Dad was only in the care home for 2 months before he sadly passed away. We always found it to be very homely. The staff were always very smily & helpful & we know he was comfortable in his final weeks. Being a small care home we found the staff to be very approachable & flexible. We wouldn't hesitate
to recommend the manager & her team to others.

Thought the staff very friendly, It's been along time since I saw mum smile and she did when at The Willows Care Home. Her hair and nails looked very nice. The residents seemed quite happy. If I had to consider putting mum into a home, I would definitely consider The Willows.

From day one, just after COVID-19, my dad has been cared for by the wonderful staff at The Willows with such care and dedication. Dad has advanced Alzheimer's and is treated with patience, respect, dignity and humour, to which he responds really positively. The staff have managed his 'quirks' and medical
needs 24/7 for years, always advising promptly if there is an issue. This small care home with promptly and friendly atmosphere is perfect for Dad, the staff always have time for him and visiting family. We feel blessed to have The Willows staff looking after Dad.

My father-in-law passed away at The Willows very recently. The Willows' star quality is that it feels just like a home with all staff working to the same goal, to provide excellent care. This is reflected in the happy and relaxed atmosphere. Staff can be seen by residents hanging the washing out, a
normal daily activity, which is a perfect example of how a home should be; There is absolutely no sense of the dreaded ‘institution’. The manager keeps the residents' best interests at heart at all times. My father-in-law was not easy to care for, but his care was excellent. The challenges he presented were addressed with sensitivity and respect, resulting in us feeling a great sense of trust. Visiting is welcomed, and as my father-in-law was dying we could feel the kindness and compassion shown to us all, by all, and especially to him. If in future I ever need residential care I would choose a home exactly like The Willows because they have got it just right. Thank you.

While Mum was only at The Willows for a little over 3 weeks before she passed away, the care she received during that time was second to none and the support offered to relatives was excellent, even down to providing a bed for the night and refreshments. We would highly recommend The Willows, which
has a lovely homely atmosphere as soon as you walk through the door and incredibly thoughtful and caring staff.

We have been really delighted with the wonderful care Mum has received at The Willows since she moved in at short notice last November. The manager and her team are tremendously good. We cannot thank them enough for living in during lockdown to minimise risk to the residents. The staff take a real
personal interest in each resident as an individual, and there is lots of fun and cheerfulness in the home. Medical issues are handled carefully. The garden is lovely and we have started to be able to visit again, with due precautions. Thank you so much.

Alison thank you so much for all your support and kind words. Your mum is a very gracious and delightful lady to look after a real pleasure. Mum has coped remarkably well since we have been locked down. Hopefully, be able to return back to normality very soon.

My mother has been there for over two years now, and I must say she has been happy with the quality of service, staff and management.
I’ve been going there at different times, and on each occasion, I have found my mother happy and satisfied.
The staff are very friendly and committed to providing
good care and attention to detail!
During the Coronavirus lockdown, the staff worked very hard and even stayed in the home for the whole of the duration so as not to bring in or out any infection. Can’t thank them enough.
Keep up the good work.

My mother has been resident at The Willows since Sept 2017, initially to be with my father who had Alzheimer's and needed full-time care. He died in February last year, and it is a testament to how settled she is at The Willows that she wanted to remain there. Being a small home with a small and dedicated
staff team, it does feel like an extension of our family, and during the Covid crisis, I have really missed popping in three or four times a week as I used to. The staff care for my mother as if she were their own family, and what more can you ask for? The owner regularly makes improvements to the environment, and the rear garden is particularly peaceful to sit in. The manager is approachable so in addition to the regular 'formal' reviews of care that we are offered, I feel I can always pick up the phone if I need to (for example at the moment to ask if staff can help my mother try on new footwear). All in all a warm and supportive place.

Thank You, Viv, We really appreciate the feedback. I have to really take my hat off to the carers over the last few months they have gone above and beyond their job role. Thank-you again.

My father has been in care at The Willows Worcester for eight months now. They have both been very caring and dedicated to his care even when he was going through his 'awkward' moments. People living at The Willows are respected, cared for and handled professionally. As importantly, they are friendly
and approachable, showing a real devotion towards caring. During COVID the staff self-isolated to ensure chances of infection were minimal which showed a real dedication given the threat this virus offers to all elderly people. Some entertainment is offered but more importantly, the staff offer a real empathy with the residents - they are not just another paying customer but are respected as individuals. The character building really suits my father but what pleases me most is the fact he appears content during his stay at the home.

My father and stepmother have been residents at the Willows for a number of months. I have been very grateful for the help and support that the home has provided for my parents and it has been a source of great comfort that I have been able to rely on the staff at a time when they have been in most
need. The staff do a fantastic job and work very hard to provide the best possible care for their guests. The facilities in the Willows are very good; my parents both have lovely rooms and the communal areas are well furnished and inviting. When the sun is out there is also a lovely garden. Overall I think the Willows offers a very good standard of care and provides excellent value for money.

In my view, The Willows has given my father excellent care, especially during this Covid lockdown time. The staff have locked down with the residents keeping them as safe as possible. My father is always well looked after, clean and well dressed. We are free to visit any time normally, obviously not
during lockdown restrictions. He is happy there, the staff always cheerful and attentive. We are able to Skype or speak on the phone with him when not able to visit. I know people think care homes expensive, but a lady living near my home pays £400 per week to social services for a thirty-minute breakfast call from carers each morning.

Current Review Score: 9.3 (9.269)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.3 (9.269) out of 10 for The Willows Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 4 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.4 out of 5 from 4 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.894 for The Willows Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (42 Excellents x 5) + (5 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 47 Ratings = 4.894

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4.375 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for The Willows Care Home is based on 4 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.375

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 17 registered maximum number of service users is 3.4, which has been reached with 4 Positive reviews. Points = 1

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
