Bircham's Grange Residential Care Home has been caring for the elderly for over 20 years and has established an enviable reputation for excellent care, this has been achieved with its long serving Manager and loyal dedicated staff.

The home offers person centred care in a warm, homely, friendly and peaceful atmosphere. The team provide long-term residential care, also those with dementia related illnesses, they offer all residents excellent levels of care and support that is right for them. Care services are tailored around each individual to meet their specific needs and requirements.

Bircham's Grange is equipped with every modern comfort but it retains an air of unhurried tranquillity, a welcoming atmosphere and a sense of family to ensure residents feel relaxed and at home. Care and facilities are excellent. Staff couldn't be more caring and helpful. Father's room is a little small but was made available at short notice.

Mum has been at Birchams Grange for two years and I have always found the care to be of the highest standard. It is refreshing to see the staff encourage residents to get involved in activities, trips and entertainment. The staff always appeared to be committed and motivated towards residents' care
and always have a friendly welcome and smile for families visiting. Birchams Grange have a great team.

Always a welcome from lovely, friendly staff.
It is never a problem to visit at short notice and always find the resident looking clean, tidy and well cared for. Great that I can take my dog to visit too. The resident gains great pleasure from this. The home is very well run and we feel lucky to have

My family member has been a resident at Birchams Grange for several years and has been very well looked after. During my visits, the atmosphere in the home has always been a busy, friendly and caring place. It is always nice and warm in Winter with a high standard of décor, very clean and fresh.
The
meals are tasty, and there is a well-cared-for garden with an enclosed patio including outdoor furniture to sit out, enjoying good weather with coffee and cake or afternoon tea.
I have always been impressed with the standard of healthcare at Birchams Grange, keeping me well informed, and the management of the recent Covid outbreak was excellent. The staff are amazing, very kind, friendly, and happy to chat, although they are always busy! Trips out are arranged, eg. to see the beautiful bluebells flowering on the slopes of the hills in Spring or to a meal out locally. It is also possible to walk to the nearby woodland café for a change of scenery.

An outstanding standard of care. The staff are overwhelmingly kind and genuinely caring. My experience with Birchams Grange has been incredibly positive. It was a hard and emotional decision to put family into care, but the managers and team have made it as smooth as possible. I am very satisfied with the care for Mum, she is settled, looks beautifully presented and I know she is safe.
The staff treat her with respect and speak to her as a valued person with humour and fondness. There have been a few minor teething issues with Mum settling in due to her dementia and huge change in living conditions but the communication and support has been great. I feel confident we all have the same aim of making sure Mum has the best quality of life possible. Although the care is predominantly for Mum, I feel supported too and I am certain and thankful that this is the right home for my mum.

I highly recommend this small, friendly care home, which is immaculately clean and fresh at all times, with dedicated well-trained staff who are the kindest, warmest people whose aim is the happiness, well-being, safety and dignity of all residents. There is a real team spirit and a happy culture.
My father has lived there for almost a year. He settled in very quickly and is extremely happy.
Meals are home-cooked by a small team led by a wonderfully caring cook who produces lovely well-balanced meals, and fantastic cakes! Much of the food is sourced locally.
The days are well-organised, with lots of activities to suit all interests, and a nice daily rhythm coordinated by a dedicated and fun staff member alongside the care team.
The managers are outstanding, with a hands-on approach. They are close to all residents and communicate well with their families. The care offered allows residents as much independence as possible, whilst recognising when assistance is needed.

Job Title: Registered Manager

Joined: 1986

I started at Birchams Grange when I was 14 years old as a weekend Tea Girl, Since then I have worked my way through every department of the home. I became the Registered Manager in 2001 and I have been pleased to have been able to lead the team since then. In 2018 we became proud parents of 2 children and recently got a puppy to add to the chaos! My days are very full so I am unable to tell you what I do in my "spare time" because I do not have any.
