The Manager and the staff at Landona made my mum’s recuperation stay very comfortable and pleasant. They were so kind to her and she was so grateful for the way she was looked after. It was a relief to know she was being looked after so well with kindness and dignity. Thank you all.

Much appreciated that mum was in a caring, friendly, and family environment. All staff led by an excellent manager were always caring, patient, and helpful to both residents and visitors. Quick to deal with health issues, kept me well informed, and provided much comfort to mum in her final days. Understandable
covid restriction made visiting difficult but the manager was helpful at adapting to mums circumstances. Sadly mum deteriorated quite quickly so unable to participate in numerous activities provided, but was thrilled with the pom pom she made - pictures on Facebook to prove it!.

My father was a resident in Landona from February to July 10th 2021. Without exception every single member of staff, including chefs, cleaners and carers is absolutely exceptional. Each member of staff ensures that at all times residents are treated with respect and dignity. The overwhelming feel of
the care home is one of 'family', one big family. Each resident is valued and treated as an individual.
The care is exception, professional and team members carry out their duties with a smile on their faces.
I could not have wished for a better place for my father to end his days. He did more 'living' in the last 5 months of his life than he had in the last 5 years.
Activities that residents truly enjoy are well thought out, very worthwhile. My father particularly enjoyed the music-based activities and it is clear from the photographs (particularly on the Landona Facebook page) that he was frequently the 'disco boogie' king ie the only one on his feet dancing to the music!

My late mother stayed at Landona House from January 2020 until January 2021. The care she received during this time was exceptional. The home has a lovely friendly atmosphere with regular activities put on for the residents. It was unfortunate that my mother's stay, however, fell at the same time as
COVID and as a result, we were unable to visit as often. We would like to thank, in particular, the home's manager for his genuine compassion, care and all the help and support he gave at that difficult time.

My Uncle went to Landona - initially for emergency respite - eventually staying almost 3 months. Nothing was too much trouble for the amazing staff at Landona. The food, the entertainment and the cleanliness were impeccable. Above all else though, where Landona really comes into its own, is the feeling
of homeliness and warmth. The staff are all so compassionate and friendly - not only with their residents but with their families alike. I cannot recommend them highly enough to anyone looking for a homely and friendly environment where they will receive top-quality nursing care. Moreover, you can be assured that in our experience, residents will also be treated with respect and dignity and their wishes always be listened to.

I have found the care delivered to my father to be exceptional. He is always well presented. It has been a difficult time during Covid-19, not being able to visit him as we would normally. However, all efforts have been made to allow contact with my father, either via telephone or through the window.
I have always observed staff to be wearing the appropriate PPE, and yet maintain a caring and familiar relationship with my father. He lost weight prior to admission, he has since gained and says that the food is lovely. I cannot thank the Management, Activities Coordinator and Care Staff enough for all they do.

Visiting as a volunteer before lockdown. Staff are very caring and kind and very understanding, under sometimes difficult situations. Food looks and smells wonderful! Lots of fun and laughter while some games were played by the activities lady. Overall, a real home from home.

3 years ago my brother, who was in need of care in a residential home, went to reside at Landona House. In the intervening years and thanks to the quality of care and the dedication of the staff that he received his life has been transformed.
My last visit and review was in March 2020 prior to the
government lockdown when Landona House took precautions to suspend family visits to protect the residents and staff. During this time they have continued to be in touch with me and have arranged telephone calls so I could communicate with my brother.
Last week, July 2020, thanks to a new Gazebo located in the garden it was made possible for me to have a face to face visit with my brother, it was so reassuring to see him so well and happy.
Thank you to all the staff at Landona House.

My father lived at Landona for about one year. He felt safe and secure and called it home.
It was very difficult for us as a family during his last weeks before passing but we wanted my father to stay at Landona and it was the right decision as the care given towards my father was excellent, he was
treated with dignity and he must have felt loved. As a family we were given support and care, nothing was too much trouble.

Have found my mother's placement to be caring and helpful. Have kept me informed about changes in Mom's health i.e., calling doctor or monitoring of changes in her health. They have been very responsive when it was discovered, by myself and sibling, that mother had defecated on her toilet seat and had
soiled pants. My mother is eating end enjoys her food, and she is complimentary of the food as opposed to 'damming' another environments food.

The only fault with today's visit was the dreadful smell of urine in the sitting room. It hits you as soon as you opened the door. Very unpleasant.

My Mother was at Landona House from October 2017 until her death there in June 2018. She always received excellent care from the care staff and the arrival of an activities organiser in January 2018 made a real difference to the daily life at the home. I could not fault the care my Mother was given
on the last few days of her life - she had come to know the staff well, trusted them, and felt safe and secure with them.

My father was placed into Landona House at very short notice, leading up to Christmas. Although being rushed, sufficient information was received about Landona and a visit was also made to the home, prior to the placement. It took my father a while to settle, but the staff coped very well with this
and have worked well with him since. He is a proud man and can be very stubborn at times, again the staff have supported him very well. My father has had several falls at Landona house, none of these can be apportioned blameworthy to Landona. During all these incidents, the family have been kept fully informed at all times.

Cannot speak highly enough of management and all care staff; also others who are employed there in whatever capacity. Everyone at Landona House goes the "extra mile". Landona House is a truly family home where each resident is given exceptional love and consideration. In the last few hours before my

The most important part is that my mother is happy and safe.
She enjoys he food. She appears clean and her hair is done regularly.
The staff are friendly and helpful. There was an excellent Christmas carol service in December, also a dog visiting service which my mother enjoyed. Music is important.

We feel so lucky to have found such a wonderful care home. The manager and staff, without exception, are fantastic. My mum was nervous about going into a care home for 3 days respite care - however, after only two days she decided she wanted to extend her stay and ended up staying for 2 weeks!


We

visited Mum daily at all different times of the day and on each occasion, we were made to feel so very welcome (day or night). Staff were always willing to discuss with us how Mum was doing and were extremely supportive with us over our concerns about her dementia. The knowledge, patience and care given were very reassuring.


Both Mum and our family felt so at home at Landona House right from the moment we walked in and nothing was too much trouble or effort for the team.


The activities and entertainment for the residents are good and help to maintain a fun, happy, safe environment. After her two week respite stay, Mum went home looking and feeling stronger and healthier and now, when the time comes, is happy to go to Landona as a permanent resident - something we feel very comforted by.

Since then I have been promoted to deputy manager where I have furthered my knowledge extensively which as a result has led me to be an active positive and structured team leader where I actively support the staff and ensure we deliver a high standard of care to our residents who reside at our home.
