It is always a hard, difficult decision to make when choosing a New care home where you feel your mother will settle, be taken care of and fingers crossed she can make some new friends. After all you want is for her to be happy, feel safe, comfortable and be herself. This is Her Home at the end of the day, we just support her. Peace of mind goes a very long way. Thank you for this really heartfelt review from myself and the team. It is not an easy decision to make in the beginning as this is not what anyone wants. We all want to grow old in the safety of our own homes with family around us so when that decision is made you have to feel that you have sought the best care possible and from what you say "you have". We strive in providing a service that caters for the individual, by involving the family/relatives and service user to achieve the very best outcome for them. We have a person-centred approach offering the individual privacy dignity and respect at all times while allowing them the freedom to express themselves. We want them to feel safe and cared for as well as part of a larger social group. "Living their best life". So when we receive a review such as yours, it feels like we are doing things right - after all this is "their home". The fact that you wouldn't hesitate in recommending us to others says it all. It was fantastic to read your review, and we are all very pleased as a team that you and your family member are happy with High Lodge Care Home.
It is such an important and very hard decision to make when choosing a home for your loved ones and for you to say that you found this "Gem" says it all.
As a home, we strive to provide a 5-star service remembering that this is not our home but the residents home and we are here to support and protect them, treating them with privacy, dignity and respect at all times while encouraging them to remain as independent as they can.
We operate an open and transparent culture, and always listen to suggestions to improve our service.
This is also great for other people to read who find themselves in the situation when trying to find that special home. Thank you once again for taking the time to leave this review, it means so much to the whole team to know we are doing things right for the good of our resident's health and well being.
