Located in a quiet village on the outskirts of Chesterfield, Brimington Care Home is purpose-built to provide residential dementia care, palliative care, respite care and intermediate care as an alternative to hospital. The home has 45 rooms and is close to public transport links and the Chesterfield Royal Hospital.

Each day, staff aim to enhance the lives of residents through the activities programme, trips out and regular social events including carols, school visits and art activities.

Brimington is a modern home featuring bright and airy spaces while providing residents with an accessible and safe outdoor area where they can enjoy the sunshine and engage in gardening activities.

All staff are welcoming and caring and treat each resident as a family member, providing them with the best possible care.

My mother was a resident here for over three years. I found both management and staff to be both reliable and co-operative. Care was tailored to need and administered with professionalism and with great respect for my mother's needs. Communication was prompt and very effective. The care during my mother's
last weeks of life was nothing short of superb, and the support and help that was given to me I shall ever be thankful for. This care home may not have the nicely manicured gardens, but it does possess something far more important. A staff that show genuine care and concern for the residents. My sincere thanks goes to each one of them.

The home is very nice, the staff are caring and helpful, they fetch me prawns and do me a prawn cocktail at weekends because they know it's my weekend favourite. I love everyone who works at Brimington.

We are very happy with the home, we are not always able to visit as we live away and it is so reassuring knowing my auntie is safe well cared for and happy. The home has a lovely friendly atmosphere and we are always made to feel welcome and offered refreshments. A real gem of a home.

I was very happy to let my mum come here upon our first visit. There is such a light lovely friendly atmosphere compared to others we had viewed. The staff were very helpful at helping mum get a place. Although mum had a few settling in problems, they were soon helped and calmed down by staff. Mum
seems happier the longer she's here.

The staff are wonderful with my mother who is not easy to look after, but they give her everything she wants. The staff have just got Pearl specialised dementia services. I know they have worked very hard to get this. Manager's door is always open.
