Located in a quiet village on the outskirts of Chesterfield, Brimington Care Home is purpose-built to provide residential dementia care, palliative care, respite care and intermediate care as an alternative to hospital. The home has 45 rooms and is close to public transport links and the Chesterfield Royal Hospital.

Each day, staff aim to enhance the lives of residents through the activities programme, trips out and regular social events including carols, school visits and art activities.

I have nothing but praise for the management and staff at this care home. We chose this home as it felt welcoming and friendly with a lovely atmosphere. My dad is happy and well cared for. The staff are always friendly to him and our family. What was a frightening experience and emotional experience
for us has been made easier by help from the manager and staff. It's so lovely to see Dad joining in all activities provided by the team. He seems happy in his new home. Thank you.

The care home staff and management are very friendly polite and professional. Staff interact very well with residents and are very caring. Everyone is so welcoming when myself and other members of the family visit. The care home is well-decorated and kept very tidy.
The meals are very appetizing and
there is a good variety of food daily.
Residents are well entertained and motivated with daily activities and craft making, singing mornings and visits out.
The care home is excellent in every way and I can rest assured my mum is well looked after, treated with dignity, safe and most of all happy in her new home.
I would definitely recommend this care home.

Brilliant care home, been visiting for the last few years as my mother and two aunties were in there. Now visiting my best friend, who is a resident in the care home. All the staff and the manager are fantastic, really caring and helpful, nothing too much trouble. Would highly recommend.

Mother was taken in on respite, with the option of staying. As a family, we were unable to cope with her demands. Can't believe how lucky we are, the home/staff are friendly, get know the residents very quickly and their visitors, feels like you are part of a large family, very happy leaving Mum. The
home itself is extremely clean and tidy, with some stimulation during the day. Always snacks/drinks available. Everything you want for a parent.

My mother-in-law has always been treated with respect and has been cared for really well. Medical care has also been really good. The staff are hard-working and always do their best to make the residents feel at home and their visitors welcome.

I find the staff are always very caring and helpful. If I ever ask for help while I’m there visiting, they are always happy to oblige. My parents are as happy as can be under the circumstances of their condition, they are loved and cared for. My parents always smile at the carers, they wouldn’t do that
if they weren’t happy. The care home always smells nice and clean, which is very important to me, the bedroom/bedding is always clean.

I like how we can visit at any time. We are always made welcome by all the staff. I am impressed with how caring all the staff are with all the residents. We are kept up to date with all Mum's medical needs. She is always kept clean and tidy. She is always asked if she would like to join in with any
activities. Mum always says how nice the meals are. I would really recommend this care home to any family that may need one.

I've found the staff to be very efficient, friendly and caring. I can visit Mum whenever I want but try and avoid meal times. The residents have numerous activities they can join in with. I'm kept fully informed if mum isn't well and needs medical attention. Mum always looks clean and tidy and well
cared for. I would highly recommend this care home to any family looking for care for their loved ones.

Where do we start with the journey with Brimington Care Centre? We cannot thank the manager enough for the care, compassion and knowledge she gave to the two residents in their hours of need. It was without a doubt priceless. The home, the staff and the love and dignity that they provided in one resident's
last days with us were special. They are angels without wings on earth. These ladies were given the best care, the most amazing love and a whole new outlook towards the inevitable. The other resident has decided to stay and make the care home her home after losing her life-long best friend/sister and soul life traveller. The carers, manager, the cook, the cleaners, the ever-extended family members of residents, they are now her new home. The resident thanks you all from the bottom of her heart for making the worst day of her life a bearable situation, she wants to let you all know she’s full of such gratefulness to you all. It’s not your job, it’s your life! Thank you.

My mum has been in the care home for 7 years now. Let’s break down the word care home.
Care - the staff go above and beyond the care that needs to be given to Mum. If there is anything she needs, the home will provide. The patience the staff show to Mum is outstanding. Practically, the home makes sure
all meds are in place and actioned accordingly to the changes in my mum's care. Mum is bedridden and challenging to say the least, but never had a problem with bed sores because the staff are attentive and always turn her regularly. They should be so proud that Mum has not been troubled by bedsores. A testament to the care given.
Home - this is a home. Not just a care home, it’s a home for my mum and us as a family. We are treated as family and the staff are family to Mum. I remember on a visit when we first arranged for Mum to go there meeting the manager and her saying 'This home is your home as well as your mum's'. I can not tell you what that meant and has meant to us as a family.

My mum has lived at Brimington Care Home since July 2022. After all the stress beforehand when she lived on her own, the care home was a lovely respite. I am totally at ease and stress-free since my mum came here. The staff are superb, warm and friendly. It's a lovely place to be for my mum and me when

As I am fairly "new" to having my partner in care, I assume it is 'good value for money'. I am sure that my partner would not have better care in any other residential setting.
Staff are very caring and work well as a team. The menus look good and the dining tables are always set appropriately. I am
always offered a cup of tea whenever I visit and all the staff are welcoming.
The activities therapist is a key member of the team and arranges outings for residents as appropriate plus indoor activities, games, musical events etc.

I live far away from my mother in Australia. Being able to visit my mother for the month of May has been wonderful. Seeing first-hand how happy she is and settled, I know I can go to Australia reassured.
The staff go above and beyond to make sure the residents have what they need are treated with dignity,
are comfortable and are fed well.
During my visits, I have been warmly welcomed by friendly staff. I couldn't have asked for more.

This was my stepfather's second home and he settled in so well. The staff are brilliant, from the carers to the office staff and management. Special mention to the activity organiser, who is always posting on social media, what games and activities the residents are doing (which is always plenty). It's
great to see our loved ones looked after like we would look after them ourselves, with so much love and respect. Well done to everyone at the home, a review that warrants the highest praise.
