The Limes is situated just a few minutes walk from Stratford-upon-Avon's town centre, There are local services, shops and public transport all within easy reach.

The home offers long-term and respite care for older people in a welcoming and homely environment that is made up of two households. Offering independent living with the benefit of care just a call away, each household includes a lounge, dining space and kitchenette. The hub of the household, the lounges are the ideal space for residents to socialise together or welcome their friends and families.

They also use night-time acoustic monitoring to improve the health and wellbeing of the people living with them.

The team plans a range of activities and events to suit residents' varied interests and hobbies. As part of the activity provision, WCS Care employs dedicated Community Musicians who deliver one-to-one or group music-based activities. And their Memory Maker minibus provides regular, local trips for residents, including those who need to use a wheelchair. They invite relatives to join the trips so families can make new memories together.

I was really struggling to cope with my mother's care needs after 12+ years. I realised that she needed more help than I could offer. Everyone at The Limes is very attentive to the needs of my mother and goes out of their way to make her feel like a friend. I would recommend The Limes to everyone! Really
kind people, friendly surroundings and a central Stratford location.

I have been visiting my friend since visits were permitted (before lockdown I could visit in her room every week). She is unfortunately in the early stages of dementia and must have been difficult to begin with but has been treated with excellent care and compassion. Her room is rather small but it
has an en-suite bathroom. It is a pity (but can't be helped) that the surroundings are rather restricted - the garden is small.

6/6 Saw on TV Mo Farrah beat the 3000m. Recovered.
8/6 Entertained by our man and wife (guitar playing and singing) In the afternoon a NHS nurse visited for annual review, my daughter and son-in-law were present and we held the meeting in the garden sunshine.
16/6 We were entertained by a trio.
Two ladies and a gent, sopranos, flute and keyboard, very talented.
17/6 We held an open day and celebrated the Queen's birthday and Shakespeare 400 years. I dressed up as Shakespeare.
3/7 My other daughter and her husband visited. We attended the River Festival on the Avon. Lots of narrow boats.

Job Title: Home Manager

Joined: 2004

I’m the Home Manager at The Limes and have been with WCS Care since 2004.


I have worked at The Limes throughout my time at WCS, starting out as a Care Manager before becoming Home Manager. My role as Home Manager involves the daily running of the home - ensuring all our residents are cared for as best as possible and our colleagues are well supported.


What I love about working at WCS Care is that I feel I can make a difference in people’s lives. Even if it’s as simple as putting smiles on our residents’ faces, that’s a special accomplishment for me.
