My grandma went to stay in Lower Meadow for some respite care and settled in so well that as a family we decided for her to remain in this lovely home. A massive thank you to the whole care team for making this difficult decision that much easier.

The first thing that is so evident on arrival at Lower Meadow is the friendly and helpful nature of all the staff. The facilities, cleanliness and overall living environment are very good. Moving our mother into Lower Meadow was made so much easier because of the help, support and accommodation of the
staff. Above all, Lower Meadow is a caring environment that provides peace of mind that your loved one is receiving the care you desire for them and which they deserve.

"I couldn't imagine being better cared for anywhere else" my father's words. A man who six months earlier when a GP suggested he may at some time need to go to care home replied "unimaginable"
All the staff from the manager to the lady who collected laundry, to the staff that brought him a drink were
respectful, considerate and spent time with him. When dad was able he enjoyed their company. This excellent care and above dedication to duty lasted until he passed away peacefully in the care home.

Lower Meadow became a home to my 99-year-old grandmother after a short period of adjustment after living independently for so long, and the welcoming culture of staff, my nan settled in well. The staff are absolutely amazing. They are all so kind, caring and compassionate and really cared about my nan.
My nan was forever grateful for their kindness and hardwork and always treated her with respect and dignity.

My elderly mother passed away a few weeks ago (January 2022) at Lower Meadow Care Home in Stratford Upon Avon. I was a regular visitor to the home and got to know the staff really well. The staff were amazing they cared for my mum (99 years of age) so well I couldn't have wished for better care for
her. The staff at Lower Meadow are amazing and a credit to the company who own Lower Meadow. Thank you to all the staff at Lower Meadow.

My 99-year-old grandmother moved into Lower Meadow in March 2021. After a period of adjustment my nan settled in well and this was down to the genuine sincere care and kindness of all the staff. Her room was tidy, clean, bright, and spacious. She lived here until she died last week. The staff are outstanding.
They loved my nan and the care they gave her and us as a family was outstanding compassionate and professional. We will always be grateful to Lower Meadow, we miss you all.

Lower Meadow is a template care home, but beautifully laid out with lovely decor, spacious communal and outside garden areas, and light airy bedrooms, all with ensuite wet-rooms
We bought my mum here in June of 2021 and as much as a painful experience it was to give up caring for her at home, the staff
made this as worry-free as possible.
Mum has dementia but is very mobile - Lower Meadow has ample space for residents to roam around but is a secure facility; we always feel so welcome when we visit too. What really makes this place special is the staff - including the Snr Team Leader, Home Manager, Activities Coordinator, her carer, plus all the other carers, team leaders, caterers, laundry ladies, and managers make this place special. I cannot thank them enough for the care they have extended to my mum, and for the sense of relief we have to know she is happy in her 'Lower Meadow Bubble'

All staff from the new manager to care assistants and everyone are so caring and looked after dad so well. He really enjoyed being in Lower Meadow. He was always kept clean and shaved with clean clothes every day. His room was also clean and tidy and we were able to have lots of photos, pictures, and
ornaments with fond memories for him in his room. All staff made time to look at these and talk to him about his memories and his late wife. They were wonderful.

My mum was blind and very hard of hearing. She moved to Lower Meadow in November 20201. From the outset, the staff treated her with the utmost respect and dignity. They provided exemplary care until the end of her life. They were, without exception, kind, patient and caring. Nothing was too much trouble.
They made my mum and her family feel safe and secure. We cannot express adequately how grateful we are for the care and service provided by Lower Meadow staff to my mum.

Mom had to move here due to her Alzheimer’s and settled in straight away. Everyone is kind and caring, nothing has been too much trouble and the care mom has received so far is wonderful. We are able to pop in and see mom whenever we want - no pre set appointments needed. Thank you all for taking such

My wife went into full time care at Lower Meadow in early October of this year, having previously spent five weeks in respite care at another local care home. My family and I were more than impressed with the standards set by Lower Meadow having visited the home prior to my wife’s admission.
Despite
the traumas of Alzheimer’s my wife could not be in a better environment and we are happy that she could not be receiving better care elsewhere.

Lower Meadow staff undoubtedly saved my mother’s life three weeks ago by responding very quickly to her medical emergency and initiating her admission to hospital for life saving treatment.
The staff are extremely kind and caring and respond with sensitivity to any questions or concerns our family
may have. My mother is very content in Lower Meadows and speaks very highly of all the staff that care for her.

Generally, I am fairly happy with the level of care, although, I feel that there should be more carers. It can take a while for a response when we call on the room bell. Staff are very lovely. Food could be better.

Staff are all very friendly, helpful, caring and my nan has settled into Lower Meadow very well. The only issue we’ve come across is getting through to speak to her on the phone, often the phone isn’t answered or it's engaged, although I completely understand that there’s a lot to do in a care home
especially with COVID-19.
It’s very hard with family members not being able to visit and see loved ones, which makes the phone calls all the more important.

During the current time with the Covid 19 situation, all the staff at Lower Meadow have been amazing. As a family, we have been kept fully informed of the situation, and the care Mum is receiving is amazing. Management are on the ball, and this shows throughout the home, the care and dedication all

Lower Meadow is excellent - clean, light, bright, warm - and the atmosphere relaxed and welcoming. It has wide corridors, spacious rooms, large windows allowing maximum daylight to flood the building, and each room with its own en-suite. A range of lounges, dining rooms, casual sitting areas, and even
a café, gives residents a selection of locations as to where they can spend their time. But most importantly, ALL the staff (no matter what their job role) are just brilliant. They are thoughtful, friendly, cheerful, caring, and engaging but also very professional. My brother has been a resident there for 3 months, during which time the staff have taken extra time and trouble to ensure he settles well into his new home. I would definitely recommend Lower Meadow.

I visited my grandmother in December and I cannot rate the home enough. It was extremely clean and well presented as were the staff. They were extremely helpful and couldn’t have done enough for the residents and visitors. The management was amazing and very involved with the residents and visitors
too. The atmosphere is like home from home and very relaxed which I think is a vital point for a care home.

I began my journey at Lower Meadow 6 years ago now, as a care assistant and with the support of Runwood Homes, I have now successfully managed the home for over 3 years.


I am very proud of the amazing team we have and the quality of care that we provide here. To care for someone is an honour, but, to give them a life here at Lower Meadow, where they laugh, enjoy life and feel loved and cared for, now that is something special.

Hi, I’m Wayne! I’ve been working in maintenance at Lower Meadow for the past year, ensuring that our residents are safe and that the home is always looking their best. I take great pride in my work and am dedicated to keeping everything running smoothly.


One of my proudest achievements is passing all inspections with flying colours, reflecting the high standards I set in everything I do. In my spare time, I’m an avid fan of classic scooters and can even build a Lambretta from scratch! I’m passionate about my work and take pride in creating a welcoming environment for everyone. Outside of work, I love travelling and have had the privilege of visiting over 10 countries. When I'm at home, I enjoy reading, watching films, and taking the dogs out to the fields. I also love spending weekends at my static caravan, where I can unwind and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

I'm Craig. As the Head Chef at Lower Meadow, I have had the privilege of creating diverse dishes tailored to the resident's needs, including seasonal menus. It’s always a pleasure meeting with residents and their families, and I’m proud to work in such a positive, supportive environment.


I’ve been honoured to place 2nd twice in the Chef of the Year competition for Runwood Homes, which is a testament to my passion for cooking. Outside of work, I have a keen interest in collecting retro items from the past, and I love taking rides on my Lambretta scooter with friends. I also enjoy trips to the Isle of Wight with my dog, soaking in the stunning views and nature.
