St Joseph's Residential Care Home in Coleshill opened in 2002.

The home is split into four wings and three of these specialise in dementia care.

Each wing has personalised bedrooms with en-suite facilities.

Care is provided by a motivated and compassionate staff team who are well trained and experienced in what they do. They are on hand 24 hours a day to provide residents with the help and support they need.

The care home encourages the involvement of family and friends.

Singers, dancers, florists, exercise instructors and others all drop in to provide a stimulating variety of things to do.

St Joseph’s has a chapel, a small hairdressing salon and a shop for a variety of everyday items, sweets and chocolates.

Pretty, landscaped gardens wrap around the home and are always available for residents and visitors to take a stroll in.

Mum receives personalised care from a team of carers who show her respect and dignity. Due to dementia, Mum can be very challenging and she needs carers who are skilled in how they approach her and manage those behaviours. They always show kindness and good humour to my mum and other residents. As I
visit most days at different times I can be confident in saying the care is consistently good at all times. The care leads and manager is always willing to discuss any issues or look at different ways to manage Mum's care to overcome the symptoms/complications of severe dementia. I would recommend the home to families searching for a home for their relatives.

My mother-in-law was moved from the hospital to another care setting for assessment. During her time there we saw very little improvement so we moved her to St Joseph's. It's early days but she already seems more settled. They have treated her water retention and sores, had a memory test done and treated
her low moods. All in a week when neither the hospital or the previous home had in over 8 weeks.

St Joseph's provides a first-class service along with a level of care for their residents, that is second to none.
The rooms and communal areas are cleaned to an excellent standard and the catering team provides a varied and healthy diet to meet all the dietary needs of the residents.

Our whole family are very pleased with the way my mother-in-law has been and is still being cared for. All of the staff are extremely pleasant and helpful at all times. They will go above and beyond to ensure we as a family are aware of care, needs and plans etc. The interaction with all patients is

Our mother was welcomed into St Josephs on 1/2/24 - she was very distressed - the management and staff were truly wonderful, making her welcome and reassuring her. Offering genuine and caring support to us her family at a very distressing time. What a fantastic team of carers you are. We thank you so

St Joseph's Residential Care Home appears to be a really warm, welcoming place. My aunty seems to be as happy as she can be there. The staff are always friendly. It is difficult, I appreciate, to motivate the residents, but every time we visit, my aunty is usually in bed, and I have not known her to
be involved in any activities. The Christmas meal activity was very nice though. Your staff need to answer the phone more.

St Joseph's is a happy and caring environment. We are confident that Mum is safe and well looked after. The staff try to support mum's needs in a way that suits her and often have to cope with her getting cross when she is unwilling to accept help or direction. They do this with a smile on their faces
and don't take it personally! Family always feel welcome when we visit and any concerns we raise are listened to and acted on, communication via telephone/email is good when necessary to inform us of urgent or non-urgent actions needed.

The care my mother received his excellent. She is supported constantly with all physical needs and careful attention is paid to health and medical welfare. She is treated with affection and humour, which she loves. The facility is always extremely clean and pleasant, and activities are offered regularly.
My mother sometimes, being deaf, finds it difficult to understand one or two of the staff and I would ask that they speak more slowly. It is not a question of a foreign accent, only the speed of speech for someone with dementia and hearing problems.

This is an excellent care home, the best I have seen. Very caring and attentive staff. Pleasant building with very comfortable rooms. Very good food. Would strongly recommend to other families seeking a care home for a loved one.

Mum went into St Joseph’s for a respite admission, which has now been extended. She looks happy and well cared for. Yesterday, she had been to the hairdressers and had her nails painted, looking very well when I visited. The staff are kind, friendly and the manager has been so helpful and very responsive
to all our questions and concerns. St Joseph’s is spotlessly clean. It’s reassuring knowing Mum is safe and looked after.

My mom-in-law resides at St Josephs. Her care and daily life at the home is wonderful. Residents are very well looked after, food is excellent and there are plenty of opportunities to take part in activities each day. Relatives are kept well informed. Well done, St Josephs.

My mom is on Jade wing, one of the four wings provided at St Joseph's. Personally I think providing four wings makes for a more close and personal environment which benefits each resident. The carers on Jade are all absolutely dedicated to looking after each person, including my mom. Over the time Mom
has been on Jade I’ve got to know the 'girls' as I call them very well, they make the unit such a happy and loving place to live.
I’ve seen such love and kindness shown to all the ladies by each carer. Entertainment is provided for all the residents and I think this is such an important part of everyone’s well being; summer parties, bonfire night and Christmas lunches are always fun and the food provided by the chef is second to none. So well done to you all, keep up the fantastic work you do.

Couldn’t have Mum in a better home. The staff go above and beyond, one of the staff even came in on her day off to drive the car to take Mum out. They are extremely caring and are passionate about their jobs. Mum is very happy and settled at St Joseph’s.

My mom has been at St Joseph's for just over a year now. I cannot praise the staff enough the care they give is second to none.
I like that there are the same consistent staff on all shifts. It gives me peace of mind knowing that Mom is safe and well cared for.
They have a good amount of activities
for the residents and know they are working hard to have more. The food is always lovely. The rooms are always very clean.

Moving my father into St Joseph's has transformed his life, as well as that of us, his close family.
Bed-bound for ten months and unable to leave the house for eighteen months, he is no longer bed-bound. He sits for periods of time with the other residents of Ruby Wing and, just yesterday, enjoyed
a trip out to the local High Street. Just one month ago, we never thought this would be possible, and quite simply, it is all down to the 'can do' outlook, which runs through the veins of the staff at St Joseph's.
We feel assured, every single day, that he is in safe hands and will be treated with the highest level of dignity, a word that sits firmly within the DNA of this outstanding care home.

The care Mom received at St Joseph’s Residential Care Home was second to none; she was made welcome and comfortable from the moment she arrived. The management team were efficient, knowledgeable and compassionate. The staff on Topaz were welcoming and did so much for her in the short time that she had
left. On the day that she died, there was someone with her holding her hand when we weren’t there. Highly recommended.
