I found my aunts residency in The Willos one of a love experience. The staff were all very considerate pf her needs and carried out their duties with the utmost professionalism and compassion. I thank you all for everything you did, especially during this difficult time. You are all a credit to yourselves

My mother has been a resident at The Willows for three years. Her care has always been good and any concerns have always been listened to and acted upon. She has always enjoyed joining in with the activities and entertainment. The staff work hard to keep the home clean and tidy and look after the residents.
Their efforts during this year of Covid have been heroic.

My dad has been at The Willows care Home for nearly 3 years with vascular dementia and Alzheimer's. He also has prostate cancer, heart issues and has limited mobility. He is 96 years of age. The staff have been excellent in their treatment. They respond with empathy and consideration to his demands.
The staff seem to have a great understanding of the complexities of dementia. If DAd wishes to eat in his bedroom they respond to is needs. Dad pays privately, but if he did not the treatment would still be excellent.

Mum has been very happy at The Willows, she has had excellent support from all the staff, they are always willing to chat to the family about Mum's needs and keep in regular contact with us, her room is clean and tidy and her personal hygiene is treated respectfully, a special thanks to two members
of staff for all their hard work and special care.

My mother has been looked after very well for over two years at The Willows. She always appeared clean and tidy and the meals are more than adequate. The staff are very caring and kind. There were a couple of issues I had to raise with senior staff, which I can honestly say was dealt with immediately.
The home has had lots of improvements to the interior and exterior which greatly improves the place.

My husband attends the care home twice a week. I find the carers very helpful and polite. My husband is very happy to attend and enjoys the food, entertainment and the people there.
It's a very good change for him.

My mum has been here for 2 years now and if she had not come here I'm sure she would be dead by now. The staff are amazing and really care about the residents. They always put a smile on mum's face, she can be awkward and stubborn and needs prompting to do things. But nothing is too much trouble and
everybody is treated with dignity and respect. Food is amazing. Thank you to all the staff. A++++

My husband went for respite care for five weeks while I went to visit my family in New Zealand. During this time he had a fall and had to go to hospital. Since his return, he has been disabled with Parkinson's disease and has now become a permanent resident. I cannot praise the staff at Willows Care
Home enough for the care he has received. They are always cheerful and helpful. I am always welcomed when I go to visit. My husband is well cared for in every respect.

My mum was lucky enough to have an en-suite room. Many didn't and some of the rooms were small and cell like. The overall physical condition of the home was average. The food was very good. There was often inefficient staff with too high a turnover. The staff who stayed were excellent and made up for
short comings in number and the physical environment. They are your greatest asset and you should pay them a lot more.

The staff were very friendly and helpful.
They treated my mum with respect and seemed to genuinely care for her.
My only wish is that I'd been called sooner and maybe I'd been able to be with my mum when she died, as it was it came as a shock to be told she'd passed away.

On every visit at least once a month for me and same for my sister, the staff have always been fantastic, helpful, friendly and always make time to discuss mum. Olayide Siyanbola

Job Title: Home Manager

What does ‘kindness’ mean to you?


“Kindness for me means putting our residents at the centre of everything we do and providing care and support at all times.”


As someone who has worked in the health and social care sector for over a decade, rising from carer to senior carer then deputy manager and then home manager, Olayide has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards of care and quality of life for residents.


Olayide closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every resident. She extends this caring approach to her colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Olayide remarked:


“First and foremost, I enjoy meeting residents and relatives and understanding their needs and requirements. I operate an open-door policy to discuss any questions or concerns residents and their loved ones may have and encourage relatives to visit the home to develop good relationships, which further support those we care for.


From a management perspective, I am committed to creating a positive and inclusive atmosphere, where everyone works as a team. I have installed an effective quality assurance and monitoring system to supervise all staff to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of residents and staff is promoted and protected.”


Olayide has also achieved much outside of work, with her proudest achievements being pursuing her dreams and equipping herself with knowledge and in education.


Outside of work, Olayide enjoys spending time with her sons and her husband, as well as relaxing watching movies, listening to music, and reading. She loves travelling and especially likes a day out in the countryside or at the seaside.
