The team at Lammas House are proud to be a CQC Outstanding rated home in Coventry (January 2019), and when you visit you can see why. Passionate about enriching the lives of their residents, many of the staff have been with the home for over ten years.

Providing residential care, they also offer pre-bookable respite care breaks. These are ideal for carers who would like to take a short break themselves, with the peace of mind of knowing their loved one is being well cared for and enjoying a break of their own.

The team creates so many activities and experiences which bring joy to their residents. From animal therapy and baking to growing their own fruit, vegetables and herbs, which are then used by the chef in the kitchen.

There is also a Lammas House Choir, who fill the home with the sound of music and perform for their loved ones, a book club and knit and natter group.

And talking of food, the chef prepares delicious, home-cooked meals, from roast dinners with all the trimmings, freshly made soups and lighter bites to themed menus for special occasions. He also creates home-made cocktails and there are freshly baked treats each day for afternoon tea.

Lammas House also offers private dining, where residents and their loved ones can enjoy a delicious three-course meal, prepared by the home’s chef, in a quiet lounge with a bottle of wine.

The team are passionate about the residents having a very active role to play in how their home is run. There is a resident ambassador who does everything from chairing residents’ meetings and providing feedback to the team, to welcoming new residents and families.

The local community are embraced into life in the home, with local school children visiting regularly to sing for the residents and take part in activities.

There is also a hair salon for weekly appointments with a mobile hairdresser. A chiropodist also visits for regular appointments.

Food good residents felt more variety would be preferable. The resident is more than happy about being here and feels safe and I being treated well as an individual. Looking forward to the warmer weather and being able to enjoy the new garden and therefore change of scenery.
Staff are very approachable
and attentive to both residents and family.

This is a very well managed care home.


The staff are very caring to all of the residents and try to attend to all their needs. They create good relationships with all residents and are always willing to have fun with them - there are some real caring staff here.


The restaurant becomes a focal

point at meal times where there is a varied menu to choose from. The home is extremely clean and well appointed. The resident's rooms are all en-suite and of a sensible size.


Any changes in residents conditions are flagged appropriately to the family and are always willing to discuss their welfare and ways to keep them happy and content.


After visiting numerous care homes in Coventry I can say this stands out from the crowd - you can tell as soon as you step through the door it's special.

Mum has been a resident at Lammas House Residential Care Home over three years now. During this time there have been periods of her being very unwell. The staff have been extremely caring for her varying needs. They cope so well with the changes in mum's behaviour. Mum is always pleased to see the staff
and usually responds well and with a smile.
The food I have seen looks very appetising and varied.
Mum is always clean and the home is spotless with no smell of urine.
I consider us very lucky that mum is very well looked after at Lammas House Residential Care Home.

I am so very happy here in Lammas House Residential Care Home . Everyone is very friendly and the staff always have time to help us. We also have plenty of enjoyment to stimulate us. A very caring residential home. The staff are caring, efficient and accessible. My husband's aunt has thrived in their care. I have visited many residential homes for the elderly when looking after my mother and my aunt. Lammas House Residential Care Home is by far the best I have come across.

My aunt has been at Lammas House Residential Care Home for a year and I could not have wished for a more caring environment. I have visited many residential homes in Coventry and beyond and Lammas House Residential Care Home is the best I have seen. All the staff are friendly, caring and respectful
and my aunt has been exceptionally well looked after. We live a long distance away and the staff keep us regularly informed on a daily basis if necessary. we thank our lucky stars that we were able to find such a wonderful residential home for my aunt!

I was immediately aware of a really happy atmosphere, everything has been done to make my sister feel "at home". I have never expected to find such kindness. As a visitor, I have been welcomed and can clearly see the happiness that exists. Brilliant!

Most staff go out of their way to support and care for residents, but some staff are difficult to understand. They are all so busy that sometimes rush the residents.
The kitchen staff go out of their way to make food for mum who has difficult dietary requirements. Entertainment is very good and other
activities are excellent. It would be nice to have a lounge area on the ground floor with comfortable arm chairs for the concerts etc.

My mother in law is 107 old next week. Lammas House carers are continually caring and adapt the care to suit her age and daily ability. She is becoming more needy and difficult to please. The level of care they gave with a limited number of staff passes our expectation. I think considering her age she
is quite exceptional but her needs and care are dealt with in a kind patient and longing way.

I feel that my mum is in a safe place, where the staff do their best to meet her needs. The management and staff are always ready to listen to concerns and act upon anything that arises, they are always welcoming and caring with my mum. The home has a happy and calm atmosphere.
