Monson Care home is a purpose- built care home situated within the bustling city of Lincoln, whilst also enjoying the quietness of being outside the centre.

Monson is one of four care homes owned by Autograph Care, who believe that every person should live the life they wish to live.

At Monson, residents can choose between various rooms, offering generous living accommodation and various views. Each room has a call bell, an attached en-suite shower room, quality furnishings, a private telephone line, digital TV, communal lift to all floors which can access all communal facilities.

Monson has various areas for residents to enjoy, including two lounges and dining areas; a newly- refurbished café, which doubles as a fully equipped cinema, with large projector screen and surround sound.

The ‘snug’ where residents can read a book, or the many newspapers that are delivered daily. Residents are also invited to use the fully enclosed Mediterranean courtyard, with various seating. Monson has a hair salon on site, to meet all hair needs.

Monson does not have a private car park, but there is a public car park at the back of the home, via King Street, which is reasonably priced. Outside the home, it is permit holders only but there are a limited amount of permits, please ask at reception.

Monson Care home fees include 24-hour premium residential and dementia care with fully trained staff, an in-house laundry service, freshly prepared meals from the professional kitchen team, a daily activity plan that is tailor made to each resident ensuring that activities are always person-centred.

Monson is within easy reach of the city centre for all shopping needs, as well as only a short trip to Lincoln’s famous cathedral and castle, boutique stores, and lovely restaurants.

It was a difficult decision for my parents to go into care due to dementia. They both ended up in Monson about six months ago. The thing that stands out the most is the genuine care, dignity and respect of the management and staff. You can tell that they truly care for their residents and they are always
prepared to go the extra mile. The everyday kindness is ever present. Furthermore the management are very responsive in contact with families and both provide information and answer questions very quickly. Big thanks to the special and exceptional staff of Monson!!

I have experience of a number of care homes and Monson is by far the best in all aspects, a very welcoming home, with friendly and efficient staff. The home always looks clean and well-organised. There is always something going on to keep the residents entertained.
Communication with the team is always
good and very prompt, both by phone call and email. The staff are always happy to discuss any issues when I visit.
The most noticeable thing about the home is how calm the environment is, in comparison to other care homes.
I would not hesitate to recommend Monson to other people wanting short or long-term care.

I visited my mother today, it was her birthday. I was most impressed by the level of care and activity that had been organised. The afternoon tea was a nice thought and included all the other residents, for once my mum was the centre of attention. I had a fabulous visit today and look forward to my

Dad is very well cared for and the home is very active in organising stimulating and fun activities, outings and visits from local schools, therapy animals and musicians. I feel he's in the best of hands at this delicate stage of life and couldn't be happier with his care.

My mum has been a resident at Monson since July.
It is a hidden gem in the area. I was instantly struck by how lovely the spacious en-suite bedroom was and the hotel vibe of their restaurant and spacious lounge.
All the staff are so caring and friendly from the reception team through to the senior
team and manager.
As a family, it was a difficult decision to make to find a home for my mum who was struggling with bereavement and dementia. But I am constantly saying how lucky we were to find this one!
A special shout out to one of the ladies who is the most amazing activities co-ordinator!

In my experience, Monson Care Home
is second to none. My mother has been there for 14 months and the care and support they give her is just amazing, she speaks English but is Italian and with dementia it's a challenge but they rise to it 100%. Can't speak more highly enough

My dad has been here for 4 weeks for emergency respite. He leaves tomorrow, so I wanted to let people know about this care home. Anyone who rates this facility any less than 5 stars is not seeing what I have. As a carer I have worked in some homes that I wouldn't want my dogs in nevermind parents. From
the first day there were several staff members that came and welcomed my dad. Took him to his own room. This room was immaculate. The care and dedication the staff give to each and every individual in their care is second to none. They are very friendly to us visitors too and can me and my brother a meal so we could eat with our dad which was such a lovely touch. I loved seeing activities taking place and how well everyone took part. I highly recommend this care facility. To all the staff, including cooks, cleaners and the washing team thank you so much for everything you have all done, to contribute to my dad being able to come home.

My mother was discharged from hospital to an Assisted Recovery Bed at Monson Care Home, and is now in short-term care at the home whilst we plan for the future. My mum is a different person since coming to the home. She is settled, calm and content, and this is all down to the amazing care she receives.
The home is clean, cheerful and full of life. Mum joins in all the activities planned by the amazing staff, and we have no doubt in recommending the home and all the staff.

My friend speaks highly of his care when he is in for a short stay or a longer stay, he compliments the staff for their attention to detail, the food and the frequency of tea and biscuits. Cheerful staff and very obliging, nothing is too much trouble, he especially enjoys the musician, the animal visits,
and the sing songs, all credit to the entertainment manager.

Our father was admitted here by chance after a referral from the hospital. He had suffered a breakdown caring for our mother who has dementia. The staff made a point of getting to know him quickly, they seemed to genuinely care for him as an individual and he recovered well with their help. After a
week we arranged for our mother to join him. On all our visits to Monson, we witnessed a homely, cosy atmosphere and the staff were always cheerful, helpful and patient, never appearing stressed or under pressure despite the challenges of caring for such a range of needs in the residents. They communicated well with us throughout our parents’ stay. We felt overall that they were very well looked after. Our Dad enjoyed the lunches provided but would have preferred a more substantial meal in the evening. Our parents are now back in their own home with daily carer visits, however, Monson Care Home would be high on our list when considering any future respite care or longer-term arrangement.

My 92 year old Dad was admitted to Monson Care Home following a fall at home. It was a stressful and worrying time but from the moment we arrived the staff have been welcoming and reassuring. Everywhere is clean and modern from the comfy, cosy rooms, the spacious lounge and cafeteria-style dining room
to the beautiful outdoor areas. There are regular games, singalongs, and little challenges for the residents to take part in should they choose to. I particularly love the way all the staff take care to treat residents as individuals, getting to know their particular likes, dislikes and ways. Everyone is treated with affection and respect. The staff are busy of course, but whenever I have had any concerns about my Dad I've always felt like the staff have taken time to listen and to help. The manager is approachable leads by example - she and the whole team are not just doing a job, they genuinely care about their residents going above and beyond what might be expected.

My mum's stay at Monson was happy, successful and excellent. The care provided is of a very high standard. Compassion, kindness and residents' welfare and security is at the heart of all the team. Transparent and honest communication - I trusted the staff completely and more importantly so did my mum.
My mum felt safe and secure. The whole team work tirelessly and should be reminded of their importance and quality. It was a humbling experience. The whole team (it really feels like a team operating and managing the home) give care with kindness and dignity. It is a wonderful environment everyone from administration team, catering, carers, nursing, IT and social work so hard and they seem to do so with grace and professionalism. I have no hesitation recommending this care home at the heart of Lincoln City. They are in my opinion the gold standard.

My mother spent 4 weeks at Monson Care Home recovering from a hospital admission. She received nothing but excellent care and felt herself part of the family there very quickly. Staff at Monson are very caring of their guests and clearly have compassion and empathy for the residents and guests alike.
I always found the care and admin staff were readily available to discuss my mother’s day-to-day care and support to get her home again. They helped my mother regain confidence and mobility and encouraged her to achieve her goals for discharge home. I have nothing but admiration for this care home and the staff that make it what it is. - Excellent.

Anna

Anna Pacyna

Job Title: Manager

Joined: 2024

My name is Anna Pacyna and I believe my passion for looking after our elderly population started when I was looking after my grandfather. He was unwell and was palliative in his care.


I have worked in the care industry for over 12 years.


I started working in care, as a care assistant. I then moved into a senior carer role, and after 10 years, I was promoted to the Deputy Manager position. After a further year, I took over as the Registered Manager at a Care Home in Welbourn.


I know how challenging all the roles in a care home are, also how difficult it can be for new residents and their loved ones making that transition into care.


All the staff at Monson are supportive and happy to help with any questions.


Joanne

Joanne Varey

Job Title: Activity Coordinator

Joined: 2022

Joanne has been Monson's activity coordinator for a couple of years. She ensures that all residents receive person-centred activities, tailor-made to each resident's needs. Joanne is in charge of organising the daily activities, booking regular entertainment, whether that be in the form of singers, animal therapy and community engagements within the local area, as well as arranging day trips out of the home.


Joanne likes to spend her free time with her family, participating in weekly quizzes, and roller skating and is a season ticket holder at Lincoln City FC.


The best thing about Joanne's job is making the residents laugh, knowing that she has kept people engaged and fulfilled.


Lindsey

Lindsey Carr

Job Title: Head of maintenance

Joined: 2017

Lindsey is our head of maintenance and has worked at Monson for a number of years, dealing with any maintenance issues that may arise. Lindsey is a valued team member and nothing is too much trouble, often helping out other departments when needed.

Marie is part of our ARB (active recovery beds) team, looking after residents who have been discharged from hospital and who need some reablement to prepare them to live independently within their own homes.
Marie spends her time looking after her family, and spending time with family and friends.
Marie feels that the home has a lovely atmosphere, and enjoys working with her team.
