Beechwood is a thriving care home full of activity, which has a warm, family feel the moment you walk through the door.

Not only do the team provide residential and dementia care, they also offer pre-bookable respite care breaks. These are ideal for carers who might need a short break themselves, with the peace of mind of knowing their loved one is in safe hands.

The enormous gardens are the perfect spot for residents to enjoy growing their own fruit, vegetables and herbs, which is then used in the kitchen, where the chef creates delicious home-cooked meals.

During the summer, the team supported residents to create their own personalised garden plots and window boxes, where they have grown everything from flowers and beetroot to tomatoes. And the gardens are perfect for when ponies from the local riding stables pop in.

The team are passionate about enriching the lives of their residents and supporting them to have a very active role in how their home is run. Beechwood’s resident ambassadors provide feedback at residents’ and relatives’ meetings and welcome potential residents, spending time answering any questions they or their loved ones might have.

The local community is embraced into life at Beechwood. Local nursery children, community volunteers, a singing group, Gina’s exercise class and Malvern Community Library are all regulars. Animal visits are also popular, with everything from therapy dogs to reptiles!

Every Friday people from the Upton community join the residents for coffee and cake (11am- 2pm).

A hairdresser visits for weekly appointments in the home’s salon, and there is a large lounge, as well as smaller lounge areas and a conservatory to spend time with family and friends, who are welcome at any time. And families can also see what the residents have been enjoying doing on the home’s private Facebook page.

From day one, myself and my mother have been treated with the utmost care, respect and consideration. They have made an incredibly difficult time for the family much easier for us and provided much-needed support through the whole transition process of moving Mum into their care. When we have had periods
of doubt and uncertainty, they have filled in the gaps for us and provided us with sound advice and guidance. The staff are incredibly warm, welcoming and accommodating, and with the care home's lovely residential setting and its homely atmosphere, you feel instantly at ease and confident that your loved one is going to be well-cared for. My parents have been residents at Beechwood Residential Care Home since the end of July 2023 and I can honestly say this is the best care home in so many ways! This staff, every single one of them, have looked after my parents incredibly. Always on hand, they are so caring, genuinely caring about their
residents and families. Healthcare is second to none and there is so much for the residents to do. The home itself is inviting, my parents love it, my dad thinks he's in a hotel! Can't recommend enough.

My mother needed emergency respite care whilst her long term needs were assessed. The assessment team showed her every respect and consideration and within 24 hours they had seamlessly organised for her to move into Beechwood Residential Care Home. We were met on arrival with smiles and warm words from
everyone and this has been the case every day since. All I wanted for Mum was for her to be made to feel safe, valued and well looked after and I cannot think of anywhere nicer for her to be. The home is warm, feels homely and happy. Because everything is so well taken care of, I can visit and enjoy spending time with her instead of worrying about what needs to be done. Thank you all.

Following my dad's death in April 203, it became apparent that my mum could not cope on her own due to Alzheimer's. I was recommended to Beechwood by a relative. On looking around, the staff were all very pleasant and professional, and the home had a nice, homely atmosphere. Mum has been in the home
since June, and she looks a lot better in herself. She is always clean and tidy, and I cannot fault the care of all the staff - it is excellent. I would like to thank the manager and all the staff for the excellent care they give to Mum and all the residents.

The first couple of weeks were difficult for mother to adjust to, however, the staff were very supportive and reassuring and slowly things improved. One or two problems were brought to the manager's attention and they were dealt with swiftly. All the staff are helpful and polite with a good general

My mother was cared for at Beechwood Residential Care Home for two and a half years. She was always well cared for, personal wishes were respected. Mum was surrounded by a wonderful staff team, who went above and beyond. As a family, we felt she was really loved by them all. Thank you to everyone.

Beechwood is a pleasant facility, not at all like an institution. There are many homely features scattered about the communal areas, like family photos and old fireplaces.
The staff always give me the sense that they really do care. There never seems to be a feeling that they are 'going through the
motions'.
For me, the people who care for Mum are the most important thing, and the people at Beechwood make me feel confident that Mum is very well looked after.

The staff at Beechwood Residential Care Home put on a party for my mum's 100th which was absolutely brilliant. We paid for a singer who was great. The food and drink was excellent and more than enough. Most of the residents attended which mum really enjoyed. Since she has been at Beechwood the staff
have looked after my mum so well. I can not thank them enough.

My experience with Beechwood Residential Care Home has been excellent. My mum has been living there for just over 12 months. She has received the best care possible. All the staff are extremely caring to both my mum and me. They are very supportive, and I must say, always cheerful in what has been an
extremely hard two years for everyone, and they have managed to keep all the residents safe during the worst of the pandemic. I would thoroughly recommend Beechwood.

My wife enetered Beechwood just eight months ago suffering from Alzhimer's/Dementia as well as other chronic conditions. The care she has received has been exemplary in all ways, and I have been kept informed about her condition and welfare at all times. Covid caused so difficulty, sure, but did not
prevent visits to see my wife. I, and our children, are pleased to see the staff's attention to detail.

I have been so impressed over the last 2 years with the dedication of all the staff at Beechwood. They have worked so hard to keep residents safe whilst allowing as much visiting as possible in the circumstances. Beechwood has welcomed my Nan with much more than open arms. They have been incredible, with what was a bit of a rough start for my Nan moving into care, they have gone above and beyond to make her feel more than at home. I feel extremely happy knowing my Nan is happy, enjoying her food, has a comfy
room, lovely company and just everything she needs. I have regular updates on how my Nan is doing and can call as regularly as I wish and nothing is ever too much for the team who are caring for her. When I see my Nan in photos it’s like seeing her at home. Cosy and settled. Really couldn’t be happier. Thank you Beechwood.

My mother has been a resident at Beechwood Residential Care Home for the last seven months, she absolutely loves it there. Her room is very homely, full of her own items from her previous home. The staff are all marvellous, kind, considerate and very affectionate. Nothing is too much trouble for them.
I feel my mother's dementia and wellbeing has improved a lot since being there. Too many staff to thank but just to recognise a few - the lady who printed out a lovely photograph for my mother. A gentleman carer who is very kind to my mother and many more staff there. You are truly wonderful.

My mother receives good care. The coronavirus has not helped, but the care workers at the home are doing their best.
My mum said that she could do with more showers, she sometimes doesn't get the shower a week, this must improve.

I think my mum's concern prior to this virus lockdown was the acute shortage of carers at the weekends. Whether this improved I can't say due to the fact we can't visit.
My mother is very hard of hearing so garden visits won't work.
