We are happy with Mum living at Northwick. She has good days and bad days but overall enjoys. The bad days relate to herself in how she's feeling, not necessarily her care. Carers are helpful and caring and look after the residents well in, sometimes, not an easy situation. We all feel very settled
with her care and thankful she has settled well. Her bedroom is always clean and bathroom too.

I find the staff very friendly and professional. They care for the residents well and are always welcoming to visitors.

My mother has been a resident at Northwick Grange for almost 2 years. She is very settled here and well looked after by all the staff - as I visit regularly I am able to witness this first hand. Staff work incredibly hard in sometimes challenging situations. They have been very encouraging with my mum,
enabling her to have as much interaction as suits her, with both staff and other residents. (She's not particularly sociable but has benefitted from the positive relationships established). She feels at home - thank you!

Northwick Grange is generally a good care home with regular staff of a high standard, but there can be problems with agency staff. Some are really good, but a few are not up to standard with caregiving. When English is not a first language, it can be very difficult for older people to hear and understand
them. Cleanliness is excellent at Northwick Grange but food can vary, especially if agency chefs are on duty. Sometimes, hot food is served on a cold plate for instance. Northwick Grange needs to be fitted with double glazing throughout and the car park has some very big potholes near the road end. The paint is peeling off the window frames, giving the frontage a shabby appearance. With the large increase in weekly fees, you should be attending to these matters more.

Thank you for your comments concerning Northwick Grange. We are pleased you are satisfied with the levels of care received. We are working hard on recruitment to reduce our reliance on agency staff however inevitably with absence through sickness there is a need to use them from time to time. We endeavour to use agency staff that are familiar with our home and processes. In terms of maintenance, as a company, we have a scheduled programme of works which includes Northwick Grange which will see the areas you have highlighted addressed.
