Mum was a lonely lady that lived on her own, and myself and sister visited regularly, but jobs and commitments made it hard. Since Mum has been at Woodlands, she is so happy; she's dancing, singing, baking and doing arts and crafts. It's given her a new lease of life, and there are no more worries and
stress for us either.
At Woodlands, the staff are very warm and welcoming.
The home is warm, clean and tidy, and the food, according to Mum, is lovely.
It's a brilliant home and has smashing staff.

Father's Birthday in October and the home made it a special day! Family could all meet in the Woodland Fox and have a Birthday tea. A wonderful Birthday cake was made.
The staff are all delightful and welcoming. Dad is relaxed and enjoying his time at the home. Keep the up splendid work, we all appreciate
the efforts you all put in.

I feel my mother's care is excellent. She is made to feel as comfortable as possible. During Covid, safety procedures were in place and adhered to. She has been a resident for over five years. I would thoroughly recommend this care home.

Mum has been at Glenfield Woodlands now for over a year; she has vascular dementia, so her condition both mentally and physically can change often. As a family, we could not be more at ease knowing Mum firstly is at the right place of residence but has the right professional care in place. The staff
we deal with have become good personal friends to us, I even have my own 'hippo' mug for the cuppa I get on my visits, but I always refuse the cakes though. Joking apart, 100% happy with Glenfield Woodlands, thank you for all that you do for Mum/me.

Whenever I visit the home, it is always clean and tidy. The staff are friendly and welcoming which makes it a pleasure to visit, the activities that mum is encouraged to take part in along with the relationship she has with the staff and the excellent care they provide seem to create an environment
in which she seems to thrive, which makes me think we made the right decision choosing Glenfield Woodlands.

My father has been a resident at the home for nearly a year, the staff are very caring and the activity coordinator is an asset to the home, keeping residents occupied with a variety of activities and meeting the needs of individuals.
Staff are accommodating and caring, which is most important!
The
home needs a little refurbishing and decorating but it sits in lovely grounds and Father loves the garden.

The staff are very good, they clearly care for all the residents and are always very professional. They have many entertainments organised for them and a lot of thought goes into the activities they do, always a pleasure to see the updates on Facebook.

The care home was very warm and welcoming. Staff were very comforting and kind. I feel that I have been extremely well cared for during my time at the care home. Plenty to do activity-wise. Food is well prepared and tastes nice. I would highly recommend Glenfield Woodlands care home. Big thanks to the

My mum has been a resident in Glenfield Woodland for almost a year. She is very happy and settled in the home and now considers it her home. She has made many friends and the company of the residents and staff help to reduce my mum's anxiety... the staff are very helpful and obliging to all the residents
and are treated with such kindness and respect. The home only has 16 residents so, the staff know and understand the residents really well and attend to their individual needs. Most days activities are organised for the residents and my mum thoroughly enjoys taking part. I would definitely recommend Glenfield Woodlands.

Mum went into Glenfield Woodlands care home at the beginning of the pandemic, after a nasty fall at home. Initially, it was temporary but as time passed it became apparent that mum would not be able to return home. Until five days before mums passing, I had not been into the home. It was clear and reassuring
from our outside visits that she was clean and well cared for. It was nice that she could have her hair done. It was heartening to see mum taking part in the activities on their Facebook page. Never once did mum complain about her care and always said how good the food was how happy she was and how caring and friendly all the staff were. When mum's health deteriorated I was involved in the management of her care and I was also allowed to sit with her which gave me great comfort. She was treated with the utmost care, respect and dignity during her last few days. I cannot thank the home enough for the consideration shown to me and my family during what was a difficult time. Thank you.

Mum, who suffers with Alzheimer’s, has been a member of the Glenfield Woodlands family for well over a year.
Glenfield Woodlands is a small home with a lovely welcoming atmosphere. It also boasts a beautifully kept garden, which holds an annual summer fete.
All of the staff are lovely, kind, caring
and very helpful, nothing is too much trouble. The home has an activities coordinator - the residents participate in daily activities including flower arranging, arts and crafts, games and dancing, to name a few! There is a Hairdresser who visits weekly and a Chiropodist.
Communication is excellent, we can ring anytime and we are kept up to date with events and photo’s via social media.
The meals are excellent and Dad can join Mum for a meal when he visits.
Mum’s room is bright, clean and comfortable and accommodates her needs.
My mum is very happy at Glenfield Woodlands and has settled really well.
I can not tell you what a relief it is for us, as a family, to find Mum her forever home!

My troubles started in May 2018 when my lovely brother died suddenly. I missed him so much. I'd coped on my own with my dog, Suki (12and a half) for years. I stopped eating. In November my son got me to hospital. I was so thin, and they build me up. My son wouldn't let me go home in January, so found
this lovely care home for me and Suki (she'd been in kennels - which broke my heart being without her for 3 months). We love it here! Everyone loves Suki. My room has a door onto the lovely big garden. I look after the flowers and Suki has an 8-metre lead to roam. I'm so glad I came here with lockdown I would have been so lonely. It's lovely!

First impression warm and inviting. Very homely. Staff appeared to have been employed at the home for quite some time, making good continuity between members of staff and residents in a caring environment.

My mum has been a resident for just over five years. The home has a warm and friendly atmosphere. Staff have always been very caring and professional with her care and I have never had any fears for her safety and wellbeing. She has always been treated with respect and dignity. The food given is now
at a high standard with a good variety of choice. The previous manager was excellent and the new one is even better together with the recently employed deputy manager.

My mother has been cared for, for over five years and I have to say, I am extremely happy with the care she received. Staff are kind and considerate towards her and genuinely care.
Now under new management and a deputy manager, I have seen a change of real professionalism, caring and hopefully changes
to the home to benefit the residents. Overall, completely happy for my mum to have spent her last years here.

I moved Mum, who suffers from dementia, from a much larger care home to Glenfield Woodlands. She was very confused and slightly unsettled to begin with but soon settled down due to the caring staff and environment.
The home is small and very comfortable, and I thought this would suit Mum more than
a large care home. The staff are very caring and devoted, led by approachable and committed management.
There is a beautiful garden to the rear of the home. The home has a personal touch, is clean and tidy and smells fresh. The residents are kept clean and well-nourished.
Mum had a pressure sore which was never resolved in the previous care home, but since being a resident at Glenfield Woodlands the care and devotion of staff have overcome this problem.
Mum has a lovely bedroom with a bay window, en-suite toilet and wash hand-basin facilities.

The care that my Mum receives is excellent, always very clean rooms and smells fresh. Meals are always presented well there is always a choice for Mum if doesn't eat what is on the menu. Feel all the staff give 100% in their care and nothing is ever too much trouble.

They have given Mum the best care she needed. We were extremely pleased with the quality of care and attention given to Mum and we are sad to go, but Mum will be near us which will provide Mum with additional love and attention close at hand.
