Providing residential and dementia care, the home has launched its beautiful eight-bed Mulberry Suite offering respite care breaks, which can be pre-booked up to six months ahead. This unique service means that family carers can have some ‘me time’, whilst their loved one is being cared for in wonderful surroundings. The suite has beautifully decorated bedrooms with ensuite wet rooms, a communal lounge and dining area, kitchenette and a quiet study area.

And person-centred day care sessions are also provided on Tuesdays and Thursdays (9.30am to 4.30pm). These sessions include fabulous activities, a delicious lunch and afternoon tea and refreshments.

The gardens at Breme are a beautiful space for the residents to grow their own fruit and veg, which they pick for the chef to use in the kitchen, giving them such a sense of achievement.

There are visits from local nursery children and volunteers, a local vicar who holds religious services, animal visits, pamper sessions, weekly community coffee mornings, live music, baking, fitness classes and so much more! There is also a minibus, for regular day trips. The home also has fantastic links with Bromsgrove Library, keeping the residents regularly supplied with reading materials!

The beautiful gardens are perfect for summer picnics, parties and relaxing with family and friends, who are welcome to visit at any time. The home also has its own private Facebook group, so loved ones can stay connected and see what the residents are enjoying, even if they can’t be there that day.

Breme has beautiful bedrooms, with ensuite wet rooms, several of which have patio access to the gardens. There is also a salon, for weekly appointments with a mobile hairdresser.

There are lovely lounge areas and dining rooms, where residents enjoy delicious, home-cooked food and home-baked treats for afternoon tea. The residents also enjoy regular cheese and wine nights.

I have day visits weekly and have stay as a resident once for 10 days. My day visits are very good and I enjoy my stay.
But on staying as a resident for the 10 days 2024, I felt the provided activities were not available. Before staying I believed several activities would be available to me. I came
away dissapointed, but enjoy and continue with the day centre. I would only like to stay as a resident for a week if activities (some) are available for me to take part in.

I've been taking my mother, who suffers with Alzheimer's dementia, to the day centre twice a week for the best part of a year regularly. It's been a game changer for us both in a positive way. It gets her socialised, occupied and above all, makes her feel part of a friendship group that alleviates her
anxiety, makes her feel safe, welcomed, useful and doesn't highlight her condition. She feels normal and not compromised which is extremely important to her overall mental health. She loves being there, her mood lifts consistently and gives her purpose for those two days. As her main carer, this positively impacts our relationship and alleviates my own stress, giving me more time for me, knowing she is happy and safe and well cared for. The staff are exemplary. Warm, inviting and constantly providing activities. I cannot recommend the day centre highly enough.

My wife, of sixty-two years, is well looked after and that's the important consideration when I left her there. She seems happy, smallish room but compact, friendly staff. Hardworking but almost always a smile. When I take her out for a meal to a restaurant, she always has a smile on returning.

I am very pleased with the care my mother receives. All the care staff are professional, kind, thoughtful and very caring.

My mum went into Breme Residential Care Home yesterday. All the staff were so kind and helpful. A room was arranged so quickly, in less than an hour, so that we were able to take her in on the same day.
It was very traumatic for my dad and I but all the staff were so supportive. The reception staff
went above and beyond to help us.

I have attended Breme Residential Care Home since last year. I have stayed for respite and now I have come to live at Breme. I have stayed on Mulberry Suite which is beautiful and I now have a room on the ground floor. I feel very safe and everyone is very kind to me. The manager is very good and spends

If there is no one on reception at the weekend it is almost impossible to phone my mom. So much so I have given up trying to ring at weekends. Maybe more of the staff could be trained on how to transfer calls?
