My father (97) has been in Braceborough Hall Care Home since January this year. All the staff are superb at what they do, making my father feel that it is his home. Dad's mobility issues and failing functions, due to his age, must create daily issues but all the staff here really do so much to help
him. Nobody wants to go into care through choice but at Braceborough, they certainly go above and beyond all expectations.

Beautiful care home with amazing staff that go above and beyond their duties. As a family, we can't thank the staff enough for the care our father/husband/grandfather was given over the last 2 years until he peacefully passed away.

Mother looks very well - hair beautiful, generally appears well cared for and clean. Had complained to me about the minimal care given when being helped to settle for the night, who is male. Mum takes ages to try to get herself comfortable after he has abruptly left her.
The home appears very cosy,
warm, comfortable and clean.
Carers take the role of cook because of a shortage of staff.

The staff try very hard to give person-centred care. The building is older but promotes a homely atmosphere. The food is traditional British food but cooked and presented well. Activities are provided on a regular basis with outside entertainers, e.g. singers, often visiting.

Kind, considerate care provided to my elderly Mother as a period of respite. Just before Christmas 2022 my Mother had a fall at her own home which unfortunately severely restricted her mobility. Braceborough Hall Care Home were able to offer a ground floor en-suite room at a very reasonable cost for
24/7 respite care while my Mother recovered from her injuries. I didn’t want my Mother to go into a residential facility especially just before Christmas but I knew I did not have the facilities or indeed time to care for her myself. It was a great comfort to see the level of care and compassion experienced by my Mum while at Braceborough. It is a lovely old building with a kind, considerate and competent care team and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Braceborough Hall to anyone looking for respite or longer term care for their loved family member.

Braceborough Hall Care Home has been caring for Mum for just over two years. We are so very pleased with the care Mum has received. It has a wonderful relaxed atmosphere, which makes Mum feel secure and cared for. We are kept up to date with her care and we feel secure knowing she is happy and safe.
Thank you to all involved in Mum's care, five stars from us and Mum. From a very grateful daughter.

The level of care provided to my mother is second to none. The setting is amazing, rooms are bright, airy and scrupulously clean. You can tell as soon as you walk through the door that it is a happy place. The staff are very caring and ensure that every single resident is made to feel like they are
family. I just cannot recommend Braceborough Hall enough.

My mother receives exceptional care and kindness from the staff in this well-maintained care home, set in beautiful surroundings and gardens; the views from the windows add to the enjoyment of this home. Entertainment provided and activities for residents to enjoy are excellent. Relatives are welcomed
and included in care planning to ensure the best outcome for residents and families.

Both my parents stayed at Braceborough Hall Care Home for 2 weeks of respite care, they could not talk highly enough of the quality of care received, the friendliness and professionalism of the staff. Would highly recommend both for respite or a longer stay

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.7 (9.655) out of 10 for Braceborough Hall Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 9 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.755 for Braceborough Hall Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (85 Excellents x 5) + (16 Goods x 4) + (5 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 106 Ratings = 4.755

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4.9 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Braceborough Hall Care Home is based on 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.9

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 25 registered maximum number of service users is 5, which has been reached with 9 Positive reviews. Points = 1

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
