My wife has been at Coldwells House for a few years now and I feel the care she is receiving is second to none. When my daughter and I visit we are made very welcome as well. As for the management we find the door is always open.

My mother has been at Coldwells House for over 3 years now and has received the highest standards of care and has been treated with respect and dignity at all times. All the staff are very caring and nothing is too much trouble for them. I wish to thank you all for your continued support, the home is
very well managed and we are always made welcome on visits to Mum.

Dad is happy and content in his home at Coldwells House. He enjoys being able to wander around the house if he wants, he isn't one for joining activities, but he does like to people-watch! He often comments that he enjoys his meals and that the staff are very good. He has had a few health issues and
staff have kept us informed each time. We are more than pleased with the excellent care that Dad receives. We appreciate that he is well looked after, safe and happy. All the staff are brilliant and a special mention to the manager and deputy who have been so helpful. Coldwells certainly deserves the rating outstanding. When looking for a care home for Dad we used the criteria could we live here if we needed care? and the answer was yes. We are so pleased that we made the right choice.

Generally favourable, although getting an answer to ringing the entry bell on arrival and departure can take an annoyingly long time.
Otherwise, my mother is well cared for and happy at the home, which is our priority.

My husband had Young Onset Alzheimers and was a resident at Coldwells House for the last year of his life.
As his care needs increased, the team at Coldwells were proactive in reviewing and adapting his care plan in consultation with me. The staff always took my views into account.
They supported
me to consider and set out the priorities for his end-of-life care in advance, to ensure his best interests were met and his wishes followed - which they all were.
My husband had formed a fantastic bond with the staff at Coldwells and it was very important to me that he was able to remain at Coldwells for the duration and be cared for by people who he knew, and who knew him well.
Their skills and experience in end-of-life care and the care and compassion they showed to my husband, myself and our family were greatly appreciated by us all, during a very difficult time.
We would not hesitate to recommend Coldwells.

Mum has just recently moved into Coldwells House Care Home. It is fair to say from the initial conversations regarding her move, to now just a couple of weeks in, the staff have been exceptional. They have been reassuring, understanding and kind to us during this (difficult) transition period. From
the contact and support we have received so far I can see why Coldwells is so highly recommended.

My mother was taken ill at the end of June. The staff were amazing! Not only did they take excellent care of her at Coldwells, constantly checking on her, they went 'above and beyond'. They spent ages trying to arrange for someone from her surgery to visit her and, when a prescription was finally forthcoming,
one of the staff collected her medication from a pharmacy on their way to work so that she could start her treatment before the weekend. They have shown genuine care and concern for my mother, and thanks to them, she is now on the road to recovery!

Having had previous experience of other care homes I can honestly say the care provided by the team at Coldwells House Care Home is outstanding.
There is an open dialogue between staff and relatives allowing a collaborative approach to care. Proactive steps are taken by the team to further support
my family member, working well with other outside agencies as needed. All team members are approachable and I really feel they know him well and are able to answer any questions I have with ease.
My family member lives with dementia and it is clear the team have a deep understanding of the disease and review his needs regularly adapting his care plan accordingly. Changes needed are implemented quickly.
I would not hesitate in recommending this care home.

The high standards continue which is evident in the latest inspection outcome of ‘outstanding’. The care home manager is an exceptional person and her staff team constantly reflect their loyalty to her and their appreciation of her caring management style. The manager is cognizant of the needs of each
resident and, uniquely, is able to take a holistic view of what is in the best interests of each person. Coldwells House is a very special place which I would recommend without hesitation. It is truly an extension of our own home.

My mother-in-law took a while to settle into Coldwells House Care Home due to Covid restrictions. She was treated with care by all the staff and soon felt "at home". The food was of first-class standard. Mum liked joining in with a card game on Wednesday and some of the many activities on offer. The
staff are so dedicated.

My mother has been in residence at Coldwells House Care Home for a few months now and has received excellent care. The level of care is superb and the staff are always on hand to help. The staff's level of expertise is wonderful and they are always happy to answer questions about my mum's condition.
This home is a happy home, where the staff and management make all feel welcome. I am so relieved my mum is safe and settled. These are uncertain times with Covid but I know my mum is safe and well cared for. Thank you and a Merry Christmas to all.

Coldwells House have been brilliant at keeping mum safe during Covid. Communication throughout has not been great but once the Facebook page was up and running again we felt more connected. Very expensive for what mum needs. Small room and cramped, but she is happy and well cared for and the staff are

Very recently we had a care plan review for Mum. After the restrictions due to Covid, we felt it important to catch up on Mum’s progress. They were only too pleased to arrange this on Zoom and we had more than an hour where all of our questions were answered. We were all reassured about Mum’s care.
Despite not being able to visit they have very tight procedures to keep residents safe and active. We explained our concerns (we don’t know what activities mum does as she can’t communicate well anymore) and we have a plan moving forward to help us with this. I couldn’t be happier about mum’s care. She is a member of the Coldwells House family and is very well looked after. She always looks happy and I love her new haircut!

My 94-year-old father moved to Coldwells in October and has settled in remarkably well. The staff have been absolutely wonderful; in this extreme time. I have nothing but praise for their care and consideration. I am so glad we chose Coldwells.

My husband has been at Coldwells House since January 2020. He has been very happy. The care of the staff is wonderful. Unfortunately, the Covid pandemic closed the place down but I have been very happy with the communication at all times. We can now visit again and visits are well organised and hopefully,
these will become more regular. Well done to everyone at Coldwells House, it must be so difficult at these strange times.
