My mother was only a resident for the last 8 weeks of her life, but she thought it was heaven on earth. She enjoyed the “exceptional meals” but more than that she thought all the staff, from management, carers, cooks and cleaners were exceptional in their devotion to the residents. Whilst it breaks
my heart she is no longer with us, I take pride in the knowledge that she spent her final weeks in this outstanding establishment. A very personal “thank you” to all involved in my mother's care.

Reply from Angela Walker, Deputy Manager at Beechcroft House

Thank you for your kind words.
The staff here at Beechcroft are very dedicated to caring for all our residents, no matter how briefly this may be and to hear appreciation for all their hard work is such a boost during such a challenging, difficult time.
Your mum was well thought of and deeply missed by all.

We were so lucky for my Grandma to be looked after at Beechcroft for the last three years.
The quality of the care was outstanding. She really didn't want to go into a home even though at 95 the time was absolutely right for her to get the kind of 24/7 care that she needed.
Even though strongly independent
she quickly settled into the home and saw it as her home.
The staff went out of their way to look after her. The manager and the team really made her time there feel personal and she developed real affectionate bonds with staff members which was so important.
The standards of cleanliness and food were great, but most importantly the genuine care and kindness of the staff always shone through.
I'm so grateful my Grandma got to spend her final years here.

After visiting friends in Care Homes my Mum hated the idea of ever being in one. But 4 years ago after treatment in hospital following a fall, she was accepted into Beechcroft House, and within a few weeks had really settled in, enjoying the company of residents and staff. The present staff are very
approachable and cheerfully go about their duties and beyond with excellent care, and provide stability and comfort for mum who enjoys the food which sometimes is specially prepared for her. I am very happy with their handling of this frightful pandemic.

Reply from Angela Walker, Deputy Manager at Beechcroft House

Thank you for your kind review, I am pleased to be part of a team who strive to go above and beyond to ensure the comfort and well being of the people in their care, and why I feel such pride when someone shows appreciation. Once again, many thanks.

Can't thank the staff at Beechcroft House enough for the care and support they have provided for my Nanna over the past few years and recently during the coronavirus pandemic. They closed their doors to visitors way ahead of government guidance and staff have put residents first before anything else
to keep everyone safe. The way they have made it possible for us to continue to see our Nanna in a safe way during the pandemic is wonderful, and I want to give a special mention to the staff members for going above and beyond for making special and safe arrangements so that we could celebrate my Nanna's 100th birthday.

Thank you for your review. It's always good to hear appreciation for all our staff who endeavour to keep Beechcroft safe and happy for both residents and visitors alike. Plus it was a pleasure to help celebrate such an iconic milestone.

The staff at Beechcroft House have been absolutely amazing throughout lockdown, by always putting residents first. The management were especially helpful by helping us to celebrate our nan's 100th, whilst maintaining social distancing and safety. We can't thank you all enough, and appreciate everything
that's being done so we can still visit and see our nan (even if it means us standing in the rain sometimes!!!).

Reply from Angela, Deputy Manager at Beechcroft House

Many thanks for your review. Our staff works hard to keep Beechcroft safe and comfortable for all our residents so to hear that we are getting it right is great and a real morale boost.
PS it's always fun to help someone celebrate a birthday, especially such a special one.

My mother has been a resident for the last four years. Families are always worried and full of concern when their parents have to go into care but my mother settled in immediately. In terms of her well being there was an immediate improvement due to the care provided and this has remained the case ever
since. My cousin who is a professional career and a retired ward sister when visiting my mother asked her in private if she was happy. She replied yes as she was very content and had no worries. One of the benefits of Beechcroft that we have found is the stability of their staff who get to know the residents very well which creates a very relaxed and contented atmosphere.
During the last four years, I have never had a cause to feel at all concerned about my mother's welfare.
Beechcroft House closed its doors to visitors very early on in the Covid crisis and has benefited in having no cases of Covid-19.

Thank you for your review. Our staff strive to make Beechcroft a safe and happy place for all our residents, and it is nice to receive positive feedback that we are doing a great job, especially during this difficult time.

Mum was transferred to Beechcroft House from the County Hospital, Stafford for respite care following a fall resulting in a broken hip and subsequent operation. Mum made sufficient progress after a month residing at Beechcroft to return to her own home. Her progress was due to both her own determination
to return home and also because of the excellent care mum received from all the staff at Beechcroft House. The positive support and encouragement from the staff helped her rehabilitation and her appetite was reawakened due to the good home cooked food. Both my sister and I thank the staff for all their hard work.
