Excellent - Never been so cared for in my life. Everything is brilliant, from being woken up in the morning, help to get dressed, taken down for breakfast and looked after all day. Then helped to bed and cared for whilst we are asleep.
If all old people could have this wonderful opportunity to live
here at the end of their life it would be wonderful.

The home is very well run. As with all care facilities staffing is sometimes an issue. If there is a problem with a resident, sometimes others are left without supervision which is a worry.


There is always a good atmosphere.

I was unsure how my dad would settle into this situation, being so independent for most of his life. I needn't have worried, the situation 'moulded' itself and he is happy and content. He now considers his place to be home, and so does the family.

The staff have all helped my grandmother settle in and encourage her to come out of her shell. They all take the time to chat and comfort her at every opportunity. My grandmother has really connected with many people here.

I would like to see an improvement on the food. My mam in law hates mince mat, pies etc. She is more of a proper meat person ie chicken, beef, lamb and likes a lot of vegetables.


The staff are fantastic and hard working.


She does at times have problems with one or two night staff.

I have been living at Orchard Blythe for the last 3 and a half years and would not wish to be anywhere else. We have lovely carers who are there when we need them from getting us up in the morning at about 8.30-9 o clock and go to bed in the evening when we are ready. They make our beds and prepare
all our meals (I don't have any complaints). We also have a very good entertainments manager, who also organises things.

My mom has recently moved into Orchard Blythe.
I waited for her place because I knew this was the best place. I had a neighbour whose father had been at this home for 4 years and she had nothing but praise for the care her dad had received at Orchard Blythe. Since moving in, my mom's care has been
beyond reproach.


Caring, supportive and excellent care. The accolade is that my mom says she is "happy" and that's all that matters.

I'm Hayley, the Home Manager at Orchard Blythe, where I have had the pleasure of working for over 18 years. With more than 40 years of experience within the care industry, I've developed a wealth of skills and knowledge that I wholeheartedly apply to enrich the lives of our residents and support our incredible staff.


I am proud to share that, under my leadership, Orchard Blythe achieved an outstanding rating in the "Well-Led" category during our most recent CQC inspection. This accomplishment reflects our commitment to excellence in care management and my belief in fostering a warm, family-like atmosphere where everyone feels at home.


I find great joy in the laughter and companionship that fills our home; it truly makes my job worthwhile to know that our residents receive the highest quality of care and have meaningful connections with one another and our team.


Outside of my role at Orchard Blythe, I enjoy reading, dining out, and travelling abroad to soak up the sunshine. My passion for life and care is at the core of everything I do, and I am grateful to be part of such a wonderful community.

I’m Lisa Morgan, and I’ve been a cook for the past 28 years. I truly love my job and enjoy interacting with the residents, often being the first to dress up and get involved in activities. I take great pride in creating a positive atmosphere and engaging with everyone in the home.

I joined Orchard Blythe in 2017 as a Finance Administrator, bringing with me over 30 years of experience in administration. With a background in nursing and occupational therapy, I offer a unique perspective that allows me to connect deeply with both staff and residents.


Before joining Orchard Blythe, I worked as an occupational therapist in an older people’s setting, where I developed a passion for improving the quality of life for seniors. In my current role as Finance Administrator, I manage the day-to-day financial operations of the home, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and efficiently.


My responsibilities include liaising with families, managing contracts, overseeing budgets, and coordinating financial reporting.


In addition to my administrative duties, I enjoy participating in activities with the residents, fostering a sense of community and connection. I believe that engaging with residents is essential in creating a warm and welcoming environment.


I am dedicated to my work and take great pride in my compassionate approach, which I feel makes me a valued member of the Orchard Blythe team.
