Due to Mum's health issue, she has been in several care homes but we feel we have now found her forever home at Lower Meadow.
We have noticed significant improvements in Mum's mobility and her interactions with staff and other residents. The care home itself is modern, clean and well laid out and there
always seems to be a staff member available to help. There is a lovely community atmosphere and I feel that all the staff are genuinely committed to making their residents feel happy and fulfilled.

I am more than happy for my mother to stay at Lower Meadow. The staff are lovely and very caring. My mother thinks the world of her main carer. My mother has vascular dementia, but I know she is safe and well cared for in there.
She does more since moving into Lower Meadow than she ever did at home.
They have great activities for the residents to join in with, and they actually had a day trip to the seaside!
I would highly recommend Lower Meadow to anyone looking for a home from home for their loved one.

Lower Meadow Care Home, it's amazing staff and management, is a fantastic place for any person requiring help and support. They are welcoming, warm, passionate about their residents and always available to chat. All requests are acted on swiftly, the staff can't do enough for you. A big shout out to
one man who is a fantastic staff member, amazingly approachable, understanding and supportive. The activity programme, fitness sessions, response to resident requests and numerous adventures have brought new vigour to my Father. They ensure happiness, freedom, support, care and laughter. We personalised his room, his routine, his social circle has grown and he is all the better for it. Emotional and nutritional support is fantastic, meals are reported as fabulous and it's been an incredible start to life in residential care. Thank you.

Since Mum has been in Lower Meadow there has been a big improvement, she feels safe and looked after and has put on some weight as she thrives on routine and goes to the dining room every day for lunch at 12.30. My three brothers and I are very happy with her care and the fact that she is more like
Mum again, it has lifted a lot of pressure.

Lower Meadow is such a lovely place with kind and caring staff. Always things going on and the manager is always available to talk to. I’m so glad my mum is there as I know she’s safe and well looked after. It gives me comfort knowing she is being cared for so well.

Dad is getting more frail and elderly, and has encountered more difficulties recently. Everyone at Lower Meadow has been very very caring and professional.
They also ensure a kind and friendly atmosphere. It's a place that's full of life, and their working relationship with NHS services seems excellent.

What a fantastic Care Home. Mum is currently in respite care at Lower Meadow and is receiving wonderful, caring support from everyone at the Home.
The nursing staff display exceptional understanding of Mum's needs which they carry out with extraordinary sensitivity.

From the first moment we made contact with the team at Lower Meadow we received wonderful caring support and help. Mum was due to stay for respite care in October 2022: this date was brought forward at very short notice as it transpired she was needing help sooner mid September. Management and the team
could not have been more helpful, the room was made ready immediately and Mum soon settled thanks to the warmth and friendly welcome she received.
Sadly Mum's health continued to decline and her room became her 'home'. We could not have wished for better and can't thank the team enough for the constant care given. Mum had complex health issues and although physically frail, the staff did all they could to keep her spirits up, involved as possible in activities, happy and safe. Nothing was too much trouble, Mum was well looked after throughout. Lower Meadow is truly a special place, thanks to the care and expertise of all the team.

My father-in-law moved into Lower Meadows 11/04/23. As with all families, it is one of the hardest decisions a family has to make or either have no other choice to do for their loved ones.
It is still very early days as a family we are still yet to fully understand everything that this care home has
to offer the logistics of everything. He has settled in well and is happy. The managers are friendly warm and welcoming- always taking time to speak to us when needed they just want what is best for their residents /care home. All the staff we have met are friendly and caring I must mention his carer she is always smiling so helpful down to earth with such a wonderful caring way about her. We are so thankful that John is in such a caring home. We can’t thank all of the staff enough. It has truly provided us with comfort and assurance knowing he is being cared for in a beautiful safe immaculate happy environment. It’s lovely to hear the music playing in the background when we visit.

My mother stayed with Lower Meadow, Stratford, for respite care. She seemed to enjoy her stay there and we felt that the staff were able to meet her needs, despite my mother speaking limited English. The staff at Lower Meadow were very welcoming and supportive when following my mother's care plan. The

I’ve seen a few care homes in my profession and this is certainly one of the best. Clean, tidy and quiet. I’ve stayed the night with my grandmother and have felt so welcome. Having travelled a long way - I was welcome to shower and even offered a room. I stayed with my Grandmother but the offer was
very much appreciated. The staff have been amazing. Welcoming, friendly, and respectful of both myself and my grandmother. Informative and very caring. I’ve spoken to the Manager a few times and he’s explained the situation and checked on my welfare as well as my grandmothers. Lower Meadow is definitely the kind of care home I hope I would end up in when the time is right. Thank you Lower Meadow team.

Lower Meadow is highly recommended. Very comfortable and purpose-built so everything works well with regards to the rooms, the communal areas and lounges, the equipment and facilities, and security, etc, etc and everywhere always seems to be immaculately clean.


Most important of course, the staff

are absolutely superb - so caring and helpful. My 90-year-old mother is happy there and settled in quickly - she loves all the attention she receives from the friendly and professional staff - nothing ever seems too much trouble for them. Whilst the food is also very good too.

After moving my father from another care home I found Lower Meadow to be a breath of fresh air. I couldn’t ask more of all of the team, from being helped by the Customer Relations Manager with the admission to the rest of the team and the Deputy Manager in particular. Although my dad comes with his
own issues due to his illness all the staff at Lower Meadow go above and beyond. Thank you all, finally I know my dad is being cared for properly.

I began my journey at Lower Meadow 6 years ago now, as a care assistant and with the support of Runwood Homes, I have now successfully managed the home for over 3 years.


I am very proud of the amazing team we have and the quality of care that we provide here. To care for someone is an honour, but, to give them a life here at Lower Meadow, where they laugh, enjoy life and feel loved and cared for, now that is something special.

Hi, I’m Wayne! I’ve been working in maintenance at Lower Meadow for the past year, ensuring that our residents are safe and that the home is always looking their best. I take great pride in my work and am dedicated to keeping everything running smoothly.


One of my proudest achievements is passing all inspections with flying colours, reflecting the high standards I set in everything I do. In my spare time, I’m an avid fan of classic scooters and can even build a Lambretta from scratch! I'm Craig. As the Head Chef at Lower Meadow, I have had the privilege of creating diverse dishes tailored to the resident's needs, including seasonal menus. It’s always a pleasure meeting with residents and their families, and I’m proud to work in such a positive, supportive environment.


I’ve been honoured to place 2nd twice in the Chef of the Year competition for Runwood Homes, which is a testament to my passion for cooking. Outside of work, I have a keen interest in collecting retro items from the past, and I love taking rides on my Lambretta scooter with friends.
