Westlands is located on the edge of Rugby town centre, benefiting from being close to local shops, restaurants, a community theatre and the library, as well as the town's central park. The out of town retail park and cinema can be reached easily by bus.

The home offers long-term and respite care for older people in a warm and welcoming environment made up of three separate households, each offering its own living space which residents can make their own.

The lounge areas are central to the household where people can get together and socialise with other residents, family and friends, and the gardens, complete with seated areas, lawn and bedding areas with a variety of plants and raised beds, are the perfect space to relax in the warmer months.

Regular outings and day trips on the Memory Maker minibus are planned, helping residents to stay connected with their local community. Closer to home, residents can relax in the onsite café and a beauty salon.

I came from hospital to Westlands through the Covid 19 pandemic, which makes it harder to comment as fairly as I would otherwise. The staff are caring and kind and look after me with dignity and respect.

I have found the care of the highest quality. The staff all have the best interests of the residents as their first priority. My dad is happy, well cared for and seems to be well respected by all. I couldn't ask for a better place for dad to end his days.

I would recommend Westlands as a first-rate care home. The staff are diligent and thorough in looking after my mum and the residents generally. In addition, customer service levels and the interaction with family is excellent. Well done.

Staff are fantastic warm and caring. They have a bond with the residents. Activities are fair, crafts, games, outing and physical facilities good, with large bathrooms. Could do with more spacious dining area for the number of residents.

Tash Stevens

Job Title: Home Manager

Joined: 2008

I’ve worked at WCS Care since 2008, starting at Mill Green, our Rugby home for Working Age Adults before stepping into the role of Training Co-ordinator in 2018.


As much as I enjoyed delivering training, I missed working directly with residents and so returned to the frontline as a Care Manager at Drovers House in 2019, before being promoted to my current role of Home Manager at Westlands.


What I love about my job is putting a smile on residents’ faces. I’ve always enjoyed getting to know people, what makes them who they are and what makes them smile – making others feel good makes me feel good.


When I’m not busy at work, I’m at home spending time with my daughter or with our dogs. I also like travelling and going out with friends and family.
