An easy, 10-minute walk from the centre of this beautiful market town, Low Furlong is ideally situated with easy access to the countryside, as well as the convenience of nearby shops. With historic Stratford-upon-Avon a mere 15 minutes away by car, this well-appointed and welcoming care home enjoys the benefits of a central location but with the calm, quiet charm of semi-rural position.

As part of a modern development, Low Furlong has been planned with the needs of residents very much in mind. All bedrooms feature a very high standard of decoration, including en-suite bathrooms and pleasant views over raised flower beds - premium rooms even boast doors leading out into their own patio or the communal seating area.

Low Furlong is entirely access-friendly throughout with wide, spacious corridors contributing to the bright and airy feel, whilst still ensuring that residents of all levels of mobility can enjoy the freedom to move around in maximum comfort and safety.

The home has been thoughtfully decorated throughout with the inclusion of dementia-friendly colour schemes, as well as both quiet and 'retro' lounges - the latter featuring decoration and furniture from yesteryear, in addition to hand-picked antiques which residents are encouraged to interact with.

The innovative idea of having dedicated street names and individual room numbers allows residents to maintain a personal postage address - enabling individuals to retain their identity and independence whilst still enjoying the benefits of professional care and support.

My mother has been in Low Furlong on respite as she suffers from Alzheimers. The staff and management have been amazing with her, showing patience and devotion to their residents. Food is excellent. Rooms are really well furnished and kept spotlessly clean. Plenty of activities on over Christmas period
which mum enjoyed. Very well run. Outstanding she has now been moved there permanently and we are so pleased she is being so well cared for.

My husband has settled to his new environment very well and quicker than I imagined, this is because he is allowed to be completely himself.
All the staff know him by name without him having to wear a sticky label or a name badge around his neck.
I feel very comfortable going to see him, there is
always a bright cheery welcome from the staff.

Our Mum was cared for at Low Furlong for three years until she sadly passed away at the great age of 96. She was always treated with dignity and respect. The staff provided loving care. The new facilities are excellent. The food was of good quality and thoughtfully presented. It was a comfort to
know she was so well looked after.

My family and I were extremely impressed by how management and staff were so attentive to all residents.
They dealt with my husband (who experiences changing his colostomy bag) with some difficulty with great care and maintained his dignity throughout his stay.

My mum stayed at Low Furlong for six months prior to moving back to Leeds in November 2015 due to her dementia diagnosis. In the time my mum was there I can honestly say that the care and compassion provided by all members of staff to be exemplary and I am personally very grateful to all, as is my mum.
I would not hesitate to recommend Low Furlong to anyone requiring caring/residential care.

Welcome to Low Furlong, our lovely purpose-built home. I am Amie I work at Low Furlong, situated just on the outskirts of the Cotswolds. Recently being appointed Acting Manager.


We provide person-centred care in our beautiful, busy, and bustling home. I have worked in care for over 20 years and truly believe that residents are at the heart of all we do. Everyone that walks through the door at Low Furlong comments on the lovely atmosphere. Low Furlong has strong links and relationships with the local community and strives to create a family feel whilst providing high quality care and a huge range of activities for residents.

Hannah Glennie-Gowers

I'm Hannah. I am the Deputy Manager at Low Furlong.


With 10 years of experience at Low Furlong, I am passionate about helping people get the most out of life and ensuring they enjoy themselves along the way. One of my proudest achievements was setting up the PCS system, contributing to Low Furlong’s outstanding CQC rating.


Outside of work, I am an avid racehorse owner, with my trainer being the renowned Donald McCain (whose father famously trained Red Rum). In my free time, I enjoy both horse racing and darts, balancing a love for competition and sport.

I’m in the process of moving to Shipston and look forward to starting a new chapter there. Outside of work, I enjoy walking my dog, Teddy, who keeps me company on many of my adventures. I’m known for my ever-changing hair, which I like to switch up weekly—right now, it’s bright pink!

I hold an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care and am currently working towards my Level 5 qualification to continue growing professionally in this field. In addition to my dedication to providing excellent care, I enjoy playing rugby and running—activities that keep me active and focused.
