after.

My step-aunt spent a year at The Field House in 2016. When she came from the hospital, she was frail but gained strength as a result of a kind and professional treatment received there. She regained her appetite and enjoying meals again. She told us that she was happy in F H. Her individuality was respected
and indeed welcomed. She seemed content in the elegant surroundings and engaged when visitors gave talks on topics of interest to her such as flower arranging and sewing. She joined in keep-fit.

Regrettably, she passed away early this year. F H accommodated her well in the last few weeks, liaising with the hospital to obtain additional equipment required. The staff were very attentive and made every effort to make her comfortable, attending to her needs on a regular basis, day and night.

F. H. has a strong caring ethos inspired by Christian faith. This is clear in the way that residents and their relatives are treated.

We feel that Field House provided a real home for my step-aunt in her last days.

Current Review Score: 9.5 (9.483)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.5 (9.483) out of 10 for Field House Residential Home Ltd is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 5 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.5 out of 5 from 5 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.983 for Field House Residential Home Ltd is calculated as follows: ( (59 Excellents x 5) + (1 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 60 Ratings = 4.983

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4.5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Field House Residential Home Ltd is based on 5 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.5

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 21 registered maximum number of service users is 4.2, which has been reached with 5 Positive reviews. Points = 1

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
