The team at Lammas House are proud to be a CQC Outstanding rated home in Coventry (January 2019), and when you visit you can see why. Passionate about enriching the lives of their residents, many of the staff have been with the home for over ten years.

Providing residential care, they also offer pre-bookable respite care breaks. These are ideal for carers who would like to take a short break themselves, with the peace of mind of knowing their loved one is being well cared for and enjoying a break of their own.

The team creates so many activities and experiences which bring joy to their residents. From animal therapy and baking to growing their own fruit, vegetables and herbs, which are then used by the chef in the kitchen.

There is also a Lammas House Choir, who fill the home with the sound of music and perform for their loved ones, a book club and knit and natter group.

And talking of food, the chef prepares delicious, home-cooked meals, from roast dinners with all the trimmings, freshly made soups and lighter bites to themed menus for special occasions. He also creates home-made cocktails and there are freshly baked treats each day for afternoon tea.

Lammas House also offers private dining, where residents and their loved ones can enjoy a delicious three-course meal, prepared by the home’s chef, in a quiet lounge with a bottle of wine.

The team are passionate about the residents having a very active role to play in how their home is run. There is a resident ambassador who does everything from chairing residents’ meetings and providing feedback to the team, to welcoming new residents and families.

The local community are embraced into life in the home, with local school children visiting regularly to sing for the residents and take part in activities.

There is also a hair salon for weekly appointments with a mobile hairdresser. A chiropodist also visits for regular appointments.

We were so pleased to find a place for mum at Lammas House. As soon as we walked in, having been to many others homes, it felt right. We were not disappointed and mum was comfortable and cared for in the final months of her life.


We are particularly grateful for the help and support provided

to both mum, and to ourselves, during her final days. We knew she could not have been in a better place.


The Manager and staff did all they could to enable access and care within the covid restrictions, and we are able to be with our Mum and care for her for those last few days and nights.

Lammas House is providing excellent and kind care for my Grandma. Despite all the restrictions imposed by Covid staff have done their best to help her get to know her new Great Granddaughter through laminating and increasing the size of photos, zoom chats and eventually meeting in person. I am very
grateful for the staff's kindness and care.

When my mother arrived at Lammas House in December she was confused and physically unwell. Since then with the help of staff she has made a full recovery. The staff are a cheerful and approachable group who are responsive to resident needs and are quick and efficient in dealing with any family queries.
The home is warm and comfortable and provides a very high standard of food. My mother has been welcomed into the ‘Lammas Family’ and has settled in well. A WhatsApp and Facebook group to keeps relatives up to date with photos of the varying activities and events. I am very happy to have chosen Lammas House and would like to thank the manager and her team.

Having been thrust into the world of elderly care facilities by the unprecedented events of the year just gone, my mum (and her family) could not have been more fortunate than to find Lammas House and its wonderful staff. Mum had a fall at the start of the pandemic and was propelled uncontrollably into
the medical system, staying briefly at two hospitals, coming out with Covid-19 (mild symptoms thankfully) into a NHS nursing home. A search for local care homes revealed Lammas House as the clear favourite on paper and, though at capacity at that time, the staff were very encouraging and sympathetic. After a short wait, we were told there was space for Mum and with minimum beaurocracy, she moved in. Despite the terrible conditions and constraints of the pandemic, the staff have remained resilient and cheerful, trying their best to mitigate the appalling impact on the residents and families, and witnessing their creativity and ingenuity with our loved ones has been a joy.

My late mother moved to Lammas House following a hip fracture which left her unable to walk unaided. She was a resident for 18 months. I've always found the home to be spotlessly clean, and all the staff to be very helpful, caring, courteous and committed to the residents' wellbeing. The home is extremely
well managed and organised. Mum loved the food ! The facilities allow residents to mix in activity rooms, dining areas and garden - or to stay in their rooms if that is their preference. Communication with me and subsequent action about any issues with my mother's health and welfare was first class.
It was so comforting to know that my mother's daytime and nighttime care needs were being fulfilled and she was in a safe and caring environment.

My mother-in-law has been a resident at Lammas House since June 2020 and, despite the challenging times, the staff could not have done more for her. The Lammas House staff are wonderful and I believe truly care for their residents as if they were family. My mother-in-law is very stimulated by all the
group activities and has thrived in the communal atmosphere. She looks well cared for and very well fed by the accommodating catering staff. She is always dressed nicely and often the staff will do the full hairdressing service! My mother-in-law remains healthy and cheery and I am in no doubt that this is due to her life at Lammas. I would heartily recommend Lammas to anyone considering life in a residential home and their families should be reassured by knowing they are well cared for.

I was so relieved Lammas House had a room available for my darling mum, following her stay in hospital in April/May 2020. This was such a horrendous, challenging time for us as a family, not being able to see her.
Mum says of Lammas House, 'it's like being in a 5 star hotel, food wonderful, I sleep
well (and now so do I) and the staff, well nothing is too much trouble', I found this immensely reassuring. The home has a lovely family atmosphere.
The staff kept us up to date with a weekly newsletter via email, Mum loved the Mediterranean Cruise.
The dedication, commitment and care by the manager cascades to her wonderful, kind and compassionate staff.
The whole team is outstanding with their combined efforts to make up for the absence of family with zoom calls, facetime etc. so lovely to see Mum
And visiting Mum through the window and it the garden, simply wonderful!
Unfortunately Mum passed away in early February. Thank you to all of the staff from the bottom of my heart.

I have visited the resident on an approximately monthly basis. Each time I have found him happy and comfortable. He is happy with his accommodation and looks forward to his meals, the lovely smells of which make my own mouth water! The staff is very attentive and he has made warm relationships with
them. He is able to choose which activities attract him and his time to quietly indulge in his love of reading is respected. It is comforting for his family to know that first-class attention is at hand when he needs that extra care.

I have visited my dad today for the first time since lockdown - he is very happy to see me and tells me his care is 'first class'. I cannot go in the building but back in March it was great. I am relieved that the manager and the team have now allowed a restricted visit - I am just happy my dad is well
and in good spirits.

It was great to see mum and sit with her, socially distanced of course. Mum looked very well and said she is enjoying the food but that there isn't much to do. We know she isn't remembering much though and from the lovely newsletters we've been receiving we know there are activities that mum has participated
in. Overall we are very happy with the standard of care mum is receiving.

My dad describes himself as living in a lovely hotel, everything is clean and well maintained. The staff could not be more helpful. As a visitor I am welcomed by professional staff who are lovely, caring people. Great leadership is shown by the manager. Thank you all.

This home is only relevant if you have money and do not suffer from any conditions such as dementia. They are very keen to part with your money and very demanding about getting it and do not part with any monies owing to residents that leave. They know the bureaucracy they need to follow and follow
it rigidly, I would not recommend this place.

My mother has now been at Lammas House for three years and I thought that they could not exceed the wonderful care and attention that they have consistently given over that time. The manager personifies every attribute you could wish for and her care, commitment and dedication resonate throughout the
staff and the home. The care staff, kitchen staff and domestic staff work so hard and have so much affection for their residents - they are all so open and approachable; the activities co-ordinator is an absolute joy. Then Covid-19 arrived, and my worst nightmare of not being able to visit my mum came true, but there is nowhere else I would wish her to be. They are truly outstanding in their efforts to bring joy to the residents and make up for the absence of family. They have made every effort to make any permissible contact possible and send a weekly newsletter to reassure us. Thank you Lammas House, I feel truly blessed in these terrible times.

The care my Aunt has received over the past year or more has been exceptional. It provides a warm homely facility with friendly and caring staff. Always a choice of meals and the Activity co-ordinator provides a large variety of things for the residents to do.

I visit a longstanding friend when I can. The staff are always welcoming, despite being very busy. The coffee morning was a joyous occasion - an entertainer encouraging a sing-song, ample refreshment, encouragement for fundraising, head shaving of my friend to boost funds.
Lammas is always clean, with
appetising meals and plenty of social activities.
