Wheathills House provides residential care in a warm and friendly atmosphere where staff get to know residents to ensure their needs and wishes are continually met. The care team is dedicated to providing a high standard of care that is tailored to each resident. Day care is also available for members of the community.

Residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms as they wish. All rooms are ensuite and have TV points and call systems, plus there is a good mobile network plus Wifi available.The home has various communal areas including a light and airy conservatory, and coffee lounge where residents can relax with family and friends.

Meals at Wheathills are all home cooked and can be tailored to meet any dietary requirements.

Residents can take part in a range of activities at the home, which are designed to stimulate residents and help to improve their quality of life. Activities are carefully chosen to meet the needs and interests of individual residents. The home also benefits from visiting healthcare professionals and a local clergy.

My Mum has been in Wheathills since September and has settled in very well. The care staff are excellent and have certainly made Mum feel at home and welcome. The home has a choice of areas to sit so Mum can be with other residents or have some time on her own. Food and location are excellent and activities
varied and Mum generally enjoys.

After viewing several care homes and Wheathills House, I thought it ideal for respite.
The house is very friendly and welcoming. The owner and staff are caring, the rooms are attractively furnished with quality fixtures and fittings. A beautiful dining room, conservatory overlooking the garden. I would
recommend Wheathills.
Just one small problem - activities - could do with more stimulation in the afternoon.

My nan stayed at Wheathills House for seven and a half years until she passed away of old age. We chose Wheathills due to its lovely setting and views, clean and tidy appearance, and friendly, caring and helpful staff. We visited a couple of times a week and never had any concerns.
My nan was happy
in the home, she enjoyed the company of the other residents and staff, and she always enjoyed the food. My nan took part in activities at the home and went on arranged trips out. We were allowed to have Christmas dinner with my nan at the home which my nan really appreciated.

The home Wheathills House is like home from home. Very peaceful and extremely clean throughout. The owner and staff are very helpful. The residents come first. Their main priority is at all times to the residents. Lovely atmosphere.

The home was very clean, no smells. All carpets, curtains, chairs etc all clean, not worn at all. Every member of staff is very caring and friendly, nothing too much trouble.

The care Dad has been given is superb. He is encouraged to be as independent as possible. The staff are all gentle and kind towards him. They make sure all his needs are met.
He is settled and happy. Nothing is too much trouble. They reassure him when he is confused.

I have visited many homes having close friends but none compare with Wheathills. The building and surrounding views are excellent. The care is faultless. The staff are so friendly and the care they provide shows to visitors and the lucky people they try to look after. The residents really love them
and in return, they really love the people they are caring for. Long may it continue.

Wheathills House is a decent care home. The staff were caring and did their best. Things can always be better but the overall experience was good. Mum would have been happy to go back after a spell in hospital but needed a nursing home.

My father receives excellent care in a friendly, homely and well-kept environment at Wheathills House. The needs of residents are met with kindness and consideration and residents are encouraged by the staff to be independent as far as their individual ability and mobility allows. The staff maintain
high standards of cleanliness throughout the home and in addition, the food is all freshly prepared on the premises. Fresh flowers throughout the home add to the overall ambience of this pleasant home. There are good levels of communication between staff and management, residents and their relatives.

Having lived here five months I feel very safe, happy and comfortable. A good atmosphere lot of laughter. The staff work well as a team good communication with care. The food menus are excellent, very well cooked and will change the menu if not suited to you no trouble, on the whole, I would recommend
no problem.

My father has been in Wheathills House since December 2015. Despite our reservations about his ability to fit into a care home at 94 and a half years old, my father has settled well and regards the place as "home". He is well fed, always looks clean and presentable and his room is always clean and fresh.
We are welcome at any time.

My father-in-law has been in Wheathills House since November 2015.
The level of care is superb, delivered by an excellent team who are obviously committed to what they do.
The premises are always clean, tidy and devoid of any odours that one might normally associate with some care homes.
My father-in-law's
room is always spotless and very obviously maintained on a daily basis to a high standard.
The food quality is high and always well presented. My wife and I, along with other family members, have in the recent past accepted an invitation to join the residents for lunch. As well as good food, the atmosphere was happy and we were made very welcome. It was heartening to see the residents enjoy their meal and to observe the high level of care and supervision provided by the staff.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Wheathills to other families.

Friendly home. Excellent night staff nothing was too much trouble for them and they answered the call bell very quickly.
A small incident with cleanliness in toilets which was resolved very quickly once the staff were made aware.
