Park View is a 64-bed care home situated in Warwick. This spacious home provides expert care for older people, including those living with dementia.

Park View strives to create a homely environment and provide all the comforts of good food, good company and friendly staff, in a calm and restful atmosphere. The bedrooms are beautifully furnished, with en-suite toilet facilities. The home also has excellent amenities, including comfortable lounges in which residents can relax. In addition, there is a dedicated area for dementia care, designed to enable those cared for to maintain their independence in a safe environment.

The activities coordinator works closely with residents and families to ensure the activities are meaningful and based on residents' interests. Activities include, motivation 2 music, art therapy, crafts club, bingo, quizzes, trips out, regular entertainment, hair and nail salon and pets as therapy.

Park View have community links with the local college, schools, churches, mobile library support services and hold a monthly Memory Lane Café to offer support and advice to those living with dementia.

I visited my father yesterday, and I just wanted to comment on how happy and healthy he seemed. I don't live locally and it's so comforting to know that he is in good hands, even though his dementia can make him challenging at times. It is a credit to the staff how he is flourishing at the moment. We
thought that there was a lovely atmosphere at the home and all the staff were friendly and helpful. We are very grateful for the care which he is receiving, especially after a difficult time in his last home.

I have visited my friend on three occasions now. She has dementia and has not been out of her room on my visits. I can only comment on part of the survey. I have felt safe while visiting having been given a temperature check, flow test, mask, gloves, and apron. My friend's room has been clean and tidy
with many of her own belongings to make it feel homely. She has been treated with kindness and patience while I have been present, and the staff seem to know her well.

My first visit to my Mum's room since she arrived at Park View. Lovely surroundings, view of the garden and trees is very calming. So pleased to see the lovely relationships she has with staff. Her room was very personal with many family photos and personal effects. In what had been a difficult year
for all I would like to thank all the staff and fellow residents for making my Mum so welcome. I always sensed this but it has been wonderful to be with her again and see it for myself. Your hard work is appreciated so much. Thank you.

My wife has been at Park View Warwick for several months. It was a devastating time for our family. Such a wonderful wife suddenly struck down with dementia to a point that I could not manage. Now she has the best care and loves her time at Park View. Although her memory fades I am so pleased for her
and feel somewhat contented.

I had not been able to visit Mum since March due to Coronavirus so was thrilled to be told that it was possible to have a pre-booked garden visit for half an hour.
I was so impressed by how safely the visit was set up and so happy and relieved to see my mum looking so cheerful, relaxed and well cared
for. When the virus first stopped visits mum was extremely distressed and anxious, but the staff on all levels at Park View have worked miracles to help her to cope with not being able to have the visitors that she was accustomed to seeing on a regular basis. Thank you, Park View, you truly are heroes.

Park View really cares for its residents. I have never seen any member of staff show anything other than love and patience. Mum always looks well cared for and says the food is excellent. There are many activities available and residents are encouraged into the sheltered garden when weather permits.
The high standards have kept Park View Covid free, an accolade in itself. Thank you Park View.

My mum was admitted to Park View just before Christmas as she could no longer cope on her own in her bungalow, at first she was a bit nervous as it was a big change in her life, but right from the start, the staff made her very welcome always talking to her and making her feel a part of the home. The
noticeable change in her behaviour since she has been there is remarkable and it seems as though the clock has been turned back and my mum is her old self interacting joking with people and making friends. I cannot thank the staff and residents enough for making my mum's life better.

Park View is an example of excellence in residential care.
I cannot praise the staff too highly. Their care for residents is always good-humoured, cheerful and professional. The atmosphere is always welcoming and since lockdown photos and other media have kept us in touch with what is going on on a
day to day basis.
The whole family is so glad that we chose Park View for Mum.

When our nan had a stroke last year, we were all extremely anxious about her health and how it had deteriorated in hospital. We were very close to losing her. She could not return home and we were all concerned about her going into 'a home'. She was referred to Park View in Warwick just before Christmas
and from the day that we all met the staff we knew that this home was very special. The staff are fantastic - friendly, kind and extremely caring and the environment is cheerful, clean and welcoming. They provide ample opportunities for their residents - she's always busy, doing this and that club and the stimulation and frequent contact with other residents has given her something to look forward to each day, as well as keeping her mind and body active. She's her old self again - smiles, laughs and has a positive outlook on the future. The staff have become our second family and I speak for us all when I say that we are extremely thankful to each and every one of them for keeping ournan safe and for making the home, her home.

The home is well run and the majority of the care staff are kind, considerate, friendly and competent. There are exceptions but these I believe are mainly temporaries. I think temporaries (from care agency) serve a purpose but cannot generally match employed members who have worked there for a time
and are more familiar with the patients. Having same staff on a regular basis is one of the most important issues for residents and therefore I believe agency staff are a false economy and the extra cost would be better spent paying the good regular staff better. It is my belief that some of these regulars would work more hours if given the opportunity and lessen the use of agency staff. I also believe that the staff are sometimes overloaded and this results in mistakes e.g, it cannot be right that the resident can be left without the call button within easy reach, especially when they have no mobility to retrieve it. Occasionally promises to do things like return with a cup of tea, etc, is forgotten.

I would like to extend a huge 'thank you' to all the staff at Park View care home. You have gone over and above the call of duty to keep my mother safe and sound in these very troubling times. The staff have always been polite and helpful whenever I ring to speak to my mother, which is many times per
week. I am also bowled over by the facetime service you have offered so that my mother can see me and hopefully remember me when I am able to travel to see her once more. You have all been amazing, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Keep safe, keep well and keep smiling. With all my love and gratitude.

My Dad was really happy here. He was pleased that staff members were friendly and would often stop to chat. He was very much impressed by the food which was of a good quality. The only downside was sadly the other residents, who through no fault of their own, reminded him of Mum (she has Alzheimer's).

I am very happy with all the care mother receives she is always clean and tidy. She has her hair done in the salon on a regular basis, the hairdresser is very caring. All the staff are great and very easy to talk to. I can discuss all matters concerning mother without feeling that I am being judged.

Welcome to Park View Warwickshire. My name is Dani Pathirage and I have been a home Manager for Runwood Homes since 2020. I have developed my career within the company to seek more experience and worked in different homes. I’ve gained vast experience of working in Health and Social care and awareness of CQC Expectations. I have NVQ 5 in Health and social care management and am a Qualified Moving and Handling Trainer. I joined Park View in March 2023, and have made a lot of positive changes around the home. My team and I strive to ensure Park View always provide excellent care to the highest standards. One of my proudest achievements is being part of the world record-breaking event for the world’s oldest choir, a Guinness World Record! While I love to sing (even if I’m not the best at it), I know it brings joy to others. Outside of work, I enjoy going to the gym, walking the dogs, and painting.

Hi, I'm Sheila, the Home Administrator at Park View. I've been with the team for 7 years, and I truly love the variety of work I get to do here. Every day brings something new, and I enjoy working with both the staff and residents. No two days are ever the same—each one unfolds with its own surprises. What I find most rewarding is seeing how much of a difference we make in the residents' lives. Whether it's a smile, a chat, or just spending time together, it’s those moments of appreciation that make it all worth it. Their joy puts a smile on my face too.


I'm proud to have been recognised as Staff Member of the Month, which was such an honour. Outside of work, I’m a self-proclaimed “workaholic!” I even climbed the Three Peaks for the residents’ fund and raised over £1,200. When I’m not walking, I love spending time with my grandchildren, reading, or working on a jigsaw puzzle—though I never seem to have enough time for that!


Every day at Park View is an opportunity to make a positive impact, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything!
