Coming up to a year that we had to make the very difficult decision that the level of care needed for my mum was beyond our family's capability. We dropped her off in the middle of a pandemic and just had to wave her off so upsetting for all involved. A difficult year on for all I would like to thank
and praise the staff for all their hard work, dedication and the level of care given. The staff during this time advised me to move her down into the extra care of the dementia unit. She has thrived in this caring and specialist environment. I couldn't have wished for a better place for my mum the staff are so caring and dedicated to treating the residents with full respect and compassion. Today's visit was truly heartwarming I spoke at length to the lead carer about dementia, she was very knowledgeable, spoke with passion and care putting my worries to bed. The carer was energetic, engaging and compassionate as we danced sang and laughed. My mum is happy so amazing thank you all.

My partners mum has been at Fairfield for a couple of years now; she settled in really well, and the staff have been amazing since day one. Throughout the Covid pandemic, they have been brilliant. We could have FaceTime with my mother-in-law, so we were able to keep in contact regularly, also once visiting
started again, we have been able to see her nearly every week in the Covid safe cottage - it’s just brilliant! We couldn’t have asked for any more from the staff; they are all doing an amazing job! To know my mother-in-law is so well looked after is great. Thank you!

Having visited several care homes for other family members this one is the best.
The staff are very friendly and welcoming.
With the Covid restrictions in place they have made visiting easy. Their kindness and caring is beyond words.

The staff could not be more helpful and accommodating, nothing but nothing is too much trouble for them to arrange for my visits, even in these difficult Covid-19 times. Contacting the resident is easy and she is treated with care and dignity at all times, day or night. I'm kept continually informed
as to her daily activities and access to the management team to discuss her care and progress is operated on an open door policy. I am the sort of person that likes to have information on a regular basis and sometimes on a necessary basis, my requests have always been accommodated. Events take place regularly and my resident looks forward to them, they are obviously stimulating and enjoyable. At last, I can sleep well without having to worry. Thank you, excellent work!

Mum moved into Fairfield in February following a fall at Christmas, her dementia had progressed. The staff have been so helpful and welcoming from day one. Mum has settled in really well. We have the relative's gateway app which enables us to look daily at how mums day has gone and see what she is eating
and drinking. We have been so lucky that we have still been able to visit mum during the pandemic in the garden cottage, something I personally found helpful. We haven't actually been able to enter the home due to the circumstances but from what mum says her room is lovely, and the staff are constantly going into her checking she's ok. The manager, care coordinators, receptionist, and the lady who does the fundraising are so lovely and friendly nothing seems too much trouble. We found it a difficult decision to move mum from her home but now realise we couldn't have found anywhere better for her.

My mum has been a resident at Fairfield house for two years. From the moment she arrived, she has received the best possible care. The staff are very dedicated and nothing is too much trouble. They are led by an equally dedicated and efficient management team. Also, they go to great trouble for special
occasions, including residents birthdays, Christmas, Valentine's day and Easter amongst others. Every resident gets a present. They are well looked after in every way. The home is kept very clean and clothes are well laundered. The food is also fantastic. You always get such a warm welcome when you enter the reception of Fairfield house. I would urge anyone to consider this care home for their relative.

The staff are so caring. We understand that no one will care for our Nan like we do but during this pandemic, the staff have been like family. They contact us regularly when she’s unwell and keep us informed when needed. We visit every week and the staff are amazing with my Nan. They are the careers
that bring her to our isolated visits and are both so caring and kind to both her and us. They go above and beyond to help us. The lady in reception is always helpful when we need help with payments etc. The manager is always approachable and will return our calls if we have any concerns. Other staff have also supported us as a family with the loss of our grandad who was a resident that passed away to Covid last year. On the day of his funeral, my Nan was unable to attend which was heartbreaking but his body came past the home so my Nan could say her goodbyes and all the staff came out with masks and socially distanced to wave him off which was so lovely. Thank you Fairfield!

We wanted to say a big thank you to the team at Fairfield for helping us celebrate our Grandma's 90th birthday. Given the difficult circumstances, we are all facing at the moment, for you and your team to make time to help us see her face to face in the Gateway room was fantastic. All safe and sound
following the COVID rules, the facility was perfect, and we can see why it used constantly for other residents and families. We appreciate so much your care and attention for her, and we can see she is in very safe hands. I think she enjoyed the birthday cake, tea and a couple of sherries on her special occasion.

My dad came into Fairfield for respite while my mum recovered from a fall, but we later required this could be made permanent as my dad had Alzheimer’s and he needed care. His care and experience throughout his time at Fairfield was wonderful. The carers, environment, food and general well-being were
outstanding.
My dad moved into 'end-of-life' care and again, the quality of care, compassion and dignity provided by Fairfield was simply outstanding and very reassuring to me and my mum. We called every day, no matter what time of the day, they could not be more helpful and kept us updated with the condition of my dad right down to his last breath. I can't speak highly enough of Fairfield and their whole team.

My brother passed at your facility on April 6, 2020. I wanted to express my gratitude to your staff for caring for him over the past few years. He was relaxed and happy at Fairfield. I live in Victor Harbor, South Australia, and being so far away from him, it was comforting to know he was content and
was being well looked after. Thank you, and keep safe in these uncertain times.
P.S. A cousin of mine is also at Fairfield and I had another cousin pass away there, our family is well acquainted with Fairfield!

My mother became a resident two years ago receiving Dementia care. Her care and experience throughout her entire time at Fairfield was wonderful. The carers, environment, food and general well-being were outstanding.
My mother moved into 'end-of-life' care and again, the quality of care, compassion
and dignity provided by Fairfield was simply outstanding and very reassuring to me and all of my family. I can't speak highly enough of Fairfield and their whole team.

How lucky were we to get Mom into this lovely care home. Our family had to make the tough decision for mom to go into care. Fairfields is a lovely caring home mom could not be better looked after. She is treated with dignity and respect just what we wanted for her. We are also treated like family, visiting
anytime we want and made to feel very welcome. We feel like we are visiting Mom in her own home were able to make tea and relax with her. All the staff with no exception are lovely pleasant people always smiling and always have time to answer any questions we may have and putting our minds at ease.Nothing is too much trouble. We cannot put into words how grateful we are to these lovely caring people. Sincere thanks to you all

Job Title: Home Manager

Joined: 2009

I'm the Home Manager for Fairfield and have been with WCS Care since 2009.


In my time at WCS, I’ve applied my skills in a variety of roles from using my catering knowledge in my first role as a Caterer to being an Administrator/PA, Care Co-ordinator and Care Manager before becoming Home Manager in 2019.


In my spare time, I love spending time with family and travelling abroad.
