Family-run Moat House Care Home offers award-winning affordable luxury in the beautiful conservation area of Burbage village, Leicestershire.

Residents are cared for by the same friendly faces with a well-trained team who ensure high standards of residential, daycare and dementia care in a comfortable, caring and compassionate environment.

Wellbeing and happiness is at the heart of the home and dedicated activity coordinators provide residents with a daily fun, engaging and stimulating social programme designed to encourage a fulfilled, happy and enriched life.

In the dementia care suites, residents have access to sensory areas, reminiscence activities and memory boxes. With its own minibus, Moat House residents frequently get out and about on day trips to places of local interest.

Well-equipped facilities include spacious, tastefully decorated en-suite bedrooms, a cinema, a traditional pub, hair salon, and lifestyle kitchens where residents are encouraged to assist with everyday tasks such as making a cup of tea or laying the table for dinner. Tasty home-cooked meals are served in dining rooms, which overlook the attractive gardens.

Set amidst two acres of mature trees, Moat House has beautiful sensory gardens with an aviary, patio seating area, water feature as well as a relaxing spinney moat walk.

103 year old mother-in-law is quite a new resident but we have been impressed time and again how the staff are so caring and helpful and attentive. When learning about the home before deciding it was suitable for her, all that we were told the home and staff would do/provide some things sounded too
good to be true, but our experience now that she is here is that it was all true and even better in some ways. Moat House is absolutely super and we have no misgivings at all about our decision for her to come here.

My grandmother was cared for with love, thoughtfulness and kindness. Doctors were called when needed and she developed good friendships whilst at Moat House. In her last month at Moat House. The management kindly invited the whole family for Christmas lunch so nine of us celebrated together at Moat
House. This kindness will give us such happy memories of her time there.

Our experience since my mother was moved to a care home following ill health has been very good. We know she is being looked after well in a warm and safe environment. She now has the opportunity to have a more active life as there are activities provided everyday. She has company from both carers and
other residents, is fed well and does not have to worry anymore about being safe.

Moat House is a genuinely wonderful care home which sets a very high standard for any other care homes in the area to live up to.


I have been thoroughly impressed with the building, all of the facilities on offer (and there are many, including an old fashioned pub and a cinema!) as well as the

care service at Moat House. More importantly than all of the above though is the fact that my 92 year old Granddad is happy there. He has always been a very sociable chap and he has made many new friends, not only with the other residents but with the staff as well.

My father was a resident for 5 months, during his stay he was treated with the utmost dignity by all the staff. We were continually informed of any health or well being issues. The compassion and care shown to my father at the end of his life was outstanding, as was the well being of myself and my
family. I will never be able to thank them enough.
