Situated in a tranquil rural setting close to Great Wyrley, WatersEdge Care Home is ideally located just four miles from Walsall town centre with all its amenities. The home is close to good transport links and with easy access to public transport, residents are able to get out and about.

WatersEdge Care Home provides a range of care for those at the home, including residential care, dementia care, and respite care and short stays.

The home is set in a two-storey purpose-built care home which offers a large communal lounge, dining rooms on each floor and a number of facilities including a café and even a pub. All rooms at the home have en-suite facilities and are spacious and luxurious. WatersEdge also boasts a secure, enclosed landscaped garden which is dementia friendly and can be enjoyed all year round.

The team of staff is dedicated, experienced and committed to providing high quality care to residents. Individual needs are striven to be met in a warm, homely environment.

The home believes that residents and visitors to WatersEdge should see, hear and feel that they are ‘at home’. As such, residents are encouraged to lead as normal and as active life as they wish, with activities ranging from family visits to various trips out whenever possible.

Have found the staff at WatersEdge to be extremely caring and will go the extra mile. My mother greatly enjoys the activities that are organised and I do not think she could be in a better residential placement.

Very approachable and friendly staff and management. Every effort has been made to welcome my aunt to the home and help her settle in. Menu and catering preferences have been delivered and all visitors from the family have commented on how nice and clean the home is. Whilst early days I think my aunt
is as happy as she can be with her now home, she is certainly appreciative of the support and care and how well treated she is.

On the whole, my experience of living at WatersEdge Care Home is very good. Much better than my previous home. Most of the staff show me respect, care and have a very professional approach to my medical and social needs. Some staff are excellent while others are just good but there are no poor carers.
the management is excellent and SO ARE the catering staff, cleaners, laundry and activity people. I consider myself at 'home' now, I didn't feel that before in the other home. Thank you all!

My husband has come into this care home and we both think it's fantastic! The manager is extremely attentive and caring, all of the staff are wonderful (especially the senior care worker). It's warm and homely, the food is excellent, the entertainment is great, all in all, 10 out of 10!

This was by far the best Care Home we had seen. Modern, purpose-built, with clean and well-maintained facilities, it provides a warm and welcoming environment for elderly residents.
The rooms are on L-shaped corridors on two floors. Spacious dining rooms and lounges on both floors are conveniently
positioned for residents with mobility problems. On the ground floor, there is a hair salon regularly used by residents, and a "cafe" decorated in seaside-style with its own kitchen. The cafe provides access to a fine (recently) landscaped garden where residents and visitors can sit or stroll.


The management and staff are unfailingly helpful and caring towards the residents and visitors. Hygiene and cleanliness are maintained to a high standard. There is a well-organised programme of activities and entertainment throughout the year for residents.


We have been totally satisfied with the quality of care our mother has received during the eighteen months she has been a resident.

With reference to WatersEdge Care Home, I found that all the staff are very, very caring. Nothing is too much trouble. Residents are given choice of meals and the menu changes monthly. It is very clean everywhere and there is plenty of entertainment, singers, etc. coming regularly. Can't think of anything
negative to say except the parking.

After a stressful time in hospital recovering from a fall, our long term friend has now settled into WatersEdge and we are more than happy with her care. At first, because the surroundings and faces were not familiar, she was unsettled but after several weeks she is now very comfortable and contented.
She is at home with the staff and I would recommend any family and friends to stay here.


A programme of activities and entertainment is in place to stimulate the residents and we have seen first-hand the work and efforts put in. All staff, without exception, are polite, efficient and caring. They are happy to answer any questions about our friend. Excellent home.

My family and I want to say a huge thank you, to every one of the staff, at Water's Edge. Since my Auntie moved to live there, everyone has been so kind and caring. I know for certain that she is in good hands, and I am kept informed about every aspect concerning her.
I was extremely worried about
my Auntie, prior to her being accepted in Water's Edge, as following her broken leg, and stays in various hospitals, her weight had plummeted and her spirits were low. She now has gained weight, eats well and is much more settled and happy. Her singing "I Believe" at a party there, made my day, as she was a member of several choirs, and it has been a long time since I heard her sing!
Thank you, all of you, for your care and consideration and your genuine feelings for her. Your work, care and facilities are excellent all round.

Job Title: Deputy Care Home Manager

Joined: 2019

Leanne started her career at Alpha Health Care within Lakeview Care Home over 7 years ago. Since moving across from Lakeview to be part of Waters Edge’s team in September 2019 Leanne has worked tirelessly to support and work with the Waters Edge team to provide exceptional person-centred care to our residents.


Leanne’s previous experience of working within our Complex Dementia service and the training and experience gained in progressing from Carer to Senior Carer has helped create a real connection, empathy and understanding of the unique care and behavioural needs of individuals with dementia.
