I have been greatly impressed with Orchard Manor View and the care provided to my grandma since she moved in over a year ago. The staff are friendly and seem to really care for the residents who they take the time to get to know. The home is clean, light and does not smell. The bedrooms are spacious
and the residents are able to bring in pictures etc to make it theirs. There are several lounges you can use when visiting and daily activities for the residents.

My grandma is happy there and considers Orchard Manor View 'her' home rather than 'a' home which I think is the most important thing we could want from a care home.

I came from Lancashire to Leicester to visit my aunt. This was my first visit and I was told by my sister how wonderful the home was and how they cared for the residents. The standards were excellent and I totally agree with her choice of the home. I was extremely impressed I could not fault it. The
staff are amazing and the residents seem happy and relaxed. My aunt loves the home and has settled very well. It is like a home from home, extremely clean and tastefully furnished. Residents are encouraged to take part in daily living activities which is so important for dementia residents. I'm so happy my sister found this lovely home.

Orchard Manor View is a fantastic care home. My mum became a resident there last September and the care she receives is exemplary. Everyone is so friendly and caring and always smiling. My mum is 96 and always said that she never wanted to go into a care home but she is really happy there. She went
into Orchard Manor View as she became too frail to be by herself and she says she likes it there because she feels safe. There are various activities each day and the hairdresser visits twice a week. Any worries about her health and they are straight on the 'phone to the GP. A big thank you to all the staff there for all that they do to make my mum happy and safe.

I visit my Mother on a regular basis - 3+ times per week. Every visit you are greeted as a friend. Always helpful, answer any questions I have. Always clean - never ever seen it dirty. Food is excellent, mum always talks about the food being good.

All staff look smart, neat and are always friendly.

The kitchen always open for guests to make drinks for themselves and residents - even snacks and cakes available - all in all a brilliant care home.

Caring staff who are friendly and helpful. Home is maintained to a high standard and facilities are modern. Rooms are a good size with good furniture and décor.
I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a small residential home and where residents needs are met and individual care plans are
put in place.

Mum moved into Orchard Manor View in September 2016.
Since she has been there her heath has improved along with her confidence and mental state. She is cared for in a loving and compassionate way.
The staff have done everything they can to make mum feel at home and she is now very settled and happy.
She's thriving in a loving and inclusive environment. This is entirely down to the professionalism of all the staff.

Our parents were in need of respite care which has now become permanent and we are so happy they have been able to stay at Orchard Manor View. The environment is lovely and very welcoming, and the staff are superb - they have a very good understanding of Mum & Dad's condition and treat them appropriately,
but with the utmost respect.
The home has a lovely atmosphere at all times. The food looks delicious and the idea of the residents' kitchen to make drinks and have snacks in is brilliant.
The transfer of our parents into full-time care has not been an easy choice, but we are very happy with how it has been handled by the home.

My mum came to Orchard Manor View from hospital after breaking a bone in her hip. My mum is 93 years old. The staff have been excellent. I cannot fault the care my mum has received. Since being in the home she has had a chest infection and a few other problems. The staff have dealt with everything
very efficiently. They treat my mum with dignity and contact me regarding her treatment. My mum is very happy in the home. My sisters and I are very content with the care our mum receives.

Orchard Manor View, I am so happy I have found such a lovely home for my aunt.
Modern, spacious, ensuite bedrooms overlooking the gardens, tastefully furnished and decorated lounges.
A residents kitchen, which is like a home from home. A large activities room, which is so important for mental stimulation
with daily activities.
Excellent food and dining room, clean in every area.
The staff are very caring and approachable. Residents are treated with dignity and respect. The standards are very high in all respects.
I cannot fault this home, it is a credit to its owners, the management and excellent staff.

My mother with late-stage dementia moved to the home after a spell in hospital. Throughout her stay, before she passed away, the home and the care were both excellent; the rooms with opening doors onto the garden/patio are clean, bright and well-maintained The activities and company gave her the mental
stimulation that she had not had when she was living alone in her house and she became noticeably brighter and more interested in those around her after moving in.
The staff is always alert throughout the day and night; when my mother had a fall late one night they administered first-aid and called the paramedics on the spot. When it came to end-of-life care the staff treated her, and me, with dignity and respect which helped to ease a difficult time. All in all, highly recommended.
Whilst this is not the least expensive care home, the quality of the building and staff makes it excellent value for money.
The cakes in the visitor's kitchen are also highly recommended.

Care home exceptionally clean. All staff are attentive, polite and very approachable. All meals are carefully thought out and well prepared. Rooms are spacious and all en-suite, also each room has a door to the garden which is secure.
All in all my mother has an enjoyable stay and is looking forward
to going for more respite care.

Orchard Manor View has a great combination of experienced friendly staff and excellent modern living facilities. Service users are often telling me how good the carers are and how tasty and filling the meals are in the restaurant style kitchen. Would without a doubt recommend this home to family and

The staff are all so kind and caring. The food is a very high standard. Cleanliness is 100%. This is the best care home in Leicestershire. There is nothing we can fault about it.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.900)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.900) out of 10 for Orchard Manor View is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 9 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 5.000 for Orchard Manor View is calculated as follows: ( (106 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 106 Ratings = 5

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4.9 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Orchard Manor View is based on 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.9

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 30 registered maximum number of service users is 6, which has been reached with 9 Positive reviews. Points = 1

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
