The staff look after my mum well, they are caring and keep me informed of everything. They are pleasant to me, always ask if I want a cup of tea. Mum is happy there and she eats well, she has a nice room.

I have been here nearly a year and have found it a warm and safe place to stay. I get regular visits from my family and made some nice friends here. I enjoy going out on trips and visits to local places in Leicester.

My father suffers from dementia, but I know at Meadows court he is very well looked after, he is safe and comfortable. Nothing is too much for the staff who are kind, caring and very responsive. I am kept up-to-date and well informed about my father. The staff also go to great lengths to support me
in difficult or challenging times and I cannot thank them enough.

My name is Baljinder Kaur and I’ve been a registered manager at Meadows Court Care Home since January 2023. I am a very motivated, hardworking, reliable, honest, loyal person and a fast learner who can work well within a team or individually using my own initiative.


I am a professional who has successfully finished under graduation degree gaining a BA (Hons), NVQ 2 and 3 in Health Social Care with over 10 years’ experience. I am also currently doing a B.Sc in health and social care 3rd year (part-time on hold at the moment) whilst successful in my current employment as a Home Manager and fluent speaker in English, Hindi and Punjabi. I have good health and social care experience and transferable leadership and management skills to work flexibly in any environment.


My self-sufficiency and motivation always have led me to where I am, also I am not apprehensive about new challenges to achieve any opportunities undertaken.
I am passionate and have always enjoyed working with older people and I have a wealth of experience, knowledge and skill from my past roles. In my current role as home manager, I have already built up a good effective working relationship with staff, service users and their families. I can lead, motivate, supervise, support and assist the team to carry out their job roles to the best of their abilities. I can carry out full assessments and risk assessments on new and current service users. I have a good understanding of End-of-life care, Mental Health, MCA, Best interest decisions, Safeguarding, Notifications, Khloe’s, the Recruitment process, Challenging behaviour and Dementia. I have excellent knowledge on day to day-to-day operations of residential homes and the various audits that need to be carried out to ensure safety and effectiveness.


I can also work alongside professionals such as the Care Quality Commission and local authorities. I have worked my way from Care Assistant to senior care assistant, deputy manager and Home Manager. Having worked at every level has ensured I have a greater understanding of person-centred care and care planning. I am also trained in the safe handling of medication, safeguarding, moving and handling, care planning and many other trainings. I am very confident in liaising with GPs and all healthcare professionals. I am now looking to bring my wealth of experience and knowledge to my current position. I have a positive attitude and strive to promote all service users' safety, health well-being and staff independence, by encouraging them to fulfil their potential for their job role, my management approach is firm but fair.
