I greatly admire the professionalism and dedication of all the staff who cheerfully care for the residents showing compassion and patience. The home-cooked food is excellent, with choices each day and there are also always freshly baked cakes and delicious puddings. Visitors are welcomed with a smile
and there has been regular entertainment and classes such as movement therapy.

Mum has been a resident for two years and has had a difficult time health-wise but the staff have been very supportive and Mum is now very settled and content and enjoying her time at The Elms. The staff are excellent and very caring.

My grandfather has been a resident at The Elms since January and in this time, the staff and manager have treated him with respect, compassion and dignity. Their care is to an extremely high standard and my grandfather seems very happy and has settled in extremely well. The food, care, activities and
other facilities are excellent and I would recommend The Elms very highly. Thank you to the manager and your team for all you do.

Absolutely love The Elms and the staff. The Elms has a home-from-home feel and is a lovely relaxed environment with caring, empathetic staff. The level of care is fantastic and is person-centred and employs a holistic as well as care aspect to service users. Management is directly involved with residents
and their care and is present to residents and also amendable and supporting to residents' family members. Food and activity options are also wide, varied and with residents' needs in mind at the forefront. Exceptional standards at The Elms.

Mum was transferred from the hospital for an assessment. I was delighted when she was assessed and I was informed she was to stay at The Elms. It's such a clean, caring, friendly place to visit. All the staff are helpful and the management are brilliant. I can't fault them. Thank you.

The Elms provide excellent care. My mother has dementia and her behaviour can sometimes be challenging but the staff treat her with patience, empathy and dignity. The standard of cleanliness is excellent and the food outstanding.

My mother has been a resident at the Elms since 2016. In that time there have been many changes but the one constant has been the excellent care that she has received. Nothing is ever too much trouble. The door is always open promptly and with a smile. A drink is always offered regardless of the time
of day as is lunch if you are there. Activities are varied either in the house or third party and are well received by the residents. Food choice is good and varied.

Since coming to the Elms my grandfather has settled in very well. He is very happy with the help he receives and enjoys the food. He is able to keep his independence and asks for help if required. All the staff are very friendly and the manager is always on hand to assist with any enquiries. He benefits
from regular haircuts, chiropody and health checks. It is peace of mind for the family.

I came to stay at The Elms to be with my husband for two weeks whilst getting over a fall. I found all the staff very helpful, kind, and patient and couldn't do enough for you. I would certainly recommend The Elms to anyone.

The carers were attentive but on occasion, they took a bit too long to get to me. The room was kept clean and tidy. Washing was done promptly and clothes returned ironed. Unfortunately, when meals were taken in the bedroom they were not always as hot as I would have liked. Cups of tea often lukewarm.

My dad moved here after a short stay in hospital. Initially, we planned to move him closer to us. but he has settled so well, that we have decided he will stay here for now. The staff, management and residents at the home are so kind and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. During a recent illness
while at the home, the staff were amazing and went above and beyond to care for him. There is a lovely big garden that has been perfect for the great summer weather. Regular activities and entertainment is provided for residents. Meals are of a very good standard and his room is clean and comfortable. Thank you to all staff, caring is a difficult job, but you all do a great job.

Like everybody, I am highly protective of my Mum who, until recently, had been fiercely independent. For me, putting her in a care home was a gut-wrenching final last resort. I was so worried about her on her first day, it was like sending your child to school for the first day. I kept calling up to
check if she was OK. I have to say, very quickly within a couple of days, my worries subsided, this was totally due to the incredibly dedicated staff at the Elms. Mum is confused and gets very agitated and awkward, the staff on all levels were fantastic, professional, patient and genuinely cared. Extra credit must go to the homeowner who has gone above and beyond to care for Mum. Her gentle, persistent, kindness has helped Mum to gain confidence and learn she can make friends, even at her age. I have no hesitation in recommending this home to your loved ones. Exceptional!

The staff are very friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble. I am informed regularly about my Mums health. The hairdressing is excellent as Mum loves to have her hair done. She had her hair done every week and new covid restrictions have all but gone its nice for her to get back to her old routine.

My mother-in-law has settled in well. She is happy and looks more like her old self each time we visit. It is a relief to know that she is being looked after and is safe 24/7. Everyone at The Elms is always welcoming, and nothing is too much trouble.

The care that my mother gets is good. The staff communicate well. The food is well prepared, nutritious with choices to suit Mother's varying taste and appetite. Attention to personal hygiene could be better, nails and teeth often appear to lack sufficient care, though I appreciate her condition/diagnosis
makes personal hygiene and compliance with requests too cooperative and difficult.

I cannot praise the care home enough. They have looked after my mother who will be 98 this year and has health issues for 3 1/2 years. During that time the staff have always been very caring, attentive and have addressed all her needs without question. The care home is clean, safe, cosy and a friendly
atmosphere prevails throughout. The home is well managed, the residents well looked after, the food is good and plentiful and there is a number of activities and entertainment organised to keep the residents stimulated. There has been much adverse publicity given to care homes of late but The Elms is an exception - a "shining light" and example to others!

Thank goodness we chose this care home for Mum. There is no other place I would want her to be. The staff are amazing with Mum, as I know, at times, she can be very difficult with her dementia, especially of late. they treat her with love, respect and dignity. An awesome care home. I will always be

The carers are always polite and helpful. I am kept informed about my father-in-law’s health and general situation. I feel confident that my father-in-law is well looked after and enjoys a good standard of living in the home. The home itself is bright, clean and well maintained.

The staff make this care home truly a home away from home. Their dedication to their duties is faultless. My mother was in a different care home for several years, prior to moving into The Elms. The difference in the two homes is massive with The Elms being 5* against the previous one, being one star.
Mum was not very well when admitted to The Elms but the top-quality care, wonderful yummy, hearty nutritious meals and encouragement and friendship from staff, has made an amazing difference. It has been a very difficult year but the whole team of staff have made my mum's life as good as possible, whilst embracing the many restrictions. I truly believe that had my mum not changed homes, I would be dealing with a very different scenario. If I was asked to rate The Elms, I would rate it 100%. The management is outstanding.
