My mother-in-law is extremly well cared for and has been very happy since she moved here (12 months ago). The staff are lovely and caring. They do a range of activities each week and have visitors in to do arts/crafts, singing etc. I would recommend this care home.

I have been delighted with the care received by Mum at Marwood. She is very well looked after in all aspects of her care. The staff are lovely, friendly and professional.
We are always welcome to visit as family members and to spend as much time as we like with our mum.

My mother is currently receiving respite care at Marwood Residential Home and I cannot fault the care and compassion she has received.
The home is run exceptionally well and all of the staff from the carers to management really care about their residents.
My mother has had a couple of medical incidents
whilst staying here all of which have been dealt with swiftly, professionally and always with compassion and kindness with her well-being always being of paramount importance
Although my mother has not used these facilities the home has a well-appointed dining room and lounge and they also run activities to keep residents engaged. There is also a quiet room with books and jigsaws always on hand.
My mother's room is large with plenty of natural light. She was able to bring some items from home which has made it feel really homely.
I would not hesitate in recommending Marwood Residential Home and if needed in the future returning my mother to their care.

The last thing we wanted to do was put my granny in a residential/care home, but when the time came we chose Marwood. From the get-go everyone was so friendly, caring and would do anything to make sure everything was exactly how we wanted it to be for my granny.
The home is clean, warm (air conditioning
for warmer months) and very cosy.
The staff are incredible and their happiness and smiles don't fade even after the longest days.
The food is fantastic with lots of selection and they cater to all needs.
There are activities each week, singers that come in and much more.
I couldn't recommend Marwood highly enough and feel relief knowing my granny is safe in their hands.

I cannot recommend Marwood more highly. My mum has been a resident here for just over a year and has settled very well. The staff are all very kind, professional and caring.
There were lots of festive activities over the Christmas period during which we were made to feel very welcome. It was great
seeing Mum so happy. The home was beautifully decorated and there were lots of culinary treats.

Mum has received care tailored to her needs. The staff are friendly and supportive, always welcoming, kind, caring and professional. They have liaised with the hospital when Mum has had recent admissions and welcomed her home each time. The home is nice and clean and warm, the residents all seem quite
content and happy. They enjoy the regular activities. The food menu is varied and mum enjoys her meals with the other residents.

It is a great comfort knowing that Mum is cared for at such a high standard. All of the staff are kind, caring, helpful and have a great sense of humour, which suits my mum perfectly. Nothing is too much trouble for them to do. Mum enjoys the food as they have multiple choices. They have a varied activity
schedule, we really enjoyed the Christmas party! She is treated with dignity and supported when she needs it. The facilities are good and they are spotless. The management team are always on hand and very helpful if needed. No wonder my mum loves it here!

We have found Marwood to be one of the best care homes in the county. The rooms and lounges are well set out and very homely for residents and visitors. The staff are friendly and always cheerful. Marwood is an east place to work with, we feel lucky to have been able to place mother into their care.

My 89-year-old cousin originally went into Marwood Residential Home for two weeks after a stay in hospital. He was made welcome and looked after well, so much so that he said that if he had the chance he would happily return to Marwood. A couple of weeks later he got that chance and moved in as a permanent
resident. Living on his own at home he was very anxious now his anxiety has gone and his health has greatly improved. He now has company around him and all the staff are excellent with him as they are with all the residents. He enjoys the activities and the musical entertainment that they put on. If you are looking for somewhere for a loved one that is homely, friendly, and caring it's Marwood, I can not praise them enough.

My mum lived at Marwood for three years until recently passing and in all this time she has received the best of care in all respects and the staff went over and above following her recent stroke and death. I would highly recommend anyone who is thinking of placing a relative in care to look at Marwood

My aunt had a fall in November 2021, fracturing her femur. After a long stay in hospital and rehabilitation, she was unable to regain enough mobility to go back home. We had a problem - at 97, residential care was the only way forward but she didn’t want to consider residential care being part of her
story. A place at Marwood was gratefully accepted whilst aiming to eventually return home. My aunt never looked back. Fantastic care, respectful and dignified support, warm companionship and a clean, safe environment helped her to settle in. She enjoyed her room and chose to spend a lot of her day there, though she had plenty of encouragement to engage in the wide range of activities available to residents. Visiting was made easy to manage with covid awareness. Staff befriended her and us with plenty of support to help us adjust to a new way of life. When she passed away, we were helped through a sad time with dignity and comfort. Such excellence at all times. Thank you.

I had heard about Marwood’s reputation a while before needing their services but I have still been amazed at the level of love and care given. The house is immaculate and Dad is being so well looked after by the highly professional and friendly staff. Very important to my Dad is food, here it’s homemade
and looks delicious and the restaurant is light and airy and a great place to eat. A true home from home. I have no hesitation in recommending Marwood to anyone.

My mum has a wonderful stay here at Marwood. She was well cared for and came back extremely happy and I know she had been very stimulated by her stay. When she came home, she brought back all the things she had done in her craft sessions and couldn't praise the staff enough. When talking to the staff
on the phone I found them supportive and very helpful and would definitely come again.

I recently had a window visit with a friend of the family. We spoke via the homes mobile phone, the staff were very helpful with my friend. Whilst visiting I saw that there were activities going on which looked very interesting and very stimulating for the residents. They all looked extremely happy.
The cleanliness of the home looked fabulous. Also lots of staff around.

We were very impressed by the thoughtful, caring nature of all staff. We were always greeted with cheerful efficiency and we quickly formed an impression that nothing was too much trouble. Job Title: Registered Provider and Medical Director

Dr Jaspal Swalli is the Registered Provider and Medical Director for the Precious Care Homes Group. He is a Registered Medical Doctor with the General Medical Council and Consultant Psychiatrist. He has been a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists since 2012. He comes with values of integrity, care, compassion and ethics. He is a specialist in acute and urgent care pathways within adult mental health services and has expertise in management of mentally disordered offenders, substance misuse, personality disorder, dual diagnosis and dementia. At the heart of Dr Swalli ‘s work is to provide psychoeducation to service users, carers and families to tackle the stigma and discrimination around mental health issues. He is an expert in applying Mental Health and Mental Capacity Act Laws.

I started off by working in the role of Care Assistant, progressing on working in the roles of Senior Care Assistant and then Team Leader whilst completing my NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care. I am currently completing a Level 3 Certificate in Understanding Principles of Dementia Care.


I now support the Management Team in the day-to-day running of the home. I strive to provide our residents with the highest standards of care and promote physical and mental health well-being amongst all. Outside of Marwood, I have 3 children who are all growing and developing at different stages in their lives which gives me a fulfilling role as a mother.
