Westroyd Care Home is a well-established Care Home. It is surrounded by the community. They offer 24-hour personalised care and support for residents with residential and dementia needs.

There are 31 bedrooms, with all having en-suite facilities. Although the bedrooms are furnished to a good standard, the team do encourage residents to bring in their own items to give a feeling of home. There is a well-established furnished lounge, that boast large flat screen TV and a variety of chairs to accommodate Residents' seating preference. Westroyd House has one dining room with facilities accessible to visitors and families for refreshments, a varied menu is provided and Residents are able to eat in their own rooms if preferred. Activity Coordinators are able to deliver a programme that is created for the enjoyment of the residents, they deliver music and activities from the community, who love to entertain residents. Westroyd House has a secluded, secure, well-used patio area and garden at the rear of the building where Residents enjoy potting plants or even enjoying the occasional sunshine! The team encourage residents to participate in gardening activities if this is their passion.

The home is close to the town centre so residents are able to access the shops and coffee shops, independently or with family.
Facilities at Westroyd also include salon which will offer residents manicures, pedicures, plus a hair salon for those who enjoy a weekly pick me up. An experienced hair stylist is able to offer a variety of services to cater for everyone’s needs.

My mum came here for respite having used other care homes. I was absolutely over the moon with the care service that was provided. Carers so upset to see my mum leave and felt they had really taken a shine to her.
Cannot fault anything and will be using again 100%.

Sadly Mum passed having only been in the home for five days. From the moment she was received from hospital, she received superb care. Staff have Mum a family, respect, love, care and dignity. We were made to feel part of their family. Mum's passing was sad but staff made it possible that Mum's end
of life care and her death was peaceful and she died with dignity. Thank you for making this possible.

Dad is really settled at Westroyd. The whole team are committed to caring for their residents. Dad has had a couple of hospital admissions and there is absolutely no doubt that his speedy recoveries have been down to the care and encouragement he has received at Westroyd. I have no concerns about the

My m, was at Westroyd House for nearly a year before she sadly died. During this time Mum had settled in extremely well and was extremely happy. Following a fall, Mum was taken to hospital. No injuries, just low blood pressure and constipation. I was called promptly when Mum fell and was able to attend before the paramedics arrived. As Mum has dementia, the stay in hospital disorientated her and she declined on her return to Westroyd. However,
after several days of being back, Mum was pretty much her old self - hopefully she will continue to be well looked after. I'm not saying it's all perfect, but the staff must be caring well for her. One member of staff, in particular, is an absolute gem!

I travelled to the UK this week to visit my good old friend and former landlady, who had turned 100 in January! She had told me in our phone conversations how well she felt at Westroyd Care Home and I could see it for myself from my four daily visits. She has a lovely room which makes her feel at home.
She told me the food is very good. All the staff are very kind which is also my experience as a visitor. I'm glad I could see her again, so next time I phone her I can imagine her in her new environment. Thank you for taking good care of the elderly people.

I recently visited a family member who was put in the home. I immediately felt the atmosphere, it was of care. Every member of staff I came into contact with was friendly and professional. Everyone I came into contact with treated each resident with respect and dignity, We are not sure how long our
relative has left, if he's able to stay at the home we are confident he will be comfortable and happy.

My mother has been in Westroyd for 6 months now and has flourished since she moved there. The care she gets is excellent and she is well fed and looked after, she is very settled and happy. The staff are great, really caring and nothing is too much trouble. Wouldn’t want my mum anywhere else.

No problem getting an appointment for a visit. Always pleasant on the phone. The staff are always welcoming. The bedroom did not smell fresh.

Mum was sent to Westroyd House for rehabilitation from hospital and although initially, we were not happy with the travelling distance from our home in the south of the country, we cannot be more pleased with the care she is receiving. Having not eaten much or liking the food when in hospital, she now
tells me we had a “lovely dinner” but doesn’t remember what it was! Although I worry about Mum, as she has always lived independently at home until five weeks ago, the staff are so kind and reassuring.

The staff are friendly and courteous. They are kind and respectful to the residents. When visiting the home it always appears to be clean and fresh. As far as I am aware the residents are well supported with their personal cleanliness and hygiene. The resident that I visit is always clean, well-fed
