The team at Lammas House are proud to be a CQC Outstanding rated home in Coventry (January 2019), and when you visit you can see why. Passionate about enriching the lives of their residents, many of the staff have been with the home for over ten years.

Providing residential care, they also offer pre-bookable respite care breaks. These are ideal for carers who would like to take a short break themselves, with the peace of mind of knowing their loved one is being well cared for and enjoying a break of their own.

The team creates so many activities and experiences which bring joy to their residents. From animal therapy and baking to growing their own fruit, vegetables and herbs, which are then used by the chef in the kitchen.

There is also a Lammas House Choir, who fill the home with the sound of music and perform for their loved ones, a book club and knit and natter group.

And talking of food, the chef prepares delicious, home-cooked meals, from roast dinners with all the trimmings, freshly made soups and lighter bites to themed menus for special occasions. He also creates home-made cocktails and there are freshly baked treats each day for afternoon tea.

Lammas House also offers private dining, where residents and their loved ones can enjoy a delicious three-course meal, prepared by the home’s chef, in a quiet lounge with a bottle of wine.

The team are passionate about the residents having a very active role to play in how their home is run. There is a resident ambassador who does everything from chairing residents’ meetings and providing feedback to the team, to welcoming new residents and families.

The local community are embraced into life in the home, with local school children visiting regularly to sing for the residents and take part in activities.

There is also a hair salon for weekly appointments with a mobile hairdresser. A chiropodist also visits for regular appointments.

I visit Lammas House most days of the week and have always found the facilities to be spotlessly clean. All areas are light and airy and the garden area around the building is extremely well maintained.
I have been impressed with the level of care and support provided by all members of staff in whatever
capacity and also by the variety of activities on offer to the residents.

My mum entered Lammas House in January 2019 after a stay in hospital due to continuous falls at home, she has settled in very well and the staff are extremely kind and respectful of residents. She has had excellent care and attention to her medical needs she is happy and enjoys the company of the other
residents. She is always talking about the meals which are varied and tasty we are lucky to have obtained a place at Lammas House.

I visited my friend's mum today and have visited a couple of times previously.
I am just so impressed with everything. From care to cleanliness. As soon as I walked through the door I found it inviting. It smells lovely, there is music in the entrance hall.
They are so friendly and welcoming. It's
spotless and my friend is just so happy with her mum's care.
I have already recommended Lammas House to two friends who are looking for a beautiful, caring home for their mums too.

Mum's arrival at Lammas House set the tone for her new life in residential care. She had been assessed in hospital by a manager from another home, so nobody had met her yet, but she was greeted by name, ushered to her room, offered refreshment and made very welcome.
Mum's care is excellent; every
carer has been kind, efficient and helpful at all times and Mum views many of her carers as friends. I have been struck by how her dignity and autonomy are respected. I would love her to engage more with the many activities on offer but although she is encouraged to get out of her room, she is never forced to.
She has presented some challenges in terms of managing her medical conditions and her behaviour but the staff have approached every challenge with a will to find solutions. They have also been friendly and welcoming to my sister and me. We are very thankful that Lammas House had a vacancy at the time we needed it.

Lammas House is a small home run by a dedicated team, many of whom have worked there for many years. As such they give a very personal and friendly service and add those extra special touches to ensure that residents feel loved and wanted, are well looked after and part of a very special family. Mother,
now 97. is the 3rd member of our family to have been a resident there and she is very content in her warm and comfortable room, with her own front door. She has a good appetite and the attractive menu of home cooked food and special "treats" make meal times something she looks forward to and enjoys. Because of poor hearing and eye-sight she is not a great mixer and only occasionally attends the daily social events, but she is always encouraged to join in and always there on special occasions that are celebrated. The care home is always spotlessly clean, family and friends are encouraged to visit and always made welcome. Communication over any welfare issues is also excellent.

I am thrilled with the care my mum receives at Lammas House. I find all the staff very approachable and experiences in their toles. Mum has been ill on several occasions as she is 97, but has always been cared for well and treated with respect and understanding. I cannot speak highly enough of the service
we receive and I am extremely grateful.

Our relative is almost 109 years old! and has been at Lammas House for about 5 years. We have always been extremely satisfied with the level of care, the dedicated and kind staff. There is a good range of daily activities. The food is excellent. The decor and standard of cleanliness is very good indeed.
The new garden area has been a valuable addition to the facilities at Lammas House.

My mother has been a resident for six months now. Because of her vascular dementia, she had become very unhappy at home.
We have seen an improvement in her well being since being at Lammas House. The staff are friendly, vibrant, efficient and super friendly.
The residence is always clean and welcoming
and our family are more settled knowing she is in such great care.
I would recommend Lammas House to anyone needing such care.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Lammas House. I was placed in the unfortunate position of having to find a care home for my friend who was trapped in hospital pending finding a home. I researched, called and visited numerous, Lammas House was perfect in all aspects, from the initial call
and thousands of questions I had, they reassured me with both their professional approach and kind mannerisms. I was very impressed when I visited and it is reasonably priced. I was horrified by some of the experiences I had when visiting other homes.
My friend moved there in January 2017 and so I feel well placed to comment, I visit weekly, my friend is really well cared for, with a noticeable improvement over the time she has been a resident.
It is not a big home and isn't flash, there isn't a large lounge and not lots of trips etc, but that isn't what we were looking for. There is a real caring and personal tailored approach from all of the staff. Absolutely perfect! Thank you.
