We were very impressed by the thoughtful, caring nature of all staff. We were always greeted with cheerful efficiency and we quickly formed an impression that nothing was too much trouble. Communication was excellent and thorough. This is an excellent care home, which we would definitely recommend.

Marwood and it's staff are excellent all round. My mother is very happy at the home and has nothing but praise for the staff and her care. It is the third home she has been in and by far the best.

Visited one of my parent's friends just before Christmas, I was very impressed with the home and the staff who were all very welcoming and friendly. It was really nice to see our family friend being so well looked after. I was more than happy to leave the feedback.

Each time I visit Marwood I am made to feel very welcome by the staff. There are no set visiting times so I can pop in when I'm passing to see my friend. It has a real homely feel, is decorated nicely and always smells fresh and clean. The residents and staff are like one big family and everyone is
included. There is always something gong on that the residents can join in and my friend is very happy there. She is well cared for and always talks about how good the food is.

Marwood and its staff provide a very welcoming environment for visitors and residents alike. The building is modern, bright and airy with a very homely feel to it. It's always clean and tidy, no matter when I visit. The staff are friendly and approachable and treat my sister with respect and dignity.
It's very reassuring to see my sister so settled - she couldn't be cared for any better. Since moving to Marwood, she has made new friends and enjoys taking part in the many organised group activities.

My aunt has been here since July 2019. The home is exceptionally clean to a high standard and is well maintained and decorated. My aunt has settled really well and is very happy. She is always clean, her skin is in excellent condition and she has put weight on. She gets on with other residents and the
staff are great. My family couldn't be happier.

Our Mum has been in Marwood approximately 3 years, the care has been very satisfactory. If we were to find one negative comment, the laundry department could be more efficient in returning the correct clothing, this is nothing in comparison to the care and support provided. If we have ever to sort any
issues for Mum the management have already acted promptly to resolve the situation. We like the inclusion to attend regular home meetings, more activities to be arranged.

My father-in-law moved into Marwood nearly 2 years ago after living independently. He himself says it is the best thing he could have done. He has a lovely en-suite room regular really good food. He loves the company of the other residents and the activities every day. Any medical need is quickly spotted
by staff and dealt with. For his relatives, it is total peace of mind and we are always made very welcome on our visits and we receive phone calls from the staff if we need informing. I just hope they have a vacancy when I need it.

Such a bright, airy place and visitors are always welcome. The staff are friendly and professional, treating residents with care and respect. First impression was a light, airy, welcoming atmosphere. Staff are ever present, caring, patient and respectful. They encourage residents to take part in activities and enjoy life.
The home is run by a very capable, caring and hands-on person.

Mum has been a resident for about a year and I cannot praise the staff more highly for their kindness and professionalism. The managers while staying kind compassionate and unfailingly helpful, run a tight ship and certainly have their finger on the pulse. I would recommend Marwood Residential Home

I can highly recommend Marwood as a care home. My mother who is now 97 has gone from strength to strength since going to Marwood in 2012. The food is very good, the staff are extremely helpful and jolly and the rooms are very nicely decorated and maintained.

At Marwood, we pride ourselves on putting our residents at the heart of our service, celebrating individuality and encouraging independence to meet even the smallest of needs.

Job Title: Registered Provider and Medical Director

Dr Jaspal Swalli is the Registered Provider and Medical Director for the Precious Care Homes Group. He is a Registered Medical Doctor with the General Medical Council and Consultant Psychiatrist. He has been a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists since 2012. He comes with values of integrity, care, compassion and ethics. He is a specialist in acute and urgent care pathways within adult mental health services and has expertise in management of mentally disordered offenders, substance misuse, personality disorder, dual diagnosis and dementia. At the heart of Dr Swalli ‘s work is to provide psychoeducation to service users, carers and families to tackle the stigma and discrimination around mental health issues. He is an expert in applying Mental Health and Mental Capacity Act Laws.

I began my journey in care in 2019. I started off by working in the role of Care Assistant, progressing on working in the roles of Senior Care Assistant and then Team Leader whilst completing my NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care. I am currently completing a Level 3 Certificate in Understanding Principles of Dementia Care.


I now support the Management Team in the day-to-day running of the home. I strive to provide our residents with the highest standards of care and promote physical and mental health well-being amongst all. Outside of Marwood, I have 3 children who are all growing and developing at different stages in their lives which gives me a fulfilling role as a mother.
